  • Hey guys! This week we are driving the 1960 Plymouth Fury "Spliced Twice" project that I started 4 years ago! It has been a real adventure putting this fabulous Fury together and we're printing a special-edition T-shirt to celebrate! I hope you enjoy this special "All-Fury" video; it took a lot of time to put together, and so I will put more of the usual shenanigans in a separate video very soon!
Oh! I do not have a Telegram account or any bullshit contest going! Do not respond to any of these "contest winner" replies; they are a scam!
Thanks to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments!

Thanks Scott, looking forward to the new T Shirt!
Edit; I've really enjoyed the journey, the Fury is beautiful. She looks bad ass at night with her lights on, traveling at speed, as meant to. Cheers man!
Edit 2; -not that there's anything wrong with just getting stoned and drinking beer, I've heard...
Edit 3; when you, and the Fury are ready, a couple clips of hearing and seeing her under full throttle would be the "money shot" after these years!
Dude, that car is a ~4yr miracle!!!!
Final edit; just ordered my Fury T shirt, thanks man!

This is a car that classic car culture is going to be talking about for a very long time. It sets the high water mark for what a skilled person with a modestly-equipped shop can achieve, and the video series also sets the high water mark for detailing just how gigantic a commitment such a project truly is. You've set an example for everyone with this car.

The build of the Fury has got to be one of the most satisfying resurrections I've ever seen. I don't think any "regular" person could understand the amount of patience, perseverance, and physical effort it takes to build a vehicle like this. You literally could not have picked a more difficult platform to start on with this car. From the sheer size of it, to the obscurity of the parts, to the miles of stainless trim.....this car could have only been saved by a master craftsman with an absolute obsession to bring it back to life. All I can say is I'm happy for the car, and most of all I'm happy for you, Scott. After moving that mountain you deserve every second of enjoyment you get cruising in that fabulous Fury. Thanks for letting us see it all come together.

The Plymouth music is very good; a real success. The Plymouth is such a pleasure. I know your satisfaction. In 2016 I finished my Stanley Steam Car, a project begun by my father in 1969. He passed in 1996 and one of the last things he did as he lay dying was give my mother some parts in his pocket, saying, "give these to Michael. It's his problem now." From 1996 until 2012 the project sat until I retired. I then started crashing on the car with the final sprint being a six-month daily effort. In the end I showed it, got the appropriate trophies from the AACA and now I drive it on tours. So I know your joy and I share it.

The '60 Fury did not disappoint Scott, Bravo! That restoration brought her back to the vintage year of manufacture. The steering wheel is perfect with the cracks reminding everyone there is over 60 years on it. The last little trim bits needed for the interior you will no doubt have done for the first auto show you are no doubt considering winning an award at next year. I was a Bill Bixby fan since "My Favorite Martian", the characters he played seemed to capture my interest as I grew up, a part of my childhood passed along with him in the early '90s when cancer took him far too young at only 59.

As I think about the journey I don't think there are many other people who could have pulled it off quite like you did. The most beautiful Plymouth ever built! Styled like a Cadillac on a Plymouth budget by Virgil M. Exner Sr. himself. I love it! I owned one, in Arctic White with a two-tone blue interior, in 1969. Mine had the 383 with a 4-barrel, Torqueflite, PS/PB, dual exhaust, radio & heater, and it flew down the highway like a dream! My all time dream car! If I could afford one now, I would buy one!

When I see stuff like this I always wonder why people actually want contemporary cars. I mean, apart from needing a car and this is probably not the most practical, but why can't we have cars that sorta look inspired instead of everything looking like it's been derived from the same 3 molds.
Exceptional job and the journey was amazing and looking forward to the next endeavour! People calling you guys hacks can go choke on some mud. This is what I wanted a reality show to be like, when all that drivel was on Discovery back in the 2000's. Proficiat!

Scott, Congrats on the final inspection pass and getting the Fabulous Fury plated and for taking us on your personal journey with this project. Walter P. and Virgil Exner would be so proud of the great restoration that you performed.
Thanks also to all of the CWM Agents who provided their help and support and for the mailbag contributing viewers who provided any donated parts to the effort.
Extended Thanks to your family, Myles, and Laura, and your other brother who's name escapes me at the moment for lending their support.
Last but certainly not least, Thanks to Foreman Tom, and Mini Francers who made us laugh and helped cheer you on. Scott thanks also to all of the teaching moments and methods that you took all of us viewers on, showing us your talents and tricks with sheet metal work, stainless trim straightening, and polishing, and final molding placement.
I for one also have a new appreciation for all of those souls who have gone before us who worked on the Plymouth assembly line putting these cars together. In that time, auto assembly science was still evolving, and labor was the cheaper component mix that made cars like the Fury even possible. I am sure that many of those people were dedicated and prideful of the tasks they completed in the era of when the Fury was first born.
"A thing Of Beauty Is A Joy Forever" and your completion of this project and journey certainly proves that point.

I just had to add, This Fury is one of those ones you look at...You Inspect...You discover the bottom 6 inches of the car is net curtains and fly paper...And walk away shaking you head, mumbling if only it was on gravel...It could have been saved.
You did the unthinkable and pulled her out of the bog. Thats a huge commitment. Thats a huge talent. As a fellow tinbasher. Chapeau!!!
