One of my all-time favorites. I've been listening to led Zeppelin since 1975. Had the privilege of seeing them in LA in 1977 (I think it was '77). Could be wrong on the date, we were smoking a lot of pot back then. It's so nice to see that the band is still appreciated by younger people today

COMMUNICATIONS BREAKDOWN and GOOD TIMES-BAD were their first big radio hits. For decades, this first album was among the best of all first-albums. Here it is, 52 years later, I think it'd easily be nominated for First Album awards.

The band’s formation was nothing short of miracle. I recalled Page contacted someone to join his new band but that person had committed to another band / session / tour, then they auditioned Robert Plant, then Plant said he knew a drummer, the drummer turned out to be arguably the greatest drummer in the world; John Henry Bonham

It’s the only complete concert set the surviving 3 members of Zeppelin have done since Bonham’s death in 1980. And the coolest part? Bonham’s son Jason is playing drums. I was only 3 when Zep's first album came out. That makes me 54 now. So I missed out on a lot of cool shit. What I did do was what you JAYY are doing with you tube is the same as what I did in my teens with research and word of mouth to find new awesome music. I envy you for being able to just find it at your fingertips. That's amazing. The Saturday afternoons I would spend perusing a dozen used record stores looking for anything cool was a very enjoyable hobby. Keep diggin', there's a ton more out there. BTW, can you imagine what it must have been like to hear a song like this for the first time on the radio or on a turntable with really good speakers when you were 15 or 20 years old, My what a rush that era must have been. Cheers, the canadian Queen nut.

Yeah, this was our intro to LED Zeppelin, first song first album. Those bass drum triplets are amazing, and we all went nuts. I saw an interview with Carmine Appice, Vanilla Fudge’s drummer. Zeppelin toured with Vanilla Fudge on their first tour. Carmine said he was telling Bonzo how much he loved those triplets, and Bonzo told him he got it off one of Vanilla Fudge’s recordings. Carmine didn’t even remember he had done it. Bonzo had everyone’s attention with this song.

When, in 2007, the band regrouped to celebrate the life Atlantic Records boss Ahmet Ertegun, this kick-started the set; indicating their intention to recall the journey their music had taken under his watchful eye. The opening track on their first album and one of the few originals they had at that stage, it's a powerful statement of intent. It's not without reason that label-mates Iron Butterfly (whose name probably inspired their own) once refused to go on stage as headliners, after the Zeppelin had drained the audience as support act.

Have you ever reacted to good old Celtic songs? Some of them are so funny, I think you'd enjoy them!
"Donald Where's Your Trousers" (I like the Irish Rovers' version) is hilarious, and so is "7 Drinken Nights" (many versions of this, and all funny, but Celtic Thunder's stage version is probably the most entertaining).

This song was the first single they ever released, back in 1968, and a big hit.

He's actually playing drums with one hand cuz the other arm is playing the cowbell and you'll hear the quickness of the bass drum pedal

Pretty damn great for the late 60's. This band along with Pink Floyd will endure forever.

There's a cover of this by the band Godsmack that's pretty good too. Also there's a young Japanese TH-camr who plays drum covers, her name is Yoyoka. She did a cover of this at 8 years old and nailed it, There's also a reaction video of Robert Plant watching her play this song and even he was impressed.
