Are you familiar with the recent note sent out ( Tuesday, February 27th) from Headway in regard to an outage in their software that verifies insurance? If you understand why this happened, could you create a video about this? I received the letter and was a little confused with what is going on. Thank you ! 😊
yes you can, you'll need to reach out to the insurance companies on your own but it also uses the caqh. unfortunately the rates you could get yourself are often lower or only a few dollars more than Headway or Alma despite the greater time needed to do your own billing
Hello, new subscriber. quick question: If you are transferring from Headway, you said you will no longer remain credentialed. Does that include having to redo the CAQH form with completion? Or, is your status of having a "completed CAQH" remains intact and all you need to do is contract with the insurance payors? Also, if you are a newly licensed therapist, can you still hire provisional licensed therapists/supervisory billing or have to have a certain time vested?
Hello, so the CAQH will most likely be filled out for you by Headway, however, once you leave there will be certain aspects of the CAQH you will need to edit and correct. As far as being fully licensed I am not aware of any time needing to be vested, but rather most insurers will require that you are legally able to provide supervision. So be sure to check with your licensing boards and state laws about what it means to be able to provide supervision.
Helpful information, I’m lcsw in ny nj and ct. I was trying to pivot into accepting clients but it seemed so complicated.
Awesome. I hope this helps
Sorry I replied from my other channel. I hope the video helps

So what is it about these companies that they can get rates but smaller agencies or independent get crapped on
They are able to do that because they are essentially a massive group practice with 1000s of providers which gives them a lot of leverage.
Can you panel with insurance independently at the same time you have alma or headway?

@@mec-it6nw Thank you!! I'm looking into it. In my research I am seeing that many people are saying the rates are lower.
