    At 35:18 if you just want to render your strokes without the other objects you can set your collection "Collection" to holdout and only the strokes will appear in your final render. :)

    Fantastic tutorial. I use Blender along with Solidworks in engineering detailed assembly instructions (think IKEA). This is perfect. Thank you

    Hey I'm having a problem where Baking is using my CPU instead of my GPU and it's taking very slow, Is there anyway I can use my GPU instead of CPU?

    Looks pretty neat, but doesn't look like it's meant for animation, only single camera still shot.

    • @PCaggegi
      @PCaggegi ปีที่แล้ว

      It works GREAT for animation. It updates dynamically

    Does anyone know how you would render the grease pencil lines onto objects that are behind a transparent object? Like say you were looking at a room through a window?

      The developer covers it here: th-cam.com/video/L791csCEJBg/w-d-xo.html

    27:40 Did you, or anyone, ever figure out how to put that line art behind? I've spent the last 10 hours trying everything to figure out how to do it, to no avail. Pleeeease help me. 😭💀

      in the object properties in viewport display untick "in front"

      @eviehartman2895 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hanness142 Sorry, but that doesn't work. I've tried it a few times now. It puts the white line art behind the black line art, but not behind the object.

    • @hanness142
      @hanness142 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@eviehartman2895 another thing you could try is to go into the object data properties of your grease pencil objects, go to strokes and set stroke depth order to "3D location"

    Can this be exported as an SVG and edited in Illustrator to change the line weights?

    • @thorn-
      @thorn- ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can export a still SVG, yes. It comes in as all paths on a singular layer, so you have some extra work to do to deal with that ... but, can easily just select it all and change the weight. For animation, it's a post effect and so image/clip format only.

    I'm trying to follow along in this tutorial but from the jump I'm not seeing any line art appearing at all. I only see it if I convert my object to a Grease Pencil object.

      I solved my own problem. This only works in Camera view.

    At 28:00 the option to put the outline behind the object is in the properties tab, viewport display, in-front checkbox.
    I don't know how to do it for render.

    • @eviehartman2895
      @eviehartman2895 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That doesn't work. I've been trying various ways to do it for about 10 hours now.

    • @valtokic7393
      @valtokic7393 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@eviehartman2895 It doesn't work for renders as the checkbox is only for viewport display. But there are ways of capturing viewport. OBS screen capture for one. If you figure out how to get it working in render please let me know.
