- These headlights were pretty yellow. They have some haze from the inside, most likely they are not sealed properly. After sanding and polishing they came out nice. You can learn how I did them in the video.
You can just use a headlight restoration kit if you don't want to buy everything separately

Super job and video...Just think that a UV Laquer should have been applied to seal and protect rather than the wax
Just do what they did and then mask and paper off the front and spray Dupli-Color Perfect Match 8 Ounce Clear Spray Paint and no wax or anything needed.
#1000, #2000 and then finish with #3000 grit wet sanded and apply cerakote........lasted 3 years so far.

I re-apply wax to mine monthly and no haze in over a year!

I have refurbished many lights this way and I can say that some of them lasted longer without maintenance than new ones with the original UV varnish. If you briefly re-polish the lights with car paint paste once every 6 months they will last for many years.

nice result. I used meguir's plastic x, just polished it without sanding(im too lazy). I'm satisfied with the result but the oxidation will reappear after a few months. so how long does the wax protect your headlights?

Beautiful results, but which part of this more than 25 minute procedure fits your title? What is equally important, as mentioned by another viewer, is without some UV protection coating the light will haze again quickly.
Apply a good paste wax monthly. Over a year with mine and no haze.
I was ignorant that paste wax could act as a UV inhibitor. That's good to know. However, for me at least, having to do that monthly would get forgotten fast. I believe there are wipe on or spray coatings available (ie Meguirs, and others) that can be applied on a yearly basis.
The title is about showing the whole process in 4 minutes. Yes, coating is a must if you want the headlight to last longer. However nothing is permanent. Thanks for your comment

Yes, it’s recommended to protect them, so they last longer. Use ppf or headlight coating for best results.
Where can you buy all the fine grit sandpaper. 1000,1200,1500,2000,2500???

How long is every grit step? and what if i dont have a polishing machine?
It takes 3 to 5 minutes. You can polish the headlights with microfibre cloth by hand if u don’t have a machine.

What if the problem is the inner part?
Then you will have to open the headlight and clean it from inside. Seen a video where a dude cleans the inside with a microfibre towel and 2 magnets. Havent tried that yet tho
Took me 5 minutes with some oven cleaner paste (vim) then hosed it off.

Why do that. All you need is mothers wheel polish. Same results.
Just did mine today with mothers and it came out amazing!
Aluminium polish won’t work for these headlights, u need to sand the rotten 2k clear on top.. otherwise you will have a line and difference between the 2k and the non coated part of the headlight

Smaller steps requires less sanding. 1.5x grit size steps is optimal I think.
Most of us think the job is 4 minute due to title.
Way too much prep & restore.
Just go with the toothpaste for a 6-12 month job. Tape if your messy.

By using small increases of grit size, you don’t need to sand a lot.
I find it’s much less work to use small increments because large increments requires a lot more sanding. The sanding should take much more than 10 minutes.

Then cw circular with 300 grit, then ccw circular with 600 grit, then ovally with 1200 grit, then opposte ovally with 1500 grit, then triangular with 500 grit, then . . . BS.
