How does it help with rocesea and does this suit on damage skin that is combination skin as well t zone oily rest dry should I try I also have mild rosecea
@@facts4147 it helps a ton with the barrier, which is damaged when you have rosacea. the zinc inside also helps with inflammation, cica calms it down. i use it mainly at nigh so i'm alright with my t zone being oily! and i just put on less when i use it in the am, only when it's very very cold though.
@@facts4147 people with Rosacea generally cannot handle heavy moisturizers because they will cause us to flush, for example the triple lipkar baum and the original vanicream causes me to flush, due to the heavy mineral oils in there and general oils. Dr. Dray mentioned that because of this people with Rosacea generally tolerate silicones well, so although CicaPlast is a Baume, the skin protectant is silicone based so people with Rosacea tolerate it amazingly.
Omg thanks for letting me know that. My boyfriend is white and one of his cheeks is turning pink and I don’t know what to do with that (I am not white 😬) I have a La Roche (loooove it and the European formula is 100x better) pharmacy at home I am going to tell him to use it. Thank you.
I’ve had all kinds of skin issues, from dryness to redness, but after trying the subliminal affirmations on borlest, my skin has become so much healthier and balanced. I’m really impressed!
This balm helped to calm down my rosacea flare ups! I went through a phase of trying out a bunch of new products, my skin didn't like that at all and was all red & hot. Bought this balm and it calmed the redness down overnight! Used it morning & night for about a week, now I use it every night mixed with a lighter moisturiser (to make it easier to spread). In the morning I use a lightweight gel-like moisturiser + a thin sunscreen (la roche-posay anthelios uvmune invisible fluid). This routine has been working like a charm so far! So I definitely recommend this product for sensitised/sensitive, irritated, rosacea prone skin!
I have also dry & redness prblm skin..no moisturiser & cleanser suit me..which cleanser u use..plz tell me..i'm frustrated now..i over exfoliated my skin..now my skin barrier is damaged..plz help me..& avene cicaflate cream don't suit me..avene cicalfate cream dried my skin so much..is lrp cicaplus baume suit me?plz tell
@@জীবনযাএা I cleanse with vanicream these days, last year it was cerave and aveeno. Aveeno is AMAZING for damaged barrier or very sensitive skin. Cut back all actives, just cleanse/moisturize and use spf EVERY DAY. If you can find aveeno get the cleanser and moisturizer (they have a gel and cream version) and find a sunscreen that doesn't sting.
This product has been amazing for restoring my skin barrier, a helpful redditor recommended it to me when I complained about my skin stinging after using retinol, and I have used it every night ever since. I'm trying the Gel version at the moment, it's nice but the balm is definitely still my preference, thick and moisturizing but not oily and all.
Do you use this the same night you’re using retinol or only for serum night to treat irritated skin? I have red marks from the retinol due to its strength 😅
I swear by La Roche for my extremely sensitive, dry, eczema prone skin. This balm has been a life saver, however, for a compromised skin barrier, the Epicutis line has been the game changer❤
Love your videos by the way! Another off-label Cicaplast hack - I had a procedure last fall and my doc recommended the Cicaplast (which I fell in love with and have been using nightly for about 4 months now). My eyebrows are growing thicker and fuller! It is the same main ingredients as Grande Brow serum,. Just massage the Cicaplast into your brows and viola! Much cheaper brow serum. You're welcome! 🙂
I have oily skin and this product is the best moisturizer i've ever used. It is thick but not greasy. It really protects my skin from the environment as my skin gets irritated easily from environmental factors. If I have redness and acne, this product calms and soothes my skin.
My aunt is undergoing cancer treatment and La Roche Posey as a recommendation from her doctors. It, including the balm, has helped so much!!! Even around her eyes is less irritated…we love that it helps her and is affordable. ❤
I am obsessed with this balm. I was always scared of shea butter for some reason because of having acne prone skin, but my skin LOVES this. My skin type is dry acne prone and I swear this does help my acne too. If you are oily I’m not sure how you would like it, but I’m obsessed. I wish they made it in a bigger tube! La roche posay has easily become my favorite brand.
Your acne has likely improved because Cicaplast Baume contains Zinc Gluconate! I wish they touched on this and looked at the ingredients list more in the video.
I used to have really bad hormonal acne and my doctor recommended this (I couldn’t afford any other fancy treatment really). Today I have literally zero scars
I’m French and cicaplast is nothing new, it’s fun seeing it go viral now in the US 😂 it’s a really good product and it helped my skin when it was really irritated because of over exfoliation.
Am french too, i feel the same, Laroche posay is such a staple here, surprised going viral like this ! and correct me if am wrong they also didnt change the name of that moisturizer i mean last time i went to pharmacy it was still the same name ! so maybe they changed the name only in us ?
Same. I am Brazilian. Let me tell you the European formulas are 100x better. I always buy tons of products when I go to Europe or Brazil. I also love some japaneses products. I avoid using formulas made in the USA(they don’t work on my mix Latina tropical skin )
I wouldn’t say it’s new, anybody who is into skincare probably used this product (I def have), it’s just one of those tic tok trend situations, like the Dior blush, people knows about it for a long time but bc of tiktok it just became viral again.
