My doctor told me to use it twice a week for the first time and then try to increase the times of use until the skin gets used to it. And since I have an extremely sensitive skin, it became red and alot of tiny pimples appeared on my face. I can’t see them but. Can feel them with my hands. It’s been just one week and I hope it gets well.
Yes always good to start slow. This could be purging of the skin, it does go away with continued proper use but for most people, this is something that can happen when starting to use acids.
Thanks for this amazing video truly needed it befor strating effaclar duo+ i have a question is it okay if we combine it with niacinamide from the ordinary in the same routine ?
Thanks so much lovely. Yes! Niacinamide is an amazing ingredient that can literally be paired with most ingredients and even be in a couple products per routine. The effaclar duo already contains Niacinamide but still ok to pair with the ordinary.
In the UK, this is classed as their anti-blemish product but I know in the US it has a different formulation and contains benzoyl peroxide which would be great for acne.
It’s a replacement. New packaging and appears to have the same formulation too apart from one ingredient; plyobioma (a new science involving the microbiome on treating acne)
I would like to buy it but I am afraid that it will give me mini red pimples or something else. I saw a video which says that we must only put it on the pimples and spots to locate and my pimples and spots on the cheeks are income. If it's black because of the cold around my lips, can I wear it?
We can apply this all over as it also acts as a moisturiser. If your spots are black? Usually I would just apply mainly to my chin & cheek area and use the remaining around the mouth but not too much
@@LauraLeannee what about effaclar gel cleanser , with epiduo? Ive been using just effaclar duo m+ for the last 10 days but I my acne has gone alot worse especially in the forehead area, and the closed comedones have multiplied and became more visible
@@miha7488 tbh, there’s no need to have two different types of treatments for one concern. I would tackle the acne first with the epido, see how you get on. If there’s too many treatments, this could end up being worse. I hope this helps.
Thanks for sharing..but seems like it doesn't work for you 😢 last picture b4 and after, seems like became worst? Was looking for acne treatment, for now im using cerave acme gel.. its working but quite slow😢 Got some new pimples coming out whenever I use vitamin c 🥺😭 had enough and I gave up using it 2 days ago, after getting 3 pimples the next day😢
Unfortunately for my type of acne, it didn’t work for me. I’ve just edited using the cerave one so will be up shortly! For us it’s always a trial and error to see which one finally works. Vitamin c isn’t for everyone, esp if the percentage is quite high.
@@LauraLeannee nice 🤗 and true, im so pissed that vitamin c doesn't work for me.. Im using the green tangerine vit.c from Goodal, it claims its all natural 3x better than vitamin c. But I always have breakouts whenever I use it 🥺 ( used it only once a week..)
I wouldn’t use these together on the same day or even on alternate days tbh. Topical retinoids, like adapalene, can increase the peeling effect from salicylic acid. This can cause your skin to be extremely irritated and feel red, dry, itchy, or burning.
Yes! I did have a break though so during this video I didn’t use it as my skin was having a flare up so stopped all actives. This product was my way of introducing actives back in. For Dermatica, the formulas changed so now I’m on Tretinoin, Azelaic acid & Niacinamide. It’s going great

I think the US variant which has benzoyl peroxide is better.
Probably, that ingredient is great for acne prone skin.
Can it be used for acne? Asking cause there is another Effaclar product which says "Acne Treatment". Which is better?
In the UK, this is classed as their anti-blemish product but I know in the US it has a different formulation and contains benzoyl peroxide which would be great for acne.
is it enough to use it in night routines or should I use it both mornings and night?
No perfectly fine for evening routines.
thank you :)
What’s the difference with effeclar duo plus and the m one?

is this reducing black marks?
@@amasha2726 dark spots/pigmentation? Yes, the acids within this product do help towards reducing these over time.
Hey beautiful, can I use this cream everyday before I go to bed? Or just twice a week?
Hey, I personally wouldn’t use this everyday as it does contain salicylic acid but would opt to a couple times a week.
Can i use this with epido gel?
@@miha7488 No. please stick to using just the one as both contain actives. You’re best using the epido gel for acne.

@@Vernsandfamilyreviews oh that is not good! There’s so many different forms of vitamin C it could just be down to not being compatible with one kind.
Can I pair it with Effaclar Adapalene. Like Effaclar duo + M & Effaclar Adapalene gel together
I wouldn’t use these together on the same day or even on alternate days tbh. Topical retinoids, like adapalene, can increase the peeling effect from salicylic acid. This can cause your skin to be extremely irritated and feel red, dry, itchy, or burning.
Does it get worse before it gets better ? Because I am having breakouts after using for a week or so
@@AmeeMsthaq you can go through a purging process when it comes to using actives. It can last a couple weeks.
hey i used laroche acne duo and i got black marks and it is flaky is this normal? and how am i supposed to fix it up?
Hey, no this isn’t meant to flake or have black marks to the skin. I’d return if there is something wrong with the product. Thanks
