    I’m a 16 yr old girl going through changes and I have tons of acne scars and I have done chemical peeling like 2-3 months ago and have seen minimal changes, I use differin (not prescribed to me by my dermatologist but I’m trying it) and acm moisturizer and it’s sunscreen and I use lumix at night, I heard about this la roche cream and I wanna try it but I have oily skin and have pinkish to dark scars and small pimples, my older sister uses it and it helped her skin. I want to try it but im not sure if it’s gonna be worth my money.

    love the content - haven't started drinking the kool-aid quite yet, but this is the 1st doc to mention diff types of collagen (and I've been listening to popular U.S. dermatologists on yt for a while). May have to wait for sunekos to make it to the US in lieu of going under the knife for a lower bleph.

    oh, well.. i just bought it. its really confusing for the consumer bc everyone has different opinions on products. ive watched another dr. on youtube and he said that the product is really good so i wanted to try it out. (i suffer from bad acne around my chin/neck area and light acne on my cheeks). what skin care products (cleanser, moisturizer etc.) do you recommend? or is there maybe a trustful brand with overall good products?

      That's one of the most braindead comment I have seen so far, of course things will work if you put certain ingredients into it, that doesn't make the product good. Look at Cetaphill, they limit the ingredients what they put in their products and it works amazing, I am currently switching from La Roche Posay that I have been using for 8 years to Cerave, because not all Cetaphill products are in the EU yet. CeraVe Acne Control goes against the DUO+ one, it has no fragrance in it and is cheaper and more widely available, if Dr. Abs could review it that would be amazing.

    i have just bought it and then ive seen yours and many others not recommending it for the same reasons (fragrance and questionable ingredients), the one from my region is European made (duo +) however and claims to use salicylic acid (barely), do you recommend me to continue with it or disregard it as well?

    • @Dr_Abs
      @Dr_Abs  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Personally, I'd never use it to be honest. Even if it had salicylic acid, what's the concentration? What is it in combination with etc? These basic questions aren't answered so I would never use it on myself or any of my patients. Stick to proven ingredients and good SPF. For specific conditions you can add on top of that if needed. Feel free to tell me what you're buying for or have a consultation with me using the link in the description 😊

      @@Dr_Abs I would like to know what is a good moisturizing cream for the face?
      I have mild facial redness and mild pimples. it bothers me, how can I get rid of them without making it worse? I use if as my day moisturizer before subscreen and it does wonders with marks and blemishes. It has salicylic acid zinc pcs and niacinamide, i do use at night the adapalene treatment for lrp as well the american one

    • @Dr_Abs
      @Dr_Abs  ปีที่แล้ว

      So when you're using so many things you'll never know which is helping or if all are helping. The adapalene is the strong vitamin A that you have and will likely overpower negative sides of things like this while you use it and you won't know which is mainly responsible for improvements. You were to use the adapalene day and night whilst binning this you'd probs get even greater improvement.

    The story of my skin care journey....since I've been going to dermatologist , I've always ended up with at least 1 la roche posay product on my prescription...but they NEVER did anything for me...until I found out that the only products my skin needed was a good moisturizer and a retinoic acid cream!!! At my last visit to my dermatologist , his prescription filled with la roche posay products ended up in the bin!

    • @Dr_Abs

      Yeah it can be frustrating trying to find what works. There's always an experimentation period so don't give up! Don't forget suncream after retinoic acid and moisturiser.

      I already have it and don’t want to waste it, can I use it as a slot treatment? It’s reduced my acne so far, but it stings a bit after use, I think this is because I use epiduo as well in the evenings. I have hormonal acne. Thank you.

    Retinol isn’t pregnancy safe & If I stop using retinol acne, pimple come back again.
    How can I overcome it?

    • @Dr_Abs
      @Dr_Abs  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It's not that it isn't safe during pregnancy. It's that it's not been tested. Unfortunately there's no strict answer to this question. An alternative may be something like Rosehip Seed Oil due to the beta carotene it has which can be considered a vitamin A precursor.
