Absolutely a beautiful from ground up restoration!! That bike looks like it rolled out of the dealership in 96. I’m old school I love the 95/96 CR myself . I had a 88 and 89 back in the day. Thank you for a awesome video!! Enjoy it!!!!
Great build thanks for Sharing , I am picking up a cheap 96 tomorrow for this years Winter build and enjoyed watching this. Enjoy that Bike !! #90srule LOL
Hey with the 2010 and up pegs for the Yamaha, is it specific models that have those pegs or across the whole big bike line? And do you need to use Yamaha pins/springs etc? Or can Honda pins and springs work? I’m building a 96 right now.
Thank you! That’s a great question. For me, it’s more of a 125 versus 250 type of decision. I’m so used to riding a 450, so the 250 2t is close to what I’m used to. The kx125 is so much slower that it throws me way off for almost the first 1/2 of the day. For that reason I stuck to tue cr250 because I feel comfortable right away.
When you did the fork swap did you use the 96 upper and lower triple clamps? I have a 92 I am wanting to do a fork swap on. Was just wondering if you were able to use all but the lower bearing?
I used the newer crf450 upper and lower clamps. I had to install the 1996 lower bearing onto the new crf clamp stem. The upper bearing was the same size.
I searched up the website you said you got your graphics from and I got the same bike needing the same stickers u got but adept creative co doesn’t seem to have it. I need help
Hey! Send a screenshot of my bike to them. I’m pretty sure they have my file saved. It won’t be on their website. Or you can message them on instagram. Send a photo of my bike from there. My instagram is @jbaldwin312. I can also send you to one of the owners instagram accounts. Hope that helps
You need some frame guards on there to keep the white powder coat looking fresh! Hard to find though. Will the 2010+ yamaha YZ pegs work for a 1997 CR125 maybe? When you put the crf450 forcks on there, you just used a 2006 triple clamp as well? I am in love with that set up dude. How long did that take you to finish? I am doing a 1997 cr125 resto right now. Looks bad ass!
That vapor blaster looks like it makes life so much easier. I may have to look into getting a similar setup. Is it safe to use on Powdercoating and similar coatings?
Nice bike, the black wheels just enhance the overall look to this already work of art.
Thank you so much!!

That is awesome! And thank you so much!!
Nice job 👏 I have a 96 that I'm going over right now
That’s awesome!
I swear the old school silsncers sound alot better than the new stuff
Your right!
I love these restoration videos so much. You do a great job
Thank you!! I really appreciate that. I’ll keep the restorations coming!
On the pj carb you have to set it where it doesn't idle on mixture screw so it's rich enough or it surges instead of hitting in midrange
AWESOME BUILD
Thank you!!

I haven't ever had the jug off my 96cr250. Bought new in 96 still starts first kick.
Awesome job 👏 beautiful bike. I still race a 93
Thank you so much! That’s awesome! 93 is a the best frame apparently
@motoblast have you seen the small Honda emblem that goes right above the tank on the frame 👌🏻… this bike needs one
You are right!!! Need it now hahaha
Awesome job. Do you have a preference between the CR versus the KX when it’s time to roll a bike out to ride?

Hey, beautiful restoration! Can you please share how did you tune your carburator ?
Thank you so much!

What kind of seat cover is that? Did really follow the rear brake is that modified mine doesn't like to stop
Seat cover is from throttle jockey
Where did you get the seat cover from? I only find this seat cover with white Honda letterings. 😢
I got it on throttlejockey.com you can select different color lettering
That's dope!!!!
Could you give me the specs of the front end you got? Year etc
Is the pipe for a 500cc. It wraps around alot like a 500 pipe
It’s not for 500
But yes it totally does look like it. I thought the same when I was actually going to buy the bike.
@motoblast3574 oh ok. Great job with it anyway. Looks awesome

Thank you! Yes those pegs fit and yes I have the crf triple clamps on. Only need to swap the lower bearing to fit them. Thanks again
Which pegs did you use ? Thanks ✌🏼
They are OEM Yamaha wr250 pegs from a 2016 I believe. They are actually titanium
@@motoblast3574 Thank you very much ✌🏼

The vapor blasting will not really strip off powdercoat, but it will ruin it.
@@motoblast3574 Thanks for the reply 👍🏻
What wheels did you order? I’ve been looking but can’t find anything that will work! Thank you
I ordered DID dirtstar rims. Stock hubs. Basically just count the spokes you have and any rim should lace up
Awesome thank you!
One more thing, where’d you get that seat cover?
That bike is beautiful man. Great job. How many hours you think it took to finish? I'm thinking of restoring an early 2000 model.
I’m not sure how many hours! You should restore it!
Let me know in the comments if I should do another Dirtbike restoration! thanks
hey boss did you vapour blast the radiators?, how did you smarten them up?
Yes, they are vapor blasted and they were already straightened
Omg soooooooooo nice
Thank you so much!
