Hey Scott today is my birthday I am so excited for this video I really enjoy watching all your videos and hey I have a question do you think Eddie Hall could shoulder fire the 950 jdj?
My 3 year old daughter is newly learning of the world of firearms and sport shooting, she calls guns "pows". She absolutely loved this episode. Especially the first mag dump, watermelon time, and when there was "pea and poupon" everything. Cool gun, and fun video, thanks!
Not trying to be Mr.Obvious , but he didn't mention Brandon right? He said the guy didn't want his wife to know which would imply Matt i believe . That was the joke right. Or at least that's what I thought and laughed.😅😅😅 My point is the joke was very well done for something so simple.
@@dieselman86 Pack it up folks, we have a winner! Although, I would cut it off after "tucky", only adding "Ballistics" if you're in someone else's comment section 😊 Genuinely, though... As a SW fan, that was 😘👌
Now this i can get behind. I always wondered why there aren't odd builds like a rifles chambered in 357 or 44 mag. But this blew that idea out of the water. Super intriguing
@isedie yeah im aware, but i don't want a lever action, or else i would've said lever action rifle. I want an AR or SMG platform that has those calibers I want an ODD build.
There is a reason why Magnum Research put so much effort into making the Desert Eagle able to use .44 mag and .357 mag. Making a rimless version of a magnum cartridge for use in an autoloader is almost never commercially viable.
I'm slightly surprised that the original .500 S&W Magnum round couldn't be made to function in a rifle like this, considering how "slight" the rim is, being "barely there" enough to function in a revolver. Also, considering that there are semi-auto and full-auto firearms which use rimmed cartridges such as .303 British and 7.62x54 Russian. Perhaps it is something to do with how new this cartridge is (introduced in February 2003) and trademarks/patents, rather than the shape of its case?
scott, you're just a kid in a big guy's body who has guns. AND THAT'S WHY WE LOVE YOU! this is the channel where i get all the good laughs, because maturity is for party poopers! you're just mature enough to have guns and be trusted with them (and al the other stuff you gotta be mature for) but just immature enough to make it hilarious and fun
when the gun is gassed like that though it helps lower the recoil impulse and puts less wear on the moving parts. seems to me like they did a great job of getting it tuned just right.
I've had mine for many years now and love it. The rifle on display looks exactly like it but with a longer barrel. Unlike this display rifle, the Beowulf had no "growing pains". Mine has never jammed. Alexander Arms did a great manufacturing job. Their marketing was problematic since part of Alexander's scheme was to create a "propriety based weapon" where all ammunition had to come from them. They were the only provider of the "rebated" case. That lasted about a nono-second for Starline Brass to produce the case for .69 cents so most of us are "rolling our own" with great results.

In the firing of the second mag, the slow mo shot, you can see how it almost catches the ejected cartridge. That looks like a jam waiting to happen.
Ya, I saw multiple cartridges bouncing off the front of the ejection port and I'm quite sure that sooner or later, it's gonna catch one

Yeah, ejection seems a little weak. Might need more gas, or possibly a stronger ejector spring.
