Top tip for your next meal - latkes - a delicious grated potato/onion & four and egg. Season well and cook till golden brown. These are amazing with ham and eggs! Love the video Clara 😃😃😍😍😎😎
At the moment I am watching TH-cam videos like yours to see what I can find out about air fryers at the moment. I'm considering getting one so thanks for your output. It has certainly been useful. In this video you say you couldn't do a pudding because you've run out of icing sugar. This may help you if you have got normal sugar and you want ice and sugar just blended. It's a trick. I learned some years ago from someone else, it's also cheaper to buy normal sugar and blended to make ice and sugar. Keep the good work up
Hi Clara, just found you and really enjoyed your week of air frying. Just got flexdrawer ninja and really enjoying exploring what works. Thanks for the recipes and info. I did pizza last night with a margarita base and plonked on cooked sausage, pepper, small chunks of mozzarella and onion. Pre warmed at 185 on air fryer. (The pizza fitted in cut in half) They took 6 mins and had slight crisp on bottom. Husband said best pizza I've ever cooked as I normally overcook them!! Will try poached eggs today as over cooked them when first tried them. Yet to use the roast button🤔. 🥰
What an extremely comprehensive and well presented video! I've had an air fryer for a few years, but you've given me so many tips for dishes I'll be having a go at. Particularly like the bagel idea and bread and butter pudding made with fruit bread - genius!. Thanks again - subbed!
Hi Clara. Found your videos and really enjoy them…keep referring back to your recipes. Bought the Cosori (on your recommendation) and love it, use it every day. It’s transformed my cooking. What setting did you bake the chocolate & pear pudding please? I’m also a little confused on the choice of settings, when do you choose air fry, bake or roast? It’s a little confusing but i’m muddling through and experimenting and getting some great results. Would love to see some more of your recipes. Thanks Clara.
I do the chocolate pear pudding in bake, it does take a bit of time to get used to the settings, air fry has the fastest fan speed and is good for things like crisping up baking potatoes or fries
I believe that is more to do with the age of the eggs than anything, I tested quite a few, but none were fresh and they peeled ok. 7-10 days old is the recommended age for ease of peeling
Hi Clara, Thanks for all the tips on using air fryers etc. I'm a lover of ginger cake (yummy) and i've seen the recipe you've linked which i am going to try out. I will be using the Ninja Combi. What setting and temp, time etc do you think would produce the best result?
I will be trying the bread and butter pudding for sure, I'm on a serious diet at the moment so I'll tweak the recipe to low calorie low carb treat. That's a great way for me to use up some surplas cornflakes I have. At last I have found another fan of evaporated milk. There's some great recipes you have opened my eyes up to. I totally agree about the temperature probe. Great video. Far better than all those tv chefs that cook unrealistic meals.
Greetings Clara 🙋🏻♀️ I just stumbled upon your videos & now I am a subscriber. I have a question for you… what type of eggs did you use for your breakfast? The yolk looked amazing! Thank You
Oh my God those eggs are amazing! They are Clarence Court Burford Browns's known in our house as the "eating eggs" not to be casually thrown in to dishes, but to be savoured! www.clarencecourt.co.uk/our-eggs/egg-range/
Absolutely love this channel and I just subscribed. I'm a recent air fryer owner and am working my way through the possibilities. Mine doesn't have the trays, I have a Aptliton Air Fryer Oven 18L, Large Capacity, Touch Screen Oven with Rotisserie, Large Capacity Air Fryer, Visual Window, Smart Finish, Dishwasher Safe, Rapid Air Circulation, BPA-Free Accessories which is great, but I have to adapt recipes. If you have any tips I would really appreciate learning about it! Much appreciation x

Yes absolutely, some air fryer instructions say “don’t use tin foil” but this is because when used as a covering it can blow up into the fan. I use tin foil containers all the time

