    For some reason this video has attracted some hate. Couple of people wilfully misconstruing the message. I'm NOT advocating this as a shooting method! Obvious I'da thought.
    It is simply an exercise I use to get physically and mentally 'gun fit'.
    If comments are framed in a polite fashion then I'll let em ride, but if the comments are mindlessly disrespectful then I block like a motherfucker.
    Yes I know a Gamo 10x mag will shoot faster - that misses the point. Part of the exercise is to improve manual loading skills.
    To those of you who understood the purpose of the video - thank you my friends. 😎

    It's not uncommon to hear me say "I held that one too long" after a less than stellar shot. There is definitely something to practicing at a faster pace.
    Thanks for the reminder in the form of another humorous and informative video.

    Couldn't agree more my friend, muscle memory is key, the smoother you are with your weapon the more confident you become, i started off using a "HW99s" lovely plinking rifle hadn't shot for years i'm 54yrs old now & i'm loving shooting again, so i treated myself to the "HW95k" and wow like any weihrauch it shoots like a dream, like your channel brother keep up the good content. 👍

      Both superb rifles my friend - I'm aiming to pick up a 99s soon as I can.

    Interesting tips,
    I sure do hold my breath for too long sometimes and start aiming all over the place and be a shakey Lowkey!
    _This is pretty much what happened in my last video while shooting my 1377..._
    _The first few shots off hand went fairly well but consistency flew out of the window very quickly!_

    Maybe I can do some shooting tomorrow and I will be practicing that. I'm sure it will be worth while. The opening skit was awesome! I bought my son a Squire strat and others. He bought himself American strat and I'm very proud of his playing. Nice inclusion of fine playing!

      Very kind of you my friend, thanks. I'll tell you what - Squiers these days are superb guitars generally. I have one that equals my Fenders in playability and tuning stability, although a Corona made Strat is as good as it gets for me.

    New subscriber here,love your videos, can you do a video about your time building hot rods,it sound very interesting. p.s you remind me of an old movie star the kind you would see in spaghetti westerns in the 60s and 70s, the kind of guy who gets the job done.😊

    • @PlanetDrewdog
      @PlanetDrewdog  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you kindly Robert. I'd guess the hot rod story is maybe for another channel, I don't think most of my viewers would be too interested to be honest.
      Well, I do try to get the job done too - and thank you!

    Gawd knows why this video would attract any hate. I fully, completely, agree with your point about being at one with your rifle! Or your manual camera, or chisel and mallet, or fishing road and line - there has to be a connection between the human and their chosen tools to get good results and satisfaction, surely?

    yes 100% spot on advice that i also do sometimes naturally with many types of rifles and pistols withought even looking just feeling ! we’ve personally had this discussion before as our being at one with your weapon of choice ,and it’s so important if you want to use it well,…. people should learn allot from your spot on analogy of going faster than you need to then when u go slower your so in tune and unstressed that you unlock a secret weapon in life that’s so powerful and it’s free… i use this for loads of general things in life
    especially when i have loads to to ,…i choose the hard stuff first so the rest feels easy ,….same thing and incorporated in shooting technique is only gonna ever be a winner
    ive used these meathods when i started shooting competitions with my springers and as i’ve shown you so people will know i’m not talking BS it got me at the highest level and i literally won 98% of the comps i entered and was riesling to the very top - then i had children 😂
    very good video as always and hope people can practice this very very priceless advice which is honestly excellent and untaught on any thing else i’ve seen on shooting youtube 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼😉

  • @charlesoutdoors2424
    @charlesoutdoors2424 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I actually did this with iron sights when I could still see them and the target. Nothing crazy about it for sure. I would sit and shoot just having fun. That's how I got where I could shoot targets out of the air. The gun comes up in place and you see the sights the target and squeeze the trigger at the same time. Awesome Videos! The Prosport and the TX 200 are 2 guns missing from my collection. But honestly after buying a Walther LGV Competiton ultra 6 years ago I quit buying any guns till a year ago. I bought a Blue Lament HW97K, Then found a deal on a Walther LGU. While looking for a trigger upgrade I found the Walther LGV on sale for 450.00 on Amazon. It had just the factory model number and a picture of the gray box. After I found out what it was I bought it too. After the Walther LGV there was nothing more I could ask for. Of course being in the US I had to upgrade the triggers to a Rowan match trigger and a Walther adjustable trigger like they came with across the pond. Knew that going in because they put lawyer triggers on them for the US market. The LGV is crazy accurate and way less hold sensitive than my HW97k and it's a 12 FPE gun with a Tin Bum short stroke kit.

      @PlanetDrewdog  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you kindly. You have good taste in guns brother. I didn't know that about the triggers in the States - strange.

      I don't know if the other generations are any better but my gen1 was so pellet picky that I ripped the second magazine off after the first one broke 😅

      Yeah, the jury is still out on the Gamo 10x for me. It feels good, lightweight, but the trigger... I know there are mods for the trigger - and boy does it need them.

Try to hold full size air rifle with wooden stock and scope on it in prone position for 1/2 hour and you will understand what Mr. Drew trying to explain...Have fun,God bless,stay safe...

  • @hendrickotto103

    Does' nt Muscle rather borrow its memory from brain matter, dear Mr "Dundee" ? Are you never tempted to throw the guns like your knife ? Because of "muscle memory" ?
    Jokes aside, I agree speed could be best made with short barreled break bbl guns, but there are not many that are full UK powered and with a length below 100 cm.. BSA XL comes to mind, but it has an iffy trigger. What other carbine than the Remmy would you recommend for speed shooting ?
    I think I did understand the message, but for pure fun probably shorter break barrels are preferable.... Likes of the long HW 35 or 80 rifles would put me off even before starting to try this...Many thanks, for your very special presentation of ag matters !

    • @PlanetDrewdog
      @PlanetDrewdog  ปีที่แล้ว

    What do you think to the gamo magazine break barrels? I saw your comment above and wondered if they were a gimmick or legit in your opinion

    • @PlanetDrewdog
      @PlanetDrewdog  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well... I can only give my own personal opinion - and many will (vehemently) disagree with me - some folk like them a lot.
      I found the magazine to be pellet fussy - it fouls up with some pellets, works fine with others.
      I found it to be an exceptionally long rifle - but I'm a carbine user.
      I found the trigger to be awful. Vague, spongy, impossible to predict the break point, accuracy suffered due to this for me at least. Not so bad shooting rested on a bench but useless for accurate offhand shooting.
      I still may make a video on it...
      Drew
