When i see a prosport with a stock thats been looked after im clicking , love my tx200 hc in .22 fantastic out to 50 meteres , and i have an hw97k in.177 , i love that also but not as much as my hc, i own a couple of higher end pcp rifles that cost a grand over their worth and i love those too , but when i go out with the tx the level of satisfaction is heads above the way i feel when ive been shooting one of my pcp rifles.
I got a 'tin bum ' tunning kit in mine , it's like it's got a silencer fitted , I can't believe how quiet it is , it's by far the best springer I've ever owned , and I've owned some ridiculously expensive custom built rifles.

@@PlanetDrewdog I agree that you don't have to spend loads on airguns, I enjoy shooting an old Cometa 5 .22 which was given to me by a friend who had lost interest. Also, a 1950s BSA Cadet .177 which was £40 and an Industry QB15 which was ~£30. It's surprising how much a rusty neglected old rifle can be improved with a clean, some oil and a small piece of copper to gently scrape off surface rust, a rag and some elbow grease. The BSA and the Cometa both have remarkably good rifling.
Good one buddy , and yep to don’t need to spend a fortune to have fun , and get some good guns , I have a b2 that my son left behind , also a mod .60 , and a cp1, pistol , and a pr900 , as well as a couple of others , then, 1 high end gun that I haven’t picked up yet , soon to be reviewed and revealed thanks shaneweightman

I love this channel. Such chilled videos. I'm still plinking about with my old CZ Slavia 630 .177. Saw a bit of neglect for about...7 of the 20 years I've owned it since my dad bought me it. But, still fires true. Still brings a lot of joy and I'm teaching my kids with that now. Also teaching the older nephews and nieces with the Crosman SNR 357 for a bit of fun along side some other CO2 pistols. It's just a bit of good fun. I am looking at a potential rabbiting rilfe though if anyone has any suggestions. I'm assuming .22 PCP would be ideal but I want something that'll do the job and do it with minimal stress (On the targets). Purely hunting and cookery purposes.
CZ rifles man, I like 'em. Yeah I'd be looking for a .22 for the bunnies, magazine fed PCP. I'll tell you straight now - I'm not qualified to advise on PCP rifles because I'm a springer man who only recently acquired a PCP, so my opinions won't be of value I'm afraid. I can only comment on what I have - so here goes: I have found the PR900W (Diana Stormrider) to be effective out to 30 yds. When I say effective I mean very accurate with the right pellet, fast to rack a follow up shot if needed, and with JSB Hades is still carrying sufficient energy at the target @30yds for the humane kill. It's negative point is it has a low shot count per fill, but enough for 20 rabbits at full power. I'll make a video to show the PR900 safe working range at sufficient terminal power, I think it would be useful for many prospective owners. Thanks brother, Drew
@@PlanetDrewdog I appreciate that! My mate went full PCP before going down the shotgun and firearms (Primarily .22 rimfire) but I'm just delving into the idea. Not only that, with the cost of living any cost cut (And fresh meat to be honest) is a boon at this point. There are so many places in Essex I could potentially get access to it seems like a waste. But, I will check out the PR900W as a starting point. To be honest, the tech behind the PCP .22 rifle range has come leaps and bounds over the last 10 years since I've looked which is promising. I am concerned about lifetime of the valves for pumping the PCP canisters over time but I guess that is a risk with anything nowadays. Thanks dude! Always appreciated! Look forward to the next video!
You have a cool collection Drew I love all springers no need to give an arm and leg in order to have the latest greatest rifles. I myself own a Remington sabre a crossman copperhead and weihrauch hw57 all in 177. Love your cp1 Frankenstein rifle looks like a mares leg shotgun 😅😊. One love to all 🇬🇧🇵🇰 Ali
Really like the look of your Prosport. I have a Walnut one and always wish I was handy/brave enough to refinish it and get it looking really outstanding. It came nice from the factory but isn’t that what us blokes tend to want to do? Meddle and change things for the fun of it with no logical reason as to why 😂 Anyhow, great collection and video, keep safe brother.
You mentioned that you wanted to get a scope for that rifle in 3-9 times, so I figured I would give you my opinion of that. I've always been a big fan of the Hammers scopes and I like their 3-9 x 40, but I recently bought their 3-9 x 32mm & it's smaller, lighter, and I swear it is the clearest scope I've ever looked through! Even better than a lot of the high end scopes I've looked through! And since it's a Hammers scope, it will hold up on a springer no problem! And it's a little cheaper than the 40mm, & comes with a lower 1-piece mount, which gets the height over bore really low! Just figured I'd leave that suggestion for you. Have a great day and thanks for the video!
Seems like you've got all bases covered. The SNR is on my list although I'm not a very good pistol shot. Still, I'm sure I could wreak havoc on feral balloons and have a lot of fun doing it. My armoury has grown in the last week from 0 to an HW30 and yesterday I picked up the RB2. Both gorgeous in their own right, both seconhand examples (although the RB2 is to all intents and purposes mint as is the '30). Can't wait to get on the range with them. What did you use on the Prosport stock?
Good to hear of your two new additions Dan - I came very close to picking up an HW30 myself, excellent rifle. Yes, you would enjoy the SNR 357. It is also your civic duty to help mankind with the impending balloon apocalypse. Every man must do his duty in these uncertain times. As for the Pro Sport - I took it back to raw timber with fine hand sanding and stained it with a Jacobean Dark Oak woodstain, then lacquered it, then wet sanded the lacquer with 1200 grit with warm soapy water and then a fine compound to bring a satin finish. Final polish with beeswax. Not how you're supposed to do it but it works 😎 Drew
@@PlanetDrewdog I'm not sure if there IS a right way to re-finish a stock... My dad was a cabinet maker and he had all sorts of weird and wonderful concoctions for different woods and desired finishes. The RB2 has already been stripped and oil finished but I'm going to have at the '30 at some point. ATB Dan.
I've currently got a remmington sabre 177 seems verry powerful tbh was debating on another springer but have decided to buy an air arms s510 instead hopefully around Christmas time but I wouldn't mind a cheap b2 to play around with possibly re finish and have a tinker with
Where have you gone not seen for a month and I really look forward to your videos I hope that you are well and doing OK and that you are just really busy so you don't have the time to post your latest video all the best mate

