Love the cat down pipe system,, such an incredible modification,, it got a combination of satisfying sound and simplicity I mean it’s not much and not bad too just a perfect daily use touch; great video pal keep it up
I'm curious as well as to how you adjusted the mufflers to fit. Nothing for the engine was custom yeah? So the sound is straight from upgrading the exhaust system?
Yes sir, we had to heat them up quite a bit and bend them to the shape we wanted, for the right side. The left was actually right into place. We just didn’t have the camera charged up while going through that process. There are not any upgrades to the engine. That is all exhaust!
Hey Chad, in the rear we had to heat the pipes up hot and then tweak them in position in the bumper cut outs. the rest lined up from the mufflers to the engine. Thanks for the comment!
Great video This actually sounds good. Not as deep or cheap sounding as other dna motoring catbacked 370z videos... which is strange actually since you have the same setup. I was actually watching to see the impact those helmholtz had on the system. Would you say it reduces the overly bassy tones? Also did you have any drone? Lastly what length were those resonators after the cats they seemed longer than the mufflers.
Hey Adam, it’s been a while since the Z was in our shop but there was no drone to the sound. very nice tone at highway speeds. not certain of the lengths but if it comes back in the shop I’ll do some measurements for you. Good luck on your projects, Nelson
@@mitchnelsonperformance thanks if you had to guess would you say they are about the size of the shortest vibrant 12” resonators or are they closer to the 18” length which is the next size up? Was wondering because I wanted to use similar length on my setup.
Hey Alberto, I couldn’t confirm that? Similar but not sure if that exhaust and suspension takes the same path? I had a G37X, fun car! Good luck on your project.
I bought the rev 9 cat back for my 370z looks just like this one I get a really annoying whistle noise after about 5000 rpms and above it’s a manual any idea what that noise could be? Super annoying and embarrassing
Hey Marcos, not certain unless it might have an air/exhaust leak somewhere in the system. I would use a SMOKE TESTER to rule out any leaks. (It blows smoke in the exhaust and then you can use a UV light to find any leaks).
This guy is a good mechanic. It’s the little things that make it so much easier. Especially spraying those cat bolts.
Thanks Undercover Trolls for the kind words and the comment! Good luck on your projects! Nelson

Yea, it was a nice deep sound 👌🏻
Thanks for the kind words and commenting. Nelson
Proud of you!! Looks good!
MaKenna Chumbley thanks suga
What did you do to get them in the right Angle? Did you have to heat the pipes and bend them to form into the right location?

What tool did you add to your impact wrench? That bendy thing
A swivel extension!
5:29, it did NOT align well, did those pipes move pretty easily to line up since it has the flex hose on it? How did you line it up??

Does anyone know the bolt size and thread pattern on the bolts for the hanger at 3:46
hello, I’m afraid that vehicle has been away from the shop too long to recall.
Can I get a link to the copper spray you used?
it was permatex brand copper gasket spray
Do these give you a check engine light due to new exhaust system??
hello, no, it did not cause a check eng light.
Hi . Check engine light will appear if you change the Catalytic converter (with a test pipe or high flow catalytic), otherwise nope.

Would this fit to the G37x?

looking at buying this exhaust, I installed an axle back but the drone is unbearable. How do you like this, how is the drone?
very little just a nice tone I would recommend it!
where can i buy the exhaust?
I have seen it at carID. Torxe has one too.
Ought to get the mustang in there!
Harley Parsons bringer down!
@@mitchnelsonperformance idk man you guys probably hella busy in the quarantine 👀😂
If i was to do the same install, would i have to tune the vehicle or could i leave it as is?
Hello, no tune needed, but a good tune combined with this exhaust system can further improve performance.
It ran perfect without the tune.
