    • @eurovnik
      @eurovnik 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Hey Nomos, Glashütte isn't just a sleepy rural town as described by your Berlin-based employee.
      The far right AfD is the second largest party in government there which I find troubling given Glashütte's history producing military products for two totalitarian regimes.
      What's Nomos' position on that?
      Are you a pro-democracy company?

      This has absolutely nothing to do with this video. And not everyone have to have to tell there own opinion about every thing all the time. So let's keep to enjoy watches at this channel. And in this case especially the great work of Nomos. And before you ask me - Fu.. AfD!@@eurovnik

    • @artgreen6915
      @artgreen6915 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@eurovnik from a quick bit of research I could not see that AfD themselves are anti-democratic. They are Eurosceptic and not keen on the rate of migration. They may be to the right of typical British politics, but those two viewpoints lead to Brexit and are not that rare in Europe today.
      Your question is somewhat aggressive. On the basis of the SECOND largest party locally you are asking the COMPANY about democracy?
      I expect the employees have a vote. Votes correspond to individuals not companies.
      Your attempt to link an aspect of the past with the future seems rather a stretch.

      It was not "good English", though. She used a lot of wrong words due to "false friends" between German and English. And she made a lot of these mistakes because of her lack of proper English vocabulary.

    My Nomos Tangente date is my favorite watch that I own. What a delight to see how it was made. Thank You for that, Teddy.

    I really enjoyed this one Teddy. I just picked up the Nomos Autobahn 1924 and it is such a beautiful watch. Sometimes I take it off just to sit and stare at that DUW 6101 movement running.

    Just received my Orion 35 from Teddy’s store earlier today and I couldn’t be happier. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for in a dress watch. Watching this video just furthers my feeling of pride in owning a Nomos.

    Teddy, Thank you for doing an in depth interview with Nomos. My first foray into watches was the NOMOS Tangente 41 Update, and it remains my dress watch to this day. I have also purchased a Club Campus for my son when he graduated for college, and that has started his entry into watches as well. This was a very enjoyable video from a watch company that really does give you a great value proposition. Thanks again.

    Great video. I love these deep dives into independent brands, and I absolutely adore Nomos: They are probably my favourite modern watch brand. I recently got my first Nomos piece for myself, a 35 mm Ahoi Neomatik. Their history, style, and commitment to their brand and to watchmaking are fabulous.

    These Brand Visits videos explain the craftmanship and number of hours put in for a single watch. I love these kind of videos, it's tell a complete different story when compared to a car brand where everything is done my robots

    Hey Teddy. Excellent video I love when you do tours of watchmaking companies. By the way, the shellac is not used as a wax. In fact, the shellac is de-waxed. prior to being used otherwise it doesn’t harden properly. Don’t you hate when people correct you. If you look me up, I spent years repairing vintage pocket watches, and also watches.

    Awesome video, thanks for this. I already wanted a Nomos before seeing this, seeing how they are made only makes that feeling stronger. I was surprised they were making their own screws even, I don’t think anyone would fault them for getting screws from a supplier.

    After watching this video, I have found myself with a deep, appreciation for Nomos. Didn't realize how much effort they have gone through to become an independent brand. My radar has a new "needful thing" on it and it is a Nomos watch.

    Its so good to see brands that still manufacture their own stuff with passion and have a reasonable price on their watches and not sell ETA movements in a stainless steel case for 4 thousand dollar only for the margin of the stakeholders. This really shows what’s actually possible in todays market.

    This is why I was determined to get myself a Nomos time piece.
    This is what in-house really means.
    My watch has the old movement where you can't simply rotate the date, but I don't mind.
    Everytime I look at the back, I am speechless as I enjoy the finishing art.

    Phenomenal job in this video. I absolutely LOVE Nomos. They make incredible watches. The Metro Date Power Reserve is my daily go-to piece, and I couldn’t be happier with it. I know their design language leans toward polished cases. I’d love to see them do brushed cases at some point. Really enjoyed the video, Teddy.
