Oh hot take: Dutch killing the old woman wasnt actually as evil or dumb as we tend to think. Looking at the location we were in reality only a few feet from guards (which they didnt even know but could guess) and an older lady screaming would definitely have alerted them. Considering their situation it would have been a death sentence. We also know she may be willing to considering Dutch just gave away the last of the gold (assuming he's being honest)
I felt the same. I always felt Arthur didn't quite realize the severity of the situation and took a weird moral high ground. If anything happened they'd be dead.
Watching this I realised Dutch leaving and then rescueing Javier was a beautiful manipulation. Javier was so happy Dutch came to free him he forgot he left him there in the first place. That's some Stockholm syndrome type of shit.
On my first run in the game, I finished the whole Guarma section in one go while drunk one night - then couldn't remember a thing about it afterward and had to read up on it...

If Lenny survived he would’ve been one of the ones who would’ve sided with Arthur after seeing what Dutch was becoming and would’ve eventually changed by no longer looking up to Dutch but instead just Arthur and would’ve followed Arthur’s lead while sticking with Arthur from that point forward until Arthur died, which would’ve led to him helping Arthur and Sadie rescue Abigail after their last train robbery mission as a gang but wouldn’t find out from Milton about Micah being the rat unfortunately because with Lenny’s help Sadie wouldn’t have gotten ambushed and also captured by Milton like Abigail was but would’ve instead killed Milton with Lenny’s help which would’ve led to Arthur never finding out and never heading back to camp to confront Dutch and Micah about it afterwards but would’ve sadly have led to John’s and Miss Grimshaw’s death still since her outcome would’ve been the same by trying to help John instead of Arthur but would’ve unfortunately failed still and without Arthur there John wouldn’t have lasted long after the Pinkertons arrived especially while being injured from being shot and would’ve soon died like Arthur already thought he was while never knowing that he could’ve prevented it if he had went back to Beaver Hollow and the rest is history…
@@dex337 Part of me feels like Lenny would be smart enough to ask if Molly was indeed the rat or see through Micah as soon as he starts trying to poison him against Arthur like Micah successfully did with Javier and Bill. I can see a scene where Arthur and Lenny has Milton's legs or arms shot out and the latter is demanding him to tell them if Molly was the rat. And he spells the beans. I do agree he would side with Arthur. Lenny being as smart as he was would have suspicions about the whole Molly thing imo. It just wouldn't make sense if he thought about it for a second, and since he likes to read, he would want to hear it from Milton's mouth. Lenny being young and relentless would take Arthur’s side but I think would ignore his pleas of leaving and would stay to help against Dutch and Micah despite Arthur’s wishes. Micah wouldn't have made it off that mountain. But I wonder what would the events of 1907, 1911, or 1914 would be. Would Lenny be on the Pinkertons' list to wipe out? If so I don't think John would kill him since he sided with Arthur and him and would probably frame it like he's dead. What about in 1914 when when Jack Marston is a fully grown adult? Would him and Lenny be like him and Arthur ironically were like years earlier?
@@RyanTheDark Very interesting and good scenarios which would’ve made sense for Lenny’s character had he survived and great questions which I wonder so too now that you’ve mentioned it, but who knows anything could’ve happened had Mr Summers survived and had RDR2 come first before RDR1 there are endless possibilities
What if Arthur had put a bullet into Dutch's head after hearing what the latter did in Blackwater, fed Strauss to the wolves near Colter and together with Hosea led the gang instead? 🙃😉 BTW, IMO the pivotal "point of no return" for Dutch was the failed trolley station heist in St. Denis, where he bashes his head during the crash (most likely a severe concussion). After that, he seems to have completely lost the ability to keep is inner demons (= sociopathic and narcissistic personality disorder) in check.
Everyone would've died to the law no matter how much harder they would've tried or how much better they would've played their cards. Hosea's plan would've given them a bit more time to live. Nothing more.

All the people we kill as Arthur and he has the gull to criticize Dutch for killing 2 people? Questioning the direction of the gang is one thing, but to be a hypocrite about killing doesn't really make sense
