    Awesome! Hope to see more vids along the way with the progress. I just started on mine yesterday. Saturday I picked up a 96’ cr250r. It needs some TLC. So far stripped it down to just the engine and frame on a stand. Going to drop the susp off somewhere to go thru it. So far purchased a carb and fuel petcock rebuild kit, all the carb hoses, chain, sprockets, chain rollers, all new plastics, seat cover, radiator hoses, air filter etc Nothing I can’t handle. Just lots of small parts that add up in price since the list of things gets bigger as I inspect stuff 😂 Also gotta find some a decent white paint to touch up wear spots on the frame. Hope to get it ready and the goal is to start racing it at glen Helen once a month.

    Are you going to finishing this series? I just bought a ‘96 CR, it’s a roller for the most part, but he cylinder and head are good. I have a rebuilt ‘99 motor. I’m planning to marry the ‘99 bottom end and the ‘96 top end to make it have the same power characteristics as a ‘96. From the ‘96 I will also use the complete power valve assembly, carburetor, and CDI.

    Bike is amazing shape. I think that 96 was Jeremys favorite CR.

    Is the front rim bent?

    • @motoblast3574
      @motoblast3574  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ooohhhhhh yea it’s bent 😅 looks more like a curb smack type of bend rather than OJ a jump bend

      I have the same bend in my front rim I can confirm it was a curb.

    Makes a change to see a methodical and careful restoration, with good commentary to go with it. Instead of the hoards of spanner monkeys that are on YT teaching others the same unorthodox ways on how not to do the job. Also, it's interesting the difference between English, and North American English. Well done, deserves a thumbs up.
