Well this is more competition shooting. Definitely a good display of how well you can use a firearm, but when people say non-static training they generally mean force on force where the targets are not defined and you don't move down a shooting lane, but you react to the actors in order to train how you handle situations and when you use lethal force. You can learn from all kinds of shooting. Static training can teach you basic fundamentals, competition shooting helps you get used to incorporating movement and target transition as well as exercise and mental stress of the timer. Force on force puts it all together and binds the mindset and your knowledge of the legal system into one complete package.
If you live outside of town, have a couple of acres, it wouldn't be difficult. You could build a range the size of a football field (1.32 acres), for relatively cheap, though time consuming. Start by talking to local construction companies, and ask where they dump their dirt (sometimes they have to pay to dump it at X location), then tell them they can dump for free on your land, which they may take you up on. Rent a dozer, and start pushing dirt...as long as your berms are 10-12 feet high, you should be golden, unless you're a terrible shot. Think of all the fun you can have in a space that big.
Sounds dumb, but I used a glock 34 airsoft pistol to practice transitions and holster work when live fire was not available. Helped considerably during the colder months when everyone else is sitting on their couch watching TH-cam training videos.
@@norfolknwhey4787 I'm not sure why that sounds dumb. That is what professionals do. People that care about training and their wallets do just about whatever they can to satisfy both
MAYH3M0NE shooting good doesn't mean a whole lot especially once your fine motor skills go out the window during high stress situations. Anyone can run a repeat drill until done perfectly.
You are right about high stress and a combat situation. People do operate differently, but I do have to give credit to Lucas, he does run his guns and gear well.
MAYH3M0NE, you do know that performing under fire and being a professional range shooter are two totally different things right? No disrespect to the range pros here, but to you have an unlimited amounts of outcomes you have to overcone under fire, TRUST ME.
One of the things I noticed is that you truly shoot 2-3 feet back from the holes and the window & the other two men almost put the pistol through them. Much respect too you!
Seriously though, much love to your cameraman. I'm assuming he's running a gimbal with whatever camera you guys run for production but hell, he's got smooth drags and he has really good dynamic flow with his shots. Props and kudos to the editing crew for good shots and cuts too.
This was amazingly satisfying to watch and a great visual representation of where in a shooting evolution you transition from fast to slow, low or high. Great video.❤
Thank you for this video!! It’s been helping me put my son to sleep for months!!! He’s one year old now and loves guns and watching me shoot!! So he loves this video!!! I’m going to order a sidecar when I get back from restoring power in Puerto Rico!!! Love your stuff!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Lucas, now you are golden son!!!! Training videos show people that they can reach that level of speed and accuracy. If you would like to take it a step further, slow it down for the beginners and teach Sight Alignment/trigger control/Stance/Grip/Breathing, showing people that your are human and a real person can boost their confidence levels. Will you be offering any classes in the future?
Your mag changes impress me more than anything. You've got shots down range before your empty mag even hits the ground. lol. My reload "split" rarely gets under 2.0 secs. Probably my biggest weakness. I'm working on it, though... I've only been practicing with a shot timer for about 2 months, and I've already knocked a whole second off of my draw time. It just takes repetition. I wish I would have bought a shot timer DECADES AGO. It's made me want to train more, and it's just simply more fun now. I highly recommend you guys out there to get one, if you don't have one already. Shooting becomes a whole new world. Let's be honest.. Standing in one spot plinking just gets old.
That underbite is the last thing someone will have the honor of seeing after a failed carjacking or mugging - the last sound is a short high pitched beep if you were wondering.
Pretty new to shooting. Just started watching your videos and I am excited to try some of your training techniques. What are you doing with your pointer finger when you shoot the rifles? It looks like you're clearing the ejection port. I didn't see the others do it so you have me curious.
Andrew Dam I designed all of my targets to be "mobile" at my range, at home. So that way, me, and my buddies can meet up somewhere, and set up a run 'n' gun course almost every Sunday. We ALWAYS have a blast!!!! You can have a ton of fun with a dozen targets, and a shot timer.
Finally I have an example to show people when they ask me what's wrong with going to a static shooting range, they need to do stuff like this!
+Christopher Koontz :)
You're One of The Best Shooters On TH-cam. Bad Ass.
T.REX ARMS what setup do you use for the pistol holster to ride that low? Ragnarok, leg strap and what else? thanks
safariland UBL mid ride and leg strap. i use one with an rti wheel.

This shooting range is something I would like to have in my backyard.
no kidding.
Right? I can’t be the only one that thought of mortgaging the house
I just want to know where you get a piece of land like this.
We would be just as good as these guys if we had these perks.

For some reason I could watch this for hours. Oddly satisfying.
I second that. Seem like a pretty good drill
lol I was just going to type that.
Your pistol reloads are on a whole other level...
+Coyote Tactical Solutions thanks bro!
Yeah, it like the mags are lubed with butter. You don’t even hear a click of the mag hitting anything!
@@TREXARMS where can i learn to shoot like this?
Your reloads are no joke.
Kalvin Reagan his reload is slow. Only when played in slow motion.

Hahaha You ain’t lyin
So are those skinny jeans
Yeah he sucks

For real haha
Shills promoting shills.
@@domenik8339 how lol
Be careful with your reload on 0:36. A little faster and you could break the sound barrier. Holy sh*t man...
+Frederik Claeyssens hahaha. Thanks man
Frederik Claeyssens haha man i was thinking the same thing I've never seen a reload so smooth
Yeah he's got that mag in there before the empty one hits the ground.
A little faster and he'd have 2 mags in the gun hahaha
Looked like a freakin Robot.
I love how Lucas shoots better than %90 of these know-it-all TH-camrs that claim to be tier 1 operators.

All it take is some training to be an operator. This kid has part of the formula to succeed! Mindset, manipulation, and marksmanship! Good on you!!

Thumbs up to the cameraman

Lucas is maybe one of the best civilian shooters on TH-cam. That's a bad man on drills!! He runs so fluid it amazes me.
Jesus you have this miraculous way of making shooting so damn entertaining.
Your range is freakin awesome, and your shooting is pretty dang impressive. You earned yourself another sub!
The younger gentleman had his tool bags on. He was ready to go to work, lol. Nice job guys that was a fun video to watch.
Ha ha I just got it T-Rex Arms that's funny.

Whoever gave thumbs down really suck at shooting. Anyone who can shoot like this can appreciate how much practice this takes and how hard he works.
The reloads this guy does is so freaking smooth
Watching the smoothness of action at full speed is like getting an eye massage
I never seen anything like this, god level reload, very well sir, I am very happy to part of this channel.
Operators, operating! Good stuff. Keep posting videos! 🤙🏼
This song is so awesome. anyone know the name ? would love to jam to this on a run

Another pistol and rifle drills, its amazing..
Just subscribed based off of this one video. Unreal. Surprised I've been under a rock this whole time and haven't seen this stuff.
Love that block 1.5. Nobody runs em anymore cause they aren't popular in the industry. @t.rex arms keep doin it! Dedicate another vid to this

wow, i want to set up a range training like this with my buds now, Thanks for the inspiration!
