Thanks for this excellent review and video. This is indeed an excellent watch. Many watches from Nomos feature a long lug to lug measurement, which can make these models difficult to wear for a person with smaller wrists. The Metro avoids this problem with its wire lugs, making it a very versatile watch. German watches generally offer superior value to Swiss brands and deserve a larger share of the market. 😀
Thank you! And yes, that is a very good point. If this were another model with 41, the lug to lug would be quite a bit more due to the long lugs. Metro family with its compact wire lugs doesn’t have that design, so they wear much more compact. Good point! I could/should have mentioned that in the review… next time! :-) Many thanks for the kind feedback and for watching! 🙏
Many thanks! It is one of the straps we make (and sell) in the shop 😄 Not sure if I can paste the link but it is this right here: shop.atelierdegriff.com/collections/classic-series/products/textured-sandstone
Great video! Did I hear correctly that your wrist size is 16.5cm? That would be approximately 6.5in, which is my wrist size as well. I'm having difficulty locating this at an AD so would always appreciate more photos to do a comparison. Thanks!
Hey Jeremy, you heard that correctly yes! :-) Can you try “any” Metro at your AD? They wear very different from most other NOMOS due to those super short wire lugs. I don’t think pictures are the way to go if you’re thinking of buying, highly recommend trying to get it on the wrist somehow.
Nice video, great watch. I'd argue the value proposition. At 4660 USD they're up against brands like Omega, with excellent movements, finishing, and brand equity. Plus a 5 year warranty. Even Tudor has a 5 year warranty at this juncture, so if Nomos wants to play in this price range they can't have a 2 year warranty, and they can't put this watch on a simple nylon strap at this price point either. No chance.

Very nice! I prefer the date ring complication on the Metro compared to the Tangente 👌
Agreed!
I love how you edit and make your reviews. It feels very fun and not as serious as many other watch TH-camrs, its a nice switch up.
Thanks a lot for the positive feedback! That is indeed the tone I’m aiming for :-) Life is serious enough.. 😄👍 Thank you for watching and Happy 2023!
Thanks for the great review!
Many thanks for the positive feedback!
Amazing review and gorgeous watch. May I ask what band size you were wearing in the video? Small or Medium? Thank you.
Great video! Concise as always! Did you like this better or your tangente?
They are quite different in pricing, but this would be my choice purely on looks (but it is way more expensive)
Excellent review! It's one of my next targets. Do you believe that this watch is better looking than the metro gangreserve?
Ooh very difficult. I think the OG with gangreserve is hard to beat, it’s just so cool and also one of my first true “loves” with NOMOS 🥰
Nice video! What kind of beige leather strap is this at 7:07? Works great with the watch!!

@@degriff i had a Metro 38 on the wrist that looked great. The extra 2mm face has me wondering whether the 41 Update would appear too large though.
