Ingredients: 6 eggs (I used medium) 300ml full fat milk 260g plain or all purpose flour goose/duck or beef dripping preferably (I used lard) Preheat Airfryer 180c (oven: 180c/350f/gas mark 4) Place milk and eggs into a large mixing bowl and whisk together. Sift the flour and mix with a hand blender until you've got a smooth batter. Leave to stand for at least 10 minutes - I left it for 30mins In containers (I used b&m pudding basins) pop goose or duck fat or beef dripping (or vegetable oil) Pop containers into the airfryer and preheat for 10 mins until oil very hot. Season just before pouring into containers (if seasoned too early, the salt can affect the rise) fill up the moulds to 2/3s full. on AIRFRY setting ( I used BAKE which I felt was too gentle) 180c/350f 30mins approx, you may need to flip and cook the bottoms for further 5 mins
Real cooking at home is your uniqueness , I've watched loads of staged cooking videos for yorkies but its not the same as cooking in your own kitchen. I will try this thanks to you !
Hi There Dear Kerry , To make Yorkshire Pudding fluffy This is my secret To make lighter and crispy Yorkshire puddings just add a little water to the Batter love them with a Roast dinner if we have any left over eat them has a sweet dessert with golden syrup Xxx❤
Hi Kerry look fantastic, you really need to try using beef dripping I get mine from the butcher it comes in solid form in a tub ,use it same as lard, I also use it to Cook my roasties and homemade chips . Where I come from ( Wolverhampton) the chippies used to cook in beef dripping, no taste like it, not good all the time though lol x
Hi Kerry... well these look well yummy. I'll be making these on Sunday if i survive my flu/covid jab tomorrow !!... first time cooking yorkshires in my Ninja.
I use my air fryer oven similar to yours but a Tower and my recipe for yorkies is 1 ramekin of plain flour, 1 ramekin of semi skimmed milk and 1 ramekin of eggs, I put on 200 for about 20 mins. This is from a yorkshire chef and as I’m a Yorkshire woman I tried it and never looked back they’re whoppers x
I think I would try putting them back in the air fryer upside down to finish cooking, WITHOUT the cups. Thanks for this video, definitely going to try them.
Oh my goodness how good do those pudding look,I love a Carvery and nothing nicer than a couple of yorkies filled with gravy, anotherr great video Kerry Xx
Yeah the oven recipe I always heard good things about was using leftover fat or whatever from usually pork or turkey because it would be a sunday roast or for Christmas dinner but never tried it with duck or goose but even though it says it ideal it seems unlikely for your normal roast. I agree because I've heard it myself which was when they're in the oven to rise, don't open it. Definitely going to try it in air fryer and play around with the recipe to get them just right. Thanks for this
Hoping to follow this and it be a game changer . Im confident with breads and pastries but my yorlies have always been awful and i think getting that oil hot enough and cooking them long enough to really crisp up is the key. Ill let you know how i get on
Had so many years of making them now, I make the batter by eye, but in the past I used to use a small mug and use that as a measure ie the same volume of every ingredient. I usually make the batter first thing and keep it in the fridge, plus it's important not to over mix it or it can build up the gluten and they can get tough. These look perfect!
They look nom nom nom . I need to try . Tysm for sharing. ✨✨ James Martin recipe I have uses 8 medium eggs and he uses beef dripping 😭 they were nice just tasted to eggy for my liking..
What are you doing to us Kerry😀 I'm salivating for roast beef now😋 They looked and sounded so delicious 😋 and with your gravy. If you ever need a stand in for the taste test, look no further😊 I hate to think of you putting yourself through all that😏😜😂 Have a great weekend my lovely 👋Jen 💕😘xx
They looked perfect for me. A couple with gravy, and then a couple drizzled in golden syrup. I personally like a doughy centre, so chuck em this way Kerry! 🤪😍🙃
I use James Martins recipe. I use 1/3 of the quantities as I live on my own. The only problem is that they grow so large I have to remove a shelf to accommodate them. Air fryer cooking is impossible! I’ll give yours a whirl.
Morning Kerry. I always make my own yorkies and leave the mixture in the fridge for as long as possible and air fry them, and they turn out fantastic. I am going to make a bigger one and use it for a yorkie wrap 😋😋😋. Hope you have a lovely weekend xxxx Jacs 💚❤️
i addes to many eggs once kez but to be honest i wasnt keen , they rose perfectly but were very doughey, i like to put a teaspoon of colmans mustard powder in mine
Never seen anything like it kerry my ex use to do good ones in that oven appliance we never use now they were good but honestly they are absolutely rocking 😅😂❤
I would cook the sausages first, at least lightly brown them to get started, then add the batter for last 10/15 minutes or however long it takes - so they continue cooking along with the batter😀👍👍
@@budgetcookinguk Kerry, thank you. I blundered. Didn't take notice of seasoning last thing. Put salt in early on mixing. It turned out a bit flat, buy hey, it's a learning curve! I'll try again.
Put in fridge all day is another Delia tip !!!! And she used melted butter as well ...i can't recall exactly but its in her book...definite go to for me..
I’m terrible at making yorkies definitely gonna try this method. That looked amazing. I bet you could give Toby Carvery a run for their money with those bad boys. ❤
Hiya, Everybody has their own particular takes on pudding mix. For instance I put mixed herbs sage and onion in mine but that call for a bit more variation and experimentation. So with the ultimate respect try and get the puddings the same shape of your tin and fill the middle of the yorkie with the gravy. Traditionaly a bigger Yorkie would have had the dinner inside it. Methinks you are overfilling the tins. Perhaps about a third or just cover the bottom. However as I said , each to their own. Keep Cooking.
They are so big because they are in deep tins not because of the batter. I'm sure a four egg mix would come out just as big because of the extra batter in those tins.lots of people like a slightly eggy centre to their yorkshires, they aren't meant to be crispy shells so I think your yours were just fine.My hubby is more keen on using an airfryer than me so I think he'll be giving it a go.
Ingredients:
6 eggs (I used medium)
300ml full fat milk
260g plain or all purpose flour