I love my springers and I’m a bit of a Weihrauch nut having two 95k’s in 22 and 177 and a 99s in 22 and the hw 97k blue laminate but also picked a beech stock which I saw locally and snapped it up rather cheap. Pistol wise I’ve an old bsa magnum in 22 which I will never sell along with my tempest also in 22. And a crosman 2240 which I carry in my kit bag everyday when I’m out checking my rat traps on farm jobs I see too. I do have a couple of pcp’ one been yet another Weihrauch hw100 synthetic in 22 and lastly my air arms s510 tactical in 177. But I don’t get out as often as I did on the rats due to health and I’m serious considering letting the pcp’s go and get a air arms tx200 hc or the pro sport but I’m not sure if the pro sport cater for us lefties or not as it’s a stunning rifle and would make my nephew absolutely drool if I got one. It just seems daft having two pcps sat not getting the use they were made for when I could nowadays get away with just using springers. Less maintenance less hassle.
You have a very fine stable of rifles there Jonathan, that's for sure. I'm told that you can get a L/H pro sport but only in walnut - I don't know for sure if that's the case, but I have certainly seen one. The TX200HC is a gorgeous rifle as you'll know, but I note that many of those who own both the TX and the PS tend to use the TX more often. For myself, the PS suits me like it was custom made for me and I feel lucky to own it! Drew
My 97k is the best I've ever had the pleasure of using, i have other great guns but the HW97 .22 is just the perfect fit for me. The only thing i think i might change is maybe getting a custom stock 97k at some time.