I have stumbled upon your channel and so pleased to find a British presenter with a style that doesn’t immediately irritate! I have 2 Ninja air fryers that I have been using for some time now but I need to buy a third one to use at our holiday caravan. I notice you are using a Cosori in this video - is that your preferred air fryer? More than the Ninjas you’ve used in other videos?
@@CandidClarawhen I reread my comment I realised it didn’t exactly convert what I intended!! Suffice to say I love the channel and your presenting style!
Hi Clara, really enjoy your videos, nice work. We just got our first Ninja, an AF400, jacket potatoes are the first test... quick question after you microwaved yours what airfryer settings and for how long did you finish them on. Cheers
I also have the AF400 (I know!! 😆) so I know it well, we use roast for baked potatoes, but arguably you could do longer in the microwave and use air fry for a quicker way to crisp up, it just suits me to not have to worry about them crisping up too quickly!
@@CandidClaraMay I ask, do you think an Air Fryer could replace a Microwave generally and could you bake the jacket potatoes without the micro but I guess they’d just take longer? Thanks!
@@CandidClara Sure I can, to be honest I avoid PTFE and PFOAs in my cookware and it looks like both Ninaj and Cosori use PTFE...so need to look at maybe Breville or something else
Hi Clara - some great ideas here thanks! Yet to make a final decision on my first ever AF and seriously considering the Cosori Dual (or Ninja Dual or Flex) that you have been using here. Quick question, how have the glass fronts of the Cosori baskets stood up to all that cooking? Are they marked at all from all that heat/cooking - which is my concern, or are they staying clear and unmarked? Obviously a good old soak and wash is essential after each use but how they faring up?
Due to the drawer’s design it isn’t possible to clean the outside of the glass without taking the drawer apart (there are actually two layers to the window, the inside is a glass panel, the outside is plastic) however it is easy to keep the inside of the glass clean and so far the outside hasn’t been a problem, as I mentioned you aren’t really getting a particularly clear view of the contents anyway
I don't see the final bread and butter pudding recipe, the one where you used raisin bread and had tweaked the recipe. Did I miss it on here? Would love to try it. Also, I noticed that everyone seems to use metal pans or silicon containers. Or paper liners of course. Are glass dishes OK that are ovenproof?
Yes anything that is oven-proof is good and that includes glass. As regards the recipe, I'm so sorry I can't recall exactly what I did now other than using Warburtons fruit loaf!
I'm VERY careful about NON STICK and just bought the GREENPAN Air Fryer (non toxic). I followed your link for the MasterClass Springform Cake Pan and have found it uses Quantum II coating which is supposed to be 100 per cent PTFE, PFOA and BPA-free - GOOD! But I can't seem to find any documentation to back that up. Please Clara - Do you have any links to share across the Pond? THANK YOU!
It depends on what you are roasting and in which dual drawer, but you might find this video helpful where I compare the Ninja AF300 with the AF400 and roast a chicken in each th-cam.com/video/425oE09Y7FM/w-d-xo.html
Seeing you are in the UK, which oil squirter would you recommend? I am not keen on squiring oil in general, but if a good quality and low maintenance squirter one is available, I'll give it another go.
@@CandidClara Thank you. I saw that one on Amazon before trying TH-cam for recommendations. An issue with that one is that a funnel is needed to fill it up, hence each time it's filled up, the funnel needs to be washed, and that's one more complication. But if there is nothing better, I'll end up getting that one, I suppose.
I notice you use olive oil but I did see info from ninja to avoid certain oils which included olive oil, vegetable oil was preferred. Presume that’s to do with smoking point.
I’ve tried the poached eggs but mine didn’t turn out like yours. I followed the recipe linked but to get them to cook had to do them for ten minutes by which time they were hard boiled! You said in the video you put them on the bake option. I don’t have that option on my older Cosori air fryer. Is that significant?
No, the setting wouldn’t matter. Did you add a tablespoon of water? It can sometimes look like the egg isn’t cooked because of the water in the pot but they are. 10 minutes is way too long
Good evening. I'm looking to buy an air fryer. I was looking at the Flex drawer Ninja, but after waking your video, I'm not that keen on the heat heat bleed. So I'm looking at Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer AF400UK and Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer with Smart Cook System AF451UK I'm trying to see what the difference is between the two. Any help would be nice. Many thanks, Matthew
It’s literally just the heat probe that’s the difference between those two models. If you plan to cook a lot of cuts of meat in it go for the 451, but otherwise go for the 400. I see a lot of people saying that they don’t really use the probe. I hope that helps!
I am impressed with your video. I am saving it. I like so many recipes. Purchased the Dreo. Mainly for meat, particularly cooking a whole chicken and steaks . Have to clean my water distiller and then will get started. Would u kindly cook as big a size chicken as possible please. I can purchase a chicken, just under 2kg for £4.99. Thank you. Note, I will subscribe. 😁👏👏👏👌⚘
Hi Anna, thanks for subscribing! Which air fryer do you have? I recently cooked a 2kg chicken in the dual blaze, but obviously different air fryers can fit different chickens!
Gosh that is an interesting looking air fryer! I would imagine it might be a push to get a 2kg (or just under) chicken in that, but I shall look into more detail at the range now
I love the realness of starting off with puddings. My 7 year old can't wait to bake in our new air fryer oven so this was really helpful.

Eggs cook perfectly well in the shell, in an air fryer. It's shelling them that can be a bit of fun under the tap.
