She’s never listened to the whole album so she wouldn’t know. Jay, try playing a whole “side” (in the olden days albums would have two sides). If you think you like LZ, just wait until you take the time to listen to a whole album. It’s an experience unto itself. Only then will you understand the comments about splitting this song from the one that comes next on the album. We forgive you, but it’s time for you to graduate to listening to a whole LZ album in one sitting, that’s how they were made, that’s how you should listen as an aspiring LZ fan.

Congrats on coming up on 20 million views. WOW! I absolutely LOVE your LZ reactions.
In 1974, I was 9. I asked my mom if she would please take me to see LZ. She declined. She was right to do that. I was crushed when Bonham died and crushed further when they broke up. But what were they to do? The heart of the band was gone and they were ready anyways to go their separate ways. My dream came true in 1996. Couldn't score tix to see them in L.A. and only by shear luck was I able to score tix to see them at the San Diego Sports Arena. Been to about 200 concerts and I can say without hesitation it was the rockingest concert of my life. Everyone was on their feet the entire time. Joints were being passed from every direction. Robert Plant sang his ass off!! and Jimmy and JPJ were on their A++++++ game. Take care and take time to care for yourself. Cheers

I grew up listening to Zeppelin long before there were CD's. On the radio, since Heartbreaker and Living Loving Maid were so close together on an album, a disc jockey would just let it go from Heartbreaker to Living Loving Maid, playing both songs. It was to me like the perfect companion to the abrupt end of Heartbreaker. Now I just hear the abrupt end of Heartbreaker with no Living Loving Maid and I just can't seem to get used to Maid not being there.

Seriously, you need to enjoy Zep like we all did back in the day. Start with Zep 1 and listen to the whole album and the move to the next, and the next and the next... it will be one of the best weekends you ever had✌🐦🌻😍

If you listen closely you can hear the peak level drive into the red on the input to the soundboard. There’s a difference between distorted or overdriven guitar amp distortion and source overdrive distortion - Jimmy Page turned the levels UP on the studio microphones to all the instruments and vocal mics and let them plow into the red on the meters.
In standard studio production that is a no-no. You can ruin expensive studio equipment and it doesn’t sound good on the recording. But this is Heartbreaker from Led Zeppelin. Jimmy knew what he was doing!

Jimmy sounds like he might be playing with piano strings, the tone is so heavy - until the bass comes in. The show-stopping solo is, incredibly, an afterthought; added to the track after the rest of it was completed. Interestingly, the young Eddie Van Halen was inspired to begin what he called 'tapping' after witnessing Page's live technique on this track.

Hi Javy Beautiful format your channel. I wanted to tell you the following: HEARTBREAKER is a difficult song due to its format and the different atmospheres it generates, so it is highly recommended to listen to the song that follows immediately Living Loving Maid (She's Just a Woman.
    Why?
The song on the vinyl cut as on the CD, starts as soon as HEARTBREAKE finishes and I always thought it was on purpose, because it introduces you to a lighter song and immediately takes you out of the dense atmosphere generated by the previous one. I could never confirm it but when I have pointed it out more than one person has told me that my analysis was very likely. For this reason, I invite you to take the test.
