    This is hard work!
I put my car polisher over my 2003 Vauxhall Astra headlights using light pressure and small amounts of T-Cut. 5 -10 minutes for each. Three years between polishes, second time, only light polish needed. Job Done!

Been there, doesn't last at all without UV coating.
For mild cases, suggest single step easy and quick product and do it as frequently as necessary. Not perfect, but results are surprisingly good.

Big difference... After spending that much time, might as well put some clear coat on it to give it protection. Maybe not on this headlight that is pretty much trash, but this way can buy you time till you can save some $$$ and buy a set of new headlights. Great job! Thanks.

This is a good way to have clear headlights for about a month. They will just oxidize again without a sealer on top.

This was a lot more work and cost than needed. Plus as others have said, they will fog right back over... **UNLESS** you use something like Meguiar's Headlight Coating. I've used it, it works pretty good and looks great. It does need to be reapplied about once a year to keep them perfectly clear. But for reapplication its just a simple cleaning using something like glass window cleaner _(or whatever the bottle recommends)_ , then respray the coating. It comes in a spray can.

I've been using Meguiar's marine products for decades and have always had great results. Agree also this has got to be the most laborious, time consuming and expensive way I've ever heard for cleaning headlights. I use a metal polish called 'Peek' and a couple good rags and get excellent results in an ACTUAL five minutes.

I blame the auto industry for puttin us thru this crap. Nothing will beat the old school GLASS headlites. Unfortuntly this plastic crap is here to stay. Even if hou buy NEW lights, it's only a matter of time before they cloud up too and you're looking at three - four bills to replace those.

Today, anyone who truly recognizes himself as a sinner and under God's condemnation, and comes to Jesus with all his heart for salvation, trusting fully in Christ, will receive forgiveness of his sins and be born again as a son. of God. This person will have the privilege of follow Jesus as Lord of his life. This person will know the loving care of Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd. Dear reader, Christ has opened the door for you to come to God. He has paid the penalty for sin. He is the Paschal Lamb. Today, He commands you: Repent, and believe in the Gospel. In other words, acknowledge your sin before God, acknowledge your status as a man or woman separate from God, and stop trusting yourself or anything else. Trust completely in Jesus Christ for your salvation. Cling to Christ as Savior and as Lord. Come to Him, the Good Shepherd. God commands you to repent and believe. Don't worry about how things might turn out. Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd. Hold on to Him, and He will take care of you. His care for those who truly come to Him is perfect, tender, and total care. Come to the Good Shepherd of souls! Come to Jesus Christ.

Just get a cheap headlight restore kit. Do exactly as instructions say. After complete. Wait 24hrs. Then hit your headlights with headlight COATING. DO NOT USE CLEAR COAT PAINT. That is the dumbest method out there. Alllllll clear coats will slowly yellow up within the year time. Headlight coating seals it for one to 3 years. Sometimes longer, if you keep your ride out of the sun. Even better if you have a garage. Remember folks, coating and painting are two entirely different nature's... ✌️

    1) Thats the normal method, nothing "amazing" about it.
    2) to do it right it takes a lot more than 5 minutes.
    3) your headlight is still full of scratches. This will distort your light.
Spend more time with the 1500, 2000 and do a 2 level polish. Also go easy on the 320. When I sand with the 1500 and higher, I run water over it constantly. If it's out like this one, put it in a deep sink and sand it with the faucet running slowly
Lastly, put a sealer on it.

Great job ....but most headlight cleaners like turtle wax uses the same steps. and if you have halogen burn , that on the inside, time for new.

Or you can sand them with 400 grit sandpaper then 1000 and clear coat them and theyll look way better for way longer

  • @born2wrench

You never want to sand old plastic into new plastic . just take a box cutter razor blade first and scrape the old plastic off .pull the razor don't push the razor blade and all the sun rotten plastic will come off .Then sand and polish

the two minute method... spritzer of clean water, toothpaste, and a clean soft cloth. Spritz the headlight liberally with water wrap the soft cloth around your fingers dab the end with some toothpaste and polish. Add a spritz to keep it moist while working it. rinse with water and buff to a clear shine.
