As you can see from the video being shot in his bedroom or the Japanese animation soundtrack. He just does a video review and instead of self-publishing it He goes through the magazine.

I really like Nomos. Just got a tangente 38 date. I didn’t like the look of outside date ring but when you said how it helps you visualize the month that made me like it. I may have to look into getting one now lol
LOVED the inclusion of a youthful Mr Shteyngart in the background of the section on the Max Bill, given that it was his first mechanical watch. Brandon, you've done it again!
I totally understand your point about seeing how far into the month one is when looking at the date on the dial. The more I thought about it, the more interested I became. I actually find this so staggering that you've sold me the watch, and earned a sub! Cheers!
Nomos is such an underrated brand, which is a shame because their watches are incredibly well finished, fairly priced and house accurate movements. One quick observation, the movements are not decorated with Cotes de Geneve, but with Glashutte stripes. Yes, there is a difference.

I tried on a Tangente 42 sport yesterday, thinking my wrist could handle it easily. I LOVED the dial and bracelet, but HOLY COW, the lug length and thin bezel made it look YUUGE on my wrist. I can usually wear 43's w/o issue so I was bit disappointed. If you like Nomos, make sure you try it on before buying because they wear differently then their case dimensions. Great review BM, as a long time fan of your vids, I didn't think you would like this piece as much as you did.
While I'm a big fan of Nomos and have a Tangente Gangreserve, I'm not fond of this one. Their Bauhaus esthetic is a minimalist approach and this way of displaying the date is anything but. In clutters up the dial all the way around which I find too busy. For those who like it, it's a unique way of displaying the date.

Really great reverence to design and willingness to put out there some interesting timekeeping concepts like the placement of the day over a circluar reference; the start of the day of the month at the top of the dial, like the start of a new day and the rising of the sun. We've seen this before, but somehow Its this interpretation of a calendar pointer date that is less classical, that maybe makes us (me) see something we (I) didn't before, momentarily stopping one to appreciate, the meaning of time.
I love Nomos! I Purchased my wife an absolutely beautiful Orion 33 Rose dial for Christmas in 2019. It means more to both of us (sentimentally) than her two-tone Datejust. All of that being said...this video seems extremely forced. I wish Hodinkee would be more honest about all of their reviews. Every watch isn't the "best watch ever"
Another great review from Brandon, Its really more of a premium Junghans than a value Lange in my opinion. Also is anyone going to mention that fabric strap on a watch that price?
I agree with you on it being a premium Junghans. But I think the price comes from the fact that they develop and manufacture their own movements. The neomatik update being new has to be expensive to cover the costs of development. Junghans uses off the shelf swiss movements, which cost less than it would to develop and manufacture. So comparing Nomos to Junghans isn't fair in my opinion. Compared to Omega the who also develop and manufacture their own movements but ask 2 or 3 times the price you can kind of see a warped way how Nomos is considered by some as "value for money".

I really enjoy this guy’s content. A lot of Hodinkee stuff is kinda pretentious and just cringey, but he’s a lot of fun.
