  • Finally Cleaning up my Headlights with K2 Headlight Restoration. A simple but very effective method to remove any blemishes or fading from headlights. This worked amazingly so here's the link to the product I used below:

    I've often used a cheap tube of toothpaste and glass cleaner and they end up looking perfect!

      Works perfectly, I honestly wish I'd tried this sooner, definitely going to be using it in the future!

    Nice work mate. I've similar products I use once a year. I think the others that you have with need a small DA polisher🤔✌️💜😊👍

      Cheers mate. It looks like I will need to break out the DA for the other swift lol and some sticky stuff remover for them eyelets it has on 😂😃

      @@wallsworkshop I prefer them without additions to lamps, that or modern LEDs in OEM type lamps✌️👍😊

      @@musoseven8218 Personally me too, the 31S is my mates car it's just stored outside our garages. With some LED style bulbs in the 31S it would really bring it to have a more modern look😃👍

    Lovely stuff mate, it's nice to have a product review with visible results. I'll give this a go as mine are starting to yellow/go opaque. The main culprit is apparently UV light, so if it's mostly on one side, then maybe you've been parking your car in the same direction for some time.

      Nice one mate, definitely recommended. That's exactly what's done it I think, I park my car on the drive facing my house, leaving the drivers side more exposed to the side of the house where the sun hits most of the day. Have done for almost 5 years now.

      @@wallsworkshop I just wanted to add to the knowledge and say, that in many of the videos I've now watched about headlight restoration, there seems to be a belief that it doesn't matter the method used to restore, but the problem will just return, without the application of a top coat to provide UV protection (e.g. the Meguiars 2 step kit).

      @@fluxington I have looked further into it myself and saw the same thing. Next time I do this I'll develop it and add a layer of PPF to the lenses. Mine still look fine up to now.

    Curious to see how it turns out down the line, last time I tried one of these kits it went back to being hazy after a couple of months. Think the only way to properly restore them is with a coat or two of clearcoat for UV protection.

      @wallsworkshop  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Me too. Even if I have to keep on top of it every couple of months I'm not too fussed as it's a quick and easy job. Most likely yes that's the best way to stop the UV getting to them.

    Hi mate, love the videos, quite a random question but how did you colour in your Suzuki badges ??

    • @wallsworkshop
      @wallsworkshop  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi mate, nice one! I just painted them myself. Took the back one off, stripped all the chrome off primed and painted. Same with the front badge, I masked off the rest of the front end to paint.

    Hi man, i don't understand what was start condition of headlamp..it seems that them are in good conditions....
    Mine's are yellow and full of scratches,i don't know if this "toothpaste" will be good...😅
    I had tried a meguiars restore product but it doesnt work..

      Hi mate, at 4:08 you can see my side by side picture of before and during, the picture on the left you can see across the top of the light that it is faded and yellow, I'm removing just a little bit of yellow because that's all there was to remove. This product works just fine and has clear results. If Maguire's did not work on your lights then yours must be much worse. I'd say yours will need a very light sanding with 1200 sandpaper if they are fully yellow and then polish after sanding,

    whats the strut brace do in the swift as its not attached to the suspension or anything? (not a car expert, genuine question)

    • @wallsworkshop
      @wallsworkshop  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It just tightens up the front end a bit and stops front end roll. There's a noticeable difference with and without one.
