    If you're familiar with very recent Toyota models, you'll be able to use the 2019 RAV4 easily. One thing I do like is the positioning of the infotainment display at close to eye level. Toyota has said they will integrate Android Auto support into Entune fairly soon. Toyota may offer a software upgrade that will add Android Auto support probably within the next 4-5 months.
    One final thought though: because the RAV4 is built on the TNGA-K platform, it could be adaptable for full electrification in a few years' time. A full-electric version of the new RAV4 could become reality as early as 2021.

    I really like this NEW RAV 4 Look! I only wish Toyota would bargain a little on the retail sticker. Knowing I can get $5000 off a 2019 Santa Fe’ or Any American product makes me feel like I am paying to much for the Toyota. Yes it will hold it’s value better but you pay for that up front and it holds it value better for RETAIL sales.

LOL, on Android auto-Google is an evil company that shouldn’t be allowed to steal all the data from their uninformed users. I applaud Toyota for at least trying to get them to stop taking location data and giving it’s sheep like users no choice in wether they share location data or not!

    @winomaster 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Next time they completely redo this SUV, it will be a full electric car. People are going to need to begin to think about how early they want to be joining the EV revolution. There are not many on the market yet. But, expect there to be a flood of them coming in the next five years, after a slow rollout over the next two years.
    Progress in the batteries is still very fluid. So, the miracle batteries are still just a bit away. My strategy is going to be to try to delay any EV purchase until the graphine batteries are out and well priced. Projections are that they will begin trickeling out in 2024.
    The danger is that as soon as the market begins to move toward EV's in a big way, gas fueled cars are going to depreciate in a big way. So, maybe you want to arrive at 2024 with not too new of a vehicle. Less value to obsolete.
    If you buy a car this year, you can get the modern safety electronic package and not buy another car until we are well into the transition to EV 's. The batteries still have some development to go. EV's are only going to get better and better. There is little advantage to being in the early wave of these cars.

    For real 4x4'ing need that direct link to the rear wheel. E.g, was caught out in a snowstorm with summer tires in my 2008 Rav4. I had enough for slow take-offs with 4 wheel drive, but no traction for turning or stopping. The solution, was to lock it into 4x4 mode and the instant rear-wheel response allowed for steering the car via gas peddle. So instead of plowing into oncoming traffic (when doing a right turn), just tap the gas and spin the rear end over... Try that with an electric motor in the back to drive the rear wheel LOL.

    Is it better looking than last years? It's hard to say. They are both real eyesore with Asian styling. Toyota designs, in most cases, for it's home market. It's the elephant in the room with most reviewers, that most Toyota veichles are plain ugly to Western eyes. You have to value reliability above looks and function to want to buy a Toyota. But, if Toyota was to also style their cars well, they would likely put a few more companies out of business. That would bring down trade pressures on them, so Toyota doesn't compete full out.
