  • HI! We're back with Part 15 of the Fury rebuild! This time I'll get the right 1/4 panel dialed in with Agent 673 and I'll install the trunk repair panels and then the big day as the right 1/4 goes on for the final time! No rest for the wicked though, and I'm immediately on to making more repair pieces for the left side... Now that the worst of the metal work is roughed in, the project is going to pick up speed!
I hope you enjoy our "Turn up the Base" feature this week: a 1958 Citroen 2CV on loan from Agent 9088, our west-coast French Car Division star... He purchased the car in Edmonton here, and it was taking a rest at CWMC before shipping home to Vancouver, so we had to take it for a burn around the compound! I think you'll find it is deserving of the title of "Most Base Thing Ever"!
Thanks to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments! We do appreciate that anyone would take the time to leave us a note. If you would like to help keep our channel going, you can get a sticker or a hat or a coffee mug at:

So have you given the fury a name yet? All good projects need a name. If it hasn't been suggested; "Furyous," with a deliberate misspell. Fits well on a vanity tag if it's not been claimed yet in your territory.

What a job on that quarter panel! And to see a Plymouth Fury and an early 2CV on the same video sums up why I like this channel so much. Many thanks!

Scott, hey. You are a superstar of making panels. I can't believe your craftsmenship skills with metal. You are a true bodyman and you should teach your skills to the young people who want to learn true bodywork. Your hammering, dollying, straching, shrinking, welding, and the attention to the details is second to nobody I've ever seen. You sir are a true master. You would have no problem making a car topping Chip Foose and those other fake tv car building shows. I would love and be honored to have my 65 Impala done by you sir. Thank you for the vedios scott

That quarter panel is spectacular -- you can barely see the seams in the *many* pieces of metal that were used to make it. It's friggin' *art* is what it is...

I am always amazed again and again by your old school knowlege and skills of good old body repair. Even while shrinking metal you take your time and work smoothly and carefully: When you hammer things you do it amazingly soft and careful. And you never rush things. Not like me, I am not a very patient man.
There was an enormous amount of time, knowlegde and work invested into this beauty. Now that all can see light at the end of the tunnel, I can only say: WOW! Few people on the whole planet would even have considered saving this car and at the same time having the talent to do it. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!
By the way: Yesterday I saw a DS Pallas in top condition at a car meet. So a few are still out there.

We all know that Scott is a craftsman and that his talents are huge, but to quote him from this video demonstrates the thought and knowledge he has that are otherwise tough to comprehend. This is epic! "Two welds and it's already pretty rigid so - this has to drop off vertically so -if you know this and know this and that -right? Then you know that and you know this because you have this - and you know this drops off then you can be relatively confident that you've got that and that this is vertical that everything you have to do in here can be relatively easily put together"

That quarter is fantastic!! An artisan at work honing his craft. The french car was featured on mythbusters because with simple hand tools the car was disassembled into a pile in mere minutes. Then converted to a motorcycle shortly after. Frankers looks vibtant and flourishing. A happy girl indeed!! Thank you for the effort Scott and agents!! Great video!!

You sir, are an artist. I have never seen anyone take a flat piece of steel and mold it into a quarter panel by hand, especially one with all of the curves and body lines of a 60 Fury. The panels look amazing! I would imagine that repair panels for an old Plymouth in decent shape are virtually non-existent. Please keep up the good work. I can't wait to see the car in primer and paint. Looking forward to the next update. Cheers!

I've been following you for round 5-6 years and playing catchup with your content after seeing the last couple of episodes where you get it on the road. I have so many subscriptions I got behind on what youtube offered up of your content. I'm considerably older than you and I would say after a lifetime of mucking around with all aspects of rebuilding old junk rusty cars skill level is probably around 60% of yours. The work you have done on the 1960 Fury blows me away. I'm old and past doing what you do, but I'm happy that people like you are still out there and preserving the past. It's so easy to buy one of the more popular cars and buy repo panels which often still need many modifications to make fit. It's entirely another matter to make what's needed for rarer and less popular models where nothing is available after market. Very impressed👏 🍻

I'm very interested in this project, because my second car was a 60 Plymouth station wagon that I bought for $150 in 1966 at the same time I got married, and joined the Air Force. Car's gone, but I still have the bride. I guess she had a better warranty.
We drove that big barge all the way from Milwaukee, Wisc. to Edwards AFB, in California on old Route 66, loaded down like the Okies from the 30's. Two 18 year old kids. One Pregnant,...(her) My mother thought we were crazy and would never make it, but God smiles on the young and the stupid. We checked both boxes. We stopped in Las Vegas, and I remember pulling up in front of the old Thunderbird Casino with all the posh cars around us, and us with the mattress and bed strapped to the top of that old 60 Plymouth wagon,....hilarious! Fall of 67 we drove that car back again, only this time there were 3 of us. We took the Northern route through the Rocky Mountains in Utah. See, told you. We were too stupid to think we wouldn't make, so we made it.
Well, that's my 60 Plymouth story. Hope you enjoyed it.
    Keep the memories coming, guys.

The car museum in Tacoma, Washington where I volunteer on occasion has in it's collection a 1958 2CV that made an unsuccessful attempt to make it from Peking to Paris. This Fury project is a delight to watch, so looking forward to the rest of the rebuild and the completed car is I am sure going to look stunning. My favourite build on YT and one of my all time dream cars too! Maybe one day I will find a 60 Plymouth wagon to add to my fleet!

that rear quarter repair deserves a bare metal clear coat, very well done.
i used to work on those 2cv's we ordered a rear chassis leg for one, 4 pieces of flat sheet steel turned up, lol

100th like. You did a fantastic job on that quarter. Just shaping that little piece for the other side showed a level of skill not commonly seen and far, far, beyond my capabilities. Always a pleasure.

Locals in the area: Oh it's just Scott and his cars.......😄
How many hours do you think you have into this car? I love seeing the progress!
Scott: Removes entire side panel of car.
Me: *stares in amazement * 😳