Hi Des, thank you so much for letting me know! Yes I'd like to go for sure, and I'd guess my buddy Stu will be going (he joined a few months ago I think). Drew
I haven't tried the T4E line, mainly because of the uk power limits. I can't see them being effective under uk law unfortunately. The 30j mods on the USA market would be effective maybe. I've been wanting a Cobra Adder for some time now - much more effective than a sub 12 air rifle! Drew
I just see on you video. You want to tune your pro sport 100% go for the vortec kit I have one in my tx you have to adjust the spring yourself if you want 12fp as it will be around 15fp also get the piston seal as well . Now my pro sport has a 22mill kit in as I shoot hft but its constant maintenance but the vortec kit is brilliant when my new stock turns up il be useing that with that kit its smooth fast and lest recoil
@@PlanetDrewdog you won't be disappointed you have to cut it down but its so easy to do these a washer set at an angle so you just cut the spring re dress it and it slots right in . Your get it cheaper if you email him then your get the piston seal as well as the kit for the same price as your just get the spring a guide kit on line the distributor for vortec is UK based ive sent a few people to him and they got it cheaper than me . Your need to cut about 2 1/2 ish coils of to get 12fp . My advice take a couple of and if you get the piston seal as well then stick 200 through it to settle and bed in . Then re cut rebed . Then chronograph it again. It will sound completely different and hold sensitivity not so bad mines set at 10.8 pellet on pellet at 25m 5p groups at 45y let me no how you get on

Nice collections of air guns. Surprised you don't have a Daisy 25, the real classic BB gun. The 25 pre-dates the RR by several years and a much better shooter. Got my first one when I was 8 and passed it down to my son. Got another one and shot it for years and passed it down to my grandson. On my 3rd one now and they are all still shooting great. I think the RR was made famous because of the cartoon strip and movie, not because it was a good shooter.
Yes indeed, I have a Model 25 in my sights right now... Having said that - I was very surprised at how well the RR shoots @ 20 -25yrds. Consistently accurate enough for beer cans 😎 Drew

Yeah I'm impressed with that TX for sure.
Drew
I got a 'tin bum ' tunning kit in mine , it's like it's got a silencer fitted , I can't believe how quiet it is , it's by far the best springer I've ever owned , and I've owned some ridiculously expensive custom built rifles.
Great video Drew, that CP is sweet. Enjoy seeing the collection of Airguns, I've got a rather large collection I'll show eventually. My favorite at the moment is the Crosman Trap master 1100 shotgun. Great video, Cheers
You have a Trapmaster 1100??? How cool is that! Ok now I need a new video from you on that please Dana! 😎
Drew
Yes the Remington is a nice rifle shoots even better with a TBT tuning kit fitted , nice rifle the Air Arms I use my favoured HW 99s .22 , nice info nice video Cheers 🍻
I keep looking at picking up a 99s... I'm impressed at what I've seen on them.
Drew
@TheWeaponizedHippie Drew , you should have a look at Si Pittawaty using the HW99s .22 you will be impressed with the Si and HW99s, I am over the Moon with mine . OK Sir 👍 👌
Hi Drew even though it's not an expensive collection it is a nice collection and an all round collection. I am currently back down to just 1 rifle which is my CP2 but must say I love it to bits and am fairly content at this stage
Thanks Tyrone! What happened to your PR900?
Drew
@@PlanetDrewdog hi Drew, had to sell it for some emergency funds for a medical procedure for my better half. No harm no foul I still have my 1st great love, my CP2
@@African-Budget-Pellet-Gunner Oh my brother I hope she is doing ok. My very warmest wishes to you and the family,
Drew
You might be able to find a used HW77 or 77K, excellent spring rifles, iron sights and a look reminiscent of a tube magazine or double barrel.
Yeah both beautiful rifles. If one came up at right price, right time - I'd pounce...
You've got me guessing now on that high end gun... I'm gonna guess Daystate!
All the best Shane,
Drew
@@PlanetDrewdog I was looking at a wolverine 2 , but the guy thought 1099 quid was ok , for gun silencer and cheap scope but I didn’t , to put you out your misery , it’s one of the FX , guns I bought in the end , brand new ,, all will be revealed very soon buddy , cheers shane
@@shaneweightman The FX's I've shot are bloody awesome.
I can only comment on what I have - so here goes:
I have found the PR900W (Diana Stormrider) to be effective out to 30 yds.
Thanks brother,
Drew
Thanks Ali my brother - yeah the CP1 is fun to use. You have nice rifles there, HW57 is very nice 😎
Drew
The stock came out nice 👍
Thank you! I'm certainly glad I did it. 😎
Drew
Love what you’ve done to the stock, really suits the rifle. Also like that CP-1 in the stock, it’s different and looks fun! 👍
Thanks Jon! Yes the CP1 worked out well, very enjoyable to shoot - and accurate. 😎
Drew
A vid on how to antique the stock would be spot on 👍
Really like the look of your Prosport.
Thanks Matthew. Yeah half the fun is in taking stuff apart and messing with it for me 👍
Drew
Really enjoyed the vid, thanks for sharing!
Thank you Shane 😎
Drew
Thanks for the recommendation brother - appreciated, and I'll look into it 😎
Drew
Great video!
Thanks!
Drew
Not how you're supposed to do it but it works 😎
Drew
@@PlanetDrewdog I'm not sure if there IS a right way to re-finish a stock... My dad was a cabinet maker and he had all sorts of weird and wonderful concoctions for different woods and desired finishes. The RB2 has already been stripped and oil finished but I'm going to have at the '30 at some point.

