I served in the U.S. Army. While on long missions, we would put the dry coffee grounds in our lip and let the caffeine wake us up that way. Bit of a pick me up

British rat packs can't be beaten ! Even biscuits HB ! Oat blocks are great and so is the drinking chocolate 😋 main meals aren't dehydrated either!

I don't know why they would put the Nutella spread in that MRE instead of a cheese spread. It would go better with the veg crackers and the spaghetti. Weird. The company who made your MRE is not far from me.

Andy I've no personal experience of this but the evidence of countless MRE vids I've watched but Tasters Choice coffee is notorious for developing black mould after about a year I think its disgusting that its still being packed in the rations most of the other reviewers open the accessories pack oh hell Tasters Choice and toss it won't even take the chance ATB mate Bill

Welcome back to the UK Andy, that's a nice quiet little spot you've got there.
The spaghetti looked a bit sloppy even with you putting less water in than recommended, and that creamer was just nasty. I've found a few non dairy ones that split in boiling water which isn't helpful. Thanks for the review.
You should try and get your hands on the Cheese and Veggie Omelet MRE aka the vomelet.
US MRE's: If the GMO's dont kill ya, diabates will! LOL

It's good to get MRE reviews. Then you get to know what you may want to take along in the field.
Reason i don't go for MREs; all the damn peanuts. Some of us have allergies :-) Guess some US personnel have that issue too. Nice review.

Australia is $55.35 6-10 days and $23.50 for 21 days

My own experience with US mre’s the coffee creamer doesn’t fully dissolve unless the water is just off the flame boiling hot
I always like under watered chilli con carne myself. It’s all about the crunch.

I was bummed for you when I saw the Veg Crackers and the Chocolate Peanut butter. That Chocolate Peanut butter is awesome, but I don't know about on a Veg Cracker.

Wow, I've never seen a "non-dairy creamer" go off after only a few years. I mean that's the whole point of it being non-dairy.
I'm wondering if the water wasn't hot enough for it to dissolve properly. MRE's are usually good about keeping things good.

Bit of a beard singe hazard there! I like the collapsible tube bellows to keep the face from the fire and smoke out of my eyes. I also was surprised at how much the beef chunks rehydrated in that packet. Does the packaging on this kind of item allow for opening and reclosing, for example to get into the trail mix early, while hiking or for quick energy at a stop along the way between meals?
Lovely area. Gosh, those meals are odd. So much packaging to haul back out. I agree, the trail mix does look like the best part.

The “gum” is Bisacodyl for relief from side effects of eating MREs.
I do like the idea of MRE's but they seem well expensive.
On eBay they seem to be about £15.
I could buy enough food at the Chinese Market to last a week for that much money.

I am in Ireland. There are many members of that forum all over. I have traded for Czech rations with the guys from the "crombat rations" channel and got the Czech rations from them out of Croatia. I had some nice Dutch ones to trade at the time.

Great place for a good shelter, but I hate those meals, to salty, to expensive and a lot of plastic.

Just messing around, but you can get Lithuanian MRE's for as low as £8 with Free delivery... Mine wasn't too salty, the spanish one I just uploaded was quite salty to be honest!
