  • Jim needs to tow some small boats so he checks out the quarter cleat and decides to beef up the backing plate.

    This is great! If you don't have starboard lying around, our local marine shop let us know that the average cutting board from a dept store is actually made up of almost identical hard plastic, and can be cut just the same for a fraction of the price. ☺️

      I normally use aluminum plate, but I had some starboard laying around.

    Hey Jim been watching your videos and love them, I am also in thurston, as someone who doesnt know how to sail but wants to learn, so far in the South Sound area all i can find is asa classes that cost alot, and the rec classes are not really going atm, do you know of other options around us?