Equal weight eggs, flour and milk. Never fails.
Or equal liquid measurement to flour xxxx

Oh thank you Rich👋😀I really appreciate that, means a lot
This is proper and will twitch the like button from South Yorkshire folk only as the other's are still struggling with internet connectivity
Certainly does 👍🏻😊
Thank you Mike!👋😀💕

Dead on. Equal weights of ingredients. Learn that from Jamie Oliver and they rise like nothing on earth.
Those look delicious, I could almost taste them when you took a bit. lol Great crispy crunch.
I wanted crunch Judith!😄👍💕 The cosori ones needed more time in the oven I think, as were not so crunchy as the ninja ones. Blooming delicious thou😋😋😋

Hi Kerry you can get goose fat at Tesco all year round as I use it for my roast potatoes.
Ah great to know Paulette thank you, when I'm passing tesco I'll run in for it😀👍💕
Never seen anything like it kerry my ex use to do good ones in that oven appliance we never use now they were good but honestly they are absolutely rocking 😅😂❤
Delightful! Thank you
So, ifyou were to try a Toad in the hole, would you cook the sausages first or just put uncooked in the batter mix?
I would cook the sausages first, at least lightly brown them to get started, then add the batter for last 10/15 minutes or however long it takes - so they continue cooking along with the batter😀👍👍

I've never tried that! What a yummy idea thank you😋😋
@@budgetcookingukoh yes ! They are like profiteroles! I add cream also.
You were making my mouth water eating them especially with that lovely thick gravy mmmmm..

Wonder if you freeze them, then either reheat from frozen ir defrost and re heat?
Oh Heather! That's a good question, I'll make some tomorrow, freeze and then reheat for sundays roast - will get back to you on that one😀👍💕💕
Heather cook from frozen for about 4 minutes on air fry 180.
I always do a big batch and freeze them
That's good to know as it is only me and my son now and it's great to make batch to freeze and know they are ther when you want them
There’s only two of us so as I always have extra it makes sense plus if I have eggs to use up I do a batch
James Mackenzie is the chef, season right at the end, as it can affect the rise. xx😊
Ahhh fab! Thank you Sylvia😀👍💕
Is that the case for everything in life !!!!😅
