I bet it was originally planned to start the game in New Austin, allowing you to roam freely in the west. Then do the real estate scam with Hosea while the black water heist went on and then you had to flee up the mountains.

Mac will be the protagonist. Uncle talks about him beating up 15 sailors. That sounds like a mission to me. Im just not sure how the epilogue will be because the blackwater massacre is gonna be the ending and arthur will be on the run in the mountains so maybe Mac does not die and the epilogue is Mac starting a new life somewhere else?

Doesn't surprise me. Rockstar is known for making entire temporary maps, like the one in GTA in the introduction, or San Andreas, or even the Mexico town that can be seen in Red dead 2, but you can't go there. Adding to this, Rockstar knew what they were doing with the online, they knew that they would abandon it, and they had no plans on adding anything more to it, just sell it for 20 bucks seperately and be done with it. This game was a masterpiece for its single player, but everything else is just lost potential, so much shit they could have done with this game.. so much...

But In the end if you do high honor you can't judge him based off his past as that is something you cant change and control anymore, so you cant say his past weigh him down as what matters is who he chooses to be and what he does now. and if you look at what a hero is then he is a hero but that all depends on what you call a hero

I never doubted Arthur. Ive always seen him as “good” because I cant stand to think of him any other way. I love him too much. Im wearing rose colored glasses and am not planning on taking them off any time soon. I realize that he’s not actually a great man, he’s still a murderer. He does try to do better at the end of his life to make himself better, but he cant just erase everything he’s done up to that point. I know all this and still, I cant think of him any other way than how I do now. It would hurt me too bad.

Why isn’t the boat spawninng

People saying its good blackwater massacre went cut because of mystery but anything not seen always seems good in story telling. Imagine whole snow mountain prologue is cut and we are just told story of it in pieces, how we found sadie adler and john in mountains. I think original plan was starting in new austin where arthur interacts where john will be in rdr1, we will see mysteries like chlorea plague. We would have also seen already dead character in prologue chapter. Even if we play before blackwater massacre, as arthur we still wouldnt know what happened. Since arthur and hosea were planning to scam but micah tried to convince dutch to rob bank and it failed. We would only see it from auther's point of view suddenly getting attacked by pinkertons out of no where. That would be more effective start for a mystery.

Honestly it would make sense to me that Micah isn’t actually a rat at all, just sloppy and makes poor decisions which leads to being easily tracked. The only thing that more or less keeps me thinking he was the rat is that in the end when Arthur calls him a rat when they’re alone, Micah doesn’t deny it but in turn says “I’m a survivor black lung! A survivor!” Given the context it could be Micah just confirming it, but I’m sure if you try hard enough you could argue it. Still pretty comfortable saying he was the rat though because of it.

Raaaaghhh this is literally giving me a physical ache on my body. Mexico so would’ve been incredible and be the first game to show two different cultures in a single platform. I wanted to see how the Mexicans would react I don’t care about the racism or xenophobia
