Yes, yes! I can read in Russian :-). Hello, buddy, thank you for review, very cool. But you should heat the food can on the stove, not boil in the water. It's work also, but you spend more time for this. This main dish is not so good choice , the back-wheat with beef, much better. Cheers from Russia, buddy

Hey, thanks for watching.. heating them meals directly is always a pain haha, they burn on the bottom and need constant stirring.. plus I needed the water for the tea anyway, the main wasn't too bad.. just a little bland. Think I've got a Dutch menu up next :)

Great ration and review Mate. One of these days, I will get A smart phone to help me translate, LOL. I have not had that particular ration before, however, all other Russian rations are awesome. Good quality food. I really did not think I would like the vegetable caviar, but I love it! The apple jam, apple butter is AWESOME !!!!!! I wish I could find it here in the states. I love the kasha, kawa as well. Depending upon the country that makes it, some do need some additional seasoning, agreed. tea looked great. Glad you added all to the biscuit. Good way to do it Andy. Pick up, pack, leave nothing but footprints, well done sir. Great job as always friend, Peace, John.

Not bad scoff is that Andy. The reason the meat is always on the bottom is that most Russian/Ukraine forces that i have worked with, turn their meal out onto a mess tin. The meat, therefore, is on top when they eat. Good drills mate. ATB Moose

So, the eggplant/vegetable puree was to provide salt and minerals in the meal. Useful in hot weather. I do not believe that Russ Russians often take milk or cream with their tea. Shorting the National Guardsman on Hexi-Tabs was too bad. I bet each trooper soon knew to carry extras! For my tastes, based on the items, appearance and your approval, this would be one of my preferred rations. I liked the meat being mixed through the barley...and I like steamed barley.

That don't look like the greatest of rations, but one could survive eating it though.

I suppose if you were really starving that it'd suffice. The main entree didn't so great, a bit dry. Was there something else that was suppose to go with it? Solid review tho Andy. Can't wait to see your new camp chap! Cheers bro.