I started to use Cicaplast after I destroyed my skin barrier with too much serums, it fixed it in just couple of days. Since that time I use it as moisturiser and I LOVE it. Love the feel of it, consistency, everything. My skin is naturally dry and it can get very dry thru some months as I work outside and this product is a life saver 💙💙💙
I had a breast reduction last year with a anchor shaped incision and used the Cicaplast B5 Gel for the first month followed by the B5 Balm, I never expected my skin to heal so nicely! Wonderful product! Note: I live in Europe!
did you use the gel and the balm like 5 minutes after or only the gel the first month and after the 1st month the balm ? I want to know for a burn scar
The new formulation has come out in Canada! It used to have 2% dimethicone and now it has 9%. I literally think of Cicaplast as the new Polysporin. I treat burns, sun burns, hang nails, cuts, bug bites, cat scratches etc and it relives the pain immediately !
I recently got a microneedling treatment for the first time and I have very sensitive and dry skin. Your skin gets really red like a sunburn for the first day. I had some of this at home so I put some on top of the moisturizer I was given from the dermatologist and it IMMEDIATELY made the burning go away! So I could see how this would help in so many different treatments, especially in treating burns from radiation. This balm will forever be in my cabinet!!!!
The lipikar balm is hands down the best moisturizer and my skin adores it. I am generally oily with dry cheeks from adapalene and the triple moisture cream is my day to day night cream. My acne cleared SO fast when I started just that moisturizer and another LRP cleanser! I love La Roche Posay SO much. I think their products are incredible and the price point is TOO reasonable. 😂
I’ll second that! It also says on the back of the bottle that it’s suitable for people who are undergoing cancer treatment I use it on my baby and have done since he was born!! It really saves my skin when I’m using tretinoin!
I can vet for this, I now have completely clear skin after really severe cystic acne with just the lrp hydrating cleanser, adapalene and lipikar cream. I’m obsessed with it, it’s so nourishing.
I am 75 and started using Tretinoin a few years ago. I have fairly sensitive skin and can only use the Tetinoin 2 times a week so the nights that I use it I also use the Cicaplast-a pretty thick layer and rub it in gently but well. I also use the body lotion in the winter. I really like the Cicaplast-it goes on thick almost like toothpaste but it disappears fairly fast. I have used the Avene cicalfate but do not like it as much-it just feels weird to me.
I've been using this for years for barrier repair purposes. Especially helpful for around the nose when it's raw from blowing or wiping my nose with a tissue.
I use this product for my dogs paws. Sometimes when they run a lot on a hard surface and their paws can get pretty raw. I spread this on their paws and the healing process is a lot faster than any other product I've used in the past.
I have ezcema and adult acne. I started using this product about two weeks ago on top of my night moisturizer and it’s already made a big difference in calming the irritation from both issues!
Thanks for the info about the Lipikar. I'm currently undergoing radiation. I'm going to ask my radiation oncologist if it's ok for me to incorporate it into my routine. Also, I just gained so much respect for the brand by knowing that they actually put the time and effort into researching safe treatments for cancer patients. That's really awesome
Lipikar is fantastic. I gave it to my elderly mom to use because she has very sensitive skin, and she loves it. You can put it all over your face and body and it’s super thick and hydrating. Another thing to ask your doctor about is a French cream called Biafine (not made by LRP), which was specifically developed to treat radiation burns. (Disclaimer: I am not a dermatologist, just a French skincare enthusiast!)
@@vaishnavivadlamudi8716 Hi!!! All is well now ☺ God is so good 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I love the Lipikar. It's so mild but extremely hydrating! It's now a staple in my skincare routine and I def recommend it to anyone looking for intense nourishment for their skin. It's AWESOME!!! Sending love and light to you 💖💖
I loved it for my babies diaper rashes, when I burned myself with my curling iron, in the winter for my dry cuticles and so much more. I keep it in my medicine cabinet.
I’m now gonna try Cicaplas because of this comment 🥹 My acne spots and scars are persistent and stays for about 2 years literally. Hope this balm helps me.
The cicaplast balm and Lipikar Baume are my two favourites product to use when I have an eczema flareup, especially when it's on my face or neck. They are also beautiful to use when I've overdone my vit A derivatives or acids and my skin stings with the application of most skincare products - it loves the both of these. So good for general dry patches as well.
is it pore clogging? i live in humid country and its hot sometimes, i want to use it only night but i was so scared bcs of the thick texture, and i was scared that my skin will overmoisturizing, my skin is dry - combination and semi sensitive
I have recurrent perioral dermatitis and use Cicaplast as a nighttime moisturizer, since it’s not very cosmetically elegant. It works wonders for my skin. It helps in managing flare ups and keep my face look hydrated.
I absolutely love this product. If I have an allergy bump or redness on my fair 58 yr old skin, it works like magic overnight. Every once in awhile I put some over my lipikar daily moisturizer all over my face and my skin looks amazing, especially under my eyes. I switched to all La Roche-Posay products, I no longer breakout and my skin looks a lot less blotchy and more dewey. I don't need foundation anymore. I put this on my entire body. Great for sensitive skin.
