The word success/successful should be removed from our vocabulary and replaced by words like accomplish/accomplishment. Sometimes when we accomplish something, somebody might say "sure, but you still aren't a success." A rich man can live his entire life and say "I accomplished nothing" but society will look at him as being successful. Success is a word which we should speak only to ourselves when we are in our final season.
That right there is why we love Ren so dearly. He isn’t just a brilliant artist, but a beautiful human being who genuinely just wants to help others and inspire positive change in the world. He doesn’t put out music for fame or money, he creates music because music is life for him. And he has found a way to do good and spread hope at the same time. I don’t think I have ever seen another artist like Ren. I hope you continue deep down the Ren rabbit hole because there is nothing but gold and so much to sink your teeth into as a therapist too ❤🐰🕳️
Having followed his healthvlogs back in the day, I can assure you that he has always been like this. He's doing exactly what he always promised his younger self and the community of people struggling around him. Advocating for positive and inclusive changes.
When he refers to untainted love in this context, he's referring to love free of self-interest - and specifically for the medical community, free, not of commercial need (he acknowledges that the capitalist system funds research and progression) but of wanton greed. Care for everyone because they are fellow human beings, not because of their specific capacity to drive shareholder profits. Thanks for the thoughtful reaction!
7:50 “Life is beautiful and life is hideous” when I saw this video I was going thru a bad time with my fisical and mental health, I can Honestly say it helped me so much. His words, the empathy he transmits, it just gave me a new vision of pain, and why we go thru it
He has put his words to work too, and has stuck to everything he's said! There's a theory out there that Disco Doc (an AI reactor) is Ren, and Disco Doc highlights smaller reaction channels on "Rising Tides Tuesdays" as well as is holding a competition for reactors who also rap in a "rap battle" LITERALLY marketing them for free. Seriously a genuine human and a breath of fresh air in todays world.
Yeah, from the “twin Flames” lady. The one that claims to be his wife. They have a daughter together…poor Ren. I don’t have a problem with mental illness. I’m bipolar and take my meds. I’m figuring she’s schizophrenic and doesn’t. My son and I pegged her accent as Southern Illinois, or a neighboring state. She seriously concerns me. I was nine when Lennon was shot.❤️🩹🥺
My daughter is a paranoid schizophrenic, and I have to say that the mental health system in America is broken. No one really tried or was able to help her. She had a lot of encounters like the one depicted in the Sick Boi video (assembly line care: in, pill’s prescribed, out, next!) I understand that the system is underfunded so it is also understaffed, but it does so little for so few. She’s been extremely med resistant and is now homeless on the streets of California. My heart is permanently broken and I miss her more than I have the words to say. She might not be completely delusional and voluntarily homeless because she’s afraid of her own family if someone had been able to get her on a good medication early enough. I pray for her and everyone who suffers chronically everyday. I hope REN’s words reinvigorate a discussion that might lead to positive changes in a system that has failed so many.
O wow I'm so sorry it's gotten to this tragic point. Thanks for sharing your story, serious mental illness still really does go under treated, particularly for those who are med resistant
As others have said this message encapsulates why many people find Ren and his art a new must-have in their lives, myself included. I really enjoyed your reaction. Subscribed!
Still hope you do the "chapters" on his second channel RenMakesStuff. Then you will have a comprehensive understanding about him as a person and his health history. Thanks for the reaction. Very valuable content.
This video always brings a tear to my eye 🥹 Ren is a truly a beautiful human. And the humility demonstrated here, along with his talent and humor, are why we love him so much! Thanks for this reaction. I really appreciate the perspective you bring. I look forward to your thoughts on more of Ren’s music and message!
Thank you for your expertise reacting to Ren. Just wanted to say dont listen to the criticism about your reactions. We are a large and sometimes protective fan base. ❤ I think Rens catalog of work is so diverse, its hard to know all he does in the beginning. Totally understandable. Thanks again!
Thank you for listening and breaking down the song. Sometimes I have been shared a song by my child and not understood until so much time has passed why they felt it meant something to them. I was more listening to the music and I missed the deeper part. I am going to be honest this would not be music I would listen to as a choice. Understanding it changes the narrative where it resonates.
You are welcome! I don't think I would have discovered ren on my own, so it's interesting to explore music that I would not normally seek out just because
@@Therapy2Day Sorry. I had already seen your review of Troubles and left you a comment. In fact I liked and subcribed straight away. (After a while of watching so many reactions it is not easy to remember which ones you have seen !)
Ren has always been an amazing person. He was pretty incredible before his illness. His illness served to exaggerate his good qualities, but they were always there. His sister is quite similar to Ren in personality. His mom did a great job with her kids. His crap father Martin was an excellent jerk. Which helped create the wonderful people they are today. 😉❤️✌️
Well said, Isaiah, & an appreciated share.. Imo, being able to turn around & shed even a glimmer of hope to someone going thru a hurt you've trudged through - the privilege of being a source of hope is, imo, the ONLY salve to one's own past trauma, giving it some sense of purpose, vs the black hole of anguish it can leave us with. Being willing to be a source of shared experiences is a win-win for both parties. 👍👍 (Ren has a recent drop on topic of DV that is whoa.. affirming for sure - title includes the name 'Violet')
Catching up to your Ren reactions and appreciating your insights. Thanks, subscribed. (judging by the comment section you are a very patient and understanding person 😅)
Did you ever watch his 8 chapters? (Located in his Troubles Playlist!) Normally id say its Not something that needs to be reacted to! But in your case... theres alot in them you could talk about! Actually... now that im writing this... I'm Very curious as to your thoughts about the Major medical/psychological treatment Failures hes lived thru!!!
What does success mean for you?
Completing a task, learning from it, bettering yourself, and sharing it!
Exactly what Ren says. Helping people. Happiness.

@@randal_gibbons that's a great point that sometimes we only see success in the rear view mirror
Ren is the most beautiful person that I don’t know. I haven’t experienced anything that he has and I still find that he inspires me to do better.
I think his work is really good for that kind of inspiration

Ah that makes sense. Thanks for explaining
You can always tell when someone has been through a lot. You don't get this much wisdom and empathy without once needing it yourself. Great reaction
