I had my hands on this watch a month ago while buying an Autobahn 1301 in Seattle. You're wrong about the eyesight. I'm 60 and I could not see those numbers that the orange was on either side of. I do need to give Nomos credit, that is a beautiful watch.
I bought this watch last week. When I went to the AD to try it on, I was underwhelmed at first. As you describe, the dial is not white/silver, but more cream/champagne/silver. Upon wearing it in natural light, I understand why. It would simply be too reflective if it were a cooler white, and I don't care for AR coating on top, risk of scratching a large domed dial is too great. So they muted the dial purposefully. Unfortunately, this makes the dial details less impactful than I had hoped, but I still purchased it. I agree on the lume, and I wonder if they could have aligned the date markers to match more precisely? Excellent review and observation on the dial color. It'll be the first thing people notice seeing the watch in person, yet nobody else bothered to notice or mention it.
Good review like always....but for me...too expansive for the specs...5 atm...polish.. beurk...original date...ok but the small seconds ....every 5 seconds? Very stupid....the back ok,the crown ok the straps water resist but the watch no....for me even 500 is too expansive .thank you esjborn