Dan.
I've currently got a remmington sabre 177 seems verry powerful tbh was debating on another springer but have decided to buy an air arms s510 instead hopefully around Christmas time but I wouldn't mind a cheap b2 to play around with possibly re finish and have a tinker with
For what they cost, a B2 is fun to mess around with - and the one I have is actually accurate too 😎
Drew
That such a nice collection.
Thank you Iwan 😎

Where have you gone not seen for a month and I really look forward to your videos I hope that you are well and doing OK and that you are just really busy so you don't have the time to post your latest video all the best mate
Yeah sorry about that, I just had a couple of weeks working away - no opportunity to make a video.
Back now though!

@TheWeaponizedHippie no worries just checking in with you to make sure you're all good all very best mate
I am not a huge fan of my pallet wood b2 myself haha
But you sure don't need anything fancy to shoot and have fun in the backyard!
Looks like you got plenty of -toys- to play with.

Yeah B2's come in two versions - 1) usable - or 2) wall ornament...
Yeah it's a good feeling when you shoulder a rifle and it just feels made for you. 97K is one hell of a rifle. 😎

Hi buddy
Just a heads up if your interested, LATC are having a charity day to raise money for protate cancer charity on the Sunday 23rd April £10 including drinks and food there is gonna be a raffle for some great prizes including an AA S510t
It would be fantastic if you could come along!
Hi Des, thank you so much for letting me know! Yes I'd like to go for sure, and I'd guess my buddy Stu will be going (he joined a few months ago I think).
Drew
I wish they sold those Remingtons in the US, it looks like a nice rifle even though its budget friendly.
Yeah I can't understand why they don't. A 20fpe version would sell like crazy I think.
Drew
Awesome air rifles, bro! Have you tried repeating crossbows or the T4E line?
I haven't tried the T4E line, mainly because of the uk power limits. I can't see them being effective under uk law unfortunately. The 30j mods on the USA market would be effective maybe.
I've been wanting a Cobra Adder for some time now - much more effective than a sub 12 air rifle!
Drew
@@PlanetDrewdog So true, bro!
Drew you need to check out my BAM 40 in .22.
Yes indeed, they seem to have a lot going for them from what I hear.
Thanks David

I just see on you video. You want to tune your pro sport 100% go for the vortec kit I have one in my tx you have to adjust the spring yourself if you want 12fp as it will be around 15fp also get the piston seal as well . Now my pro sport has a 22mill kit in as I shoot hft but its constant maintenance but the vortec kit is brilliant when my new stock turns up il be useing that with that kit its smooth fast and lest recoil
Thanks Marc - yeah I had decided to go Vortek - you just confirmed it 👍
Drew
It will sound completely different and hold sensitivity not so bad mines set at 10.8 pellet on pellet at 25m 5p groups at 45y let me no how you get on
@@marcstephenson135 Thank you, that's really helpful and much appreciated. I'd like it sitting around 10.8 myself - perfect for these rifles I think.

3 is 1 for me , i hope ..
Have you used dart rounds yet
No, not so far.
Consistently accurate enough for beer cans 😎

Instead of paying a couple hundred pounds on 5 guns why not just buy one good rifle?
Yeah agreed. Thats why I sold everything and just kept the pro sport. I only acquired cheap rifles for something to make videos on.