Absolutely love this product! I do TCA peels in the winter and the fresh skin is so sensitive to the dry cold weather. After I wash my face, I use one layer of hyaluronic acid and apply this on top. My skin feels nourished and protected without the greasy feeling. I prefer this over petroleum based barrier gels.
@@rightmay1974 You don't think they have good in-person, in camera chemistry? The way they play off each other's energy? Well, perhaps I'm just more perceptive.🤷♀️
This cream is my holy grail for my 9 month old. It helps so much with his skin and in particular helps when he scratches his face, really seems to help speed up healing.
I really damaged skin barrier recently, so my skin has been super dehydrated. But I also have combo/oily acne-prone skin. And I just started using this as my last step in my PM routine while trying to heal my skin barrier, and it’s helped me so so much in just 1 week
Are you using the new formula? I’m tryna repair my barrier too but I’m in the UK, I’ve got this product in my room rn but I’m concerned to use it with the new formula
Istg I love this stuff - only skincare thing I’ve actively finish and have empties of - it’s amazing fro pimples and just rejuvenates my face completely
According to La Roche-Posay's website years ago, Cicaplast was formulated to use after laser treatments, chemical peels and other instances when skin was irritated. That's why I first bought it. They've removed mention of that on their website now, but you can still find it in the product descriptions of other websites where it's sold. My laser technician even started recommending it to her other clients when I showed it to her. What really confuses me is using this as an acne treatment. Personally, I break out if I use it too many days in a row and I exclusively use it for irritation or after skin treatments. They came out with a serum formula in a tube some years ago, which I liked better because it didn't break me out like the balm. However, it seems to have been replaced with one in a dropper packaging, which is a real shame. Droppers are just awful. As far as formulations go, they're hit-and-miss. When LRP reformulated Effaclar Duo nearly 10 years ago, I had to stop using it. Whereas the old version worked perfectly for me, the new version did nothing. Unfortunately equivalent products from Avene, Bioderma and VIchy never did quite work either. I hope this new Cicaplast version works well.
This is my holy grail product. Saves my dry skin every winter, helps my eczema and is great when your nose is sore during a cold. I actually prefer the newer version.
Lipikar is fantastic. I gave it to my elderly mom who has very sensitive skin and she loves it. You can use it on your face and body and it’s super thick and rich.
I love this new series! It's very helpful to hear the details of the ingredients and their functions as well as whether claims live up to their hype. I would love to see a video about snail mucin next (cosrx is probably the most well known) since that also has a lot of wild claims
For oily skin and seborrheic dermatitis, I prefer the Cicaplast B5 gel. It was originally made for scars treatment but I think the gel is good for slug.
So happy to see that you both are obsessed with the Lipikar moisturizer! I'm an aesthetician who SWEARS by it to my dry clients! Love you both and hearing your informed opinions!
what about those of us who can't use niacinamide though? cetaphil also added this and took out vitamin E. why do companies not leave well enough alone?
Timely video, TY! I love La Roche Posay Lipikar, although it's very heavy, it's helped keep my 55 y.o. skin barrier from becoming raw/irritated in winter. Application matters, my favorite way to apply is a small amount (pea-size) on damp skin, allow it to absorb (15 minutes) and then apply Retin A - it's made a huge difference. I use it in conjunction at night with a double-cleanse (oil cleanser first step, I like Hada Labo Gokujun Cleansing Oil, second step is LRP Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Facial Cleanser)
I suffered during 3 years with awful ( type rosacea ) whitehead acne on my nose. Same pores were constantly infected. My nose looked so red, just a horrible situation. Since I added Cicaplast last November, it is now under control. I use Retinol, I use 2 types of cleansers, Niacinamide, and Azelaic Acid. This product changed my skin barrier so fast.
I've been slugging with this product for many many months, and I have pretty friggen oily skin. my skin loves it! I do this especially on nights I use a chemical exfoliator or my aztec clay mask. I always use the lipikar triple moisturizer underneath / every night.. my skin loves this brand. my acne has finally cleared up after over a decade of severe acne, and I don't use adapalene or trentinoin or any acne treatment.
When I'm using a retinol product (Curology) and my skin is irritated, the Cicaplast is the only moisturizer that I can use that soothes my skin. I also use this under my eye and upper lip area, AM/PM after my skin is clean. I LOVE CICAPLAST!
I was using this for my eczema but I switched to Avene Cicalfate at the recommendation of my dermatologist and have gone the winter without flare up for the first time in years. I would love to see you review some of the Avene product line.
My dermatologist also recommended Avene Cicalfate crème in combination with Avene Scar gel, for aftercare. I had a small mole removed from the side of my neck, which received a few stitches. I too, would like to see these products reviewed and compared to La Roche-Posay.
I was recommended to use Avene Cicalfate during my micro needling treatments and it helped me tremendously! I love it and it’s now my go to moisturizer.
Yes please, I went with all Avene at the recommendation of my derm and my acne suffering friends. Except for the hydrating La Roche Posay face wash, which is supposedly the best for use with tretinoin. I would live a review of Avene!
This is what I use during the winter on my face at night. Tho my face is oily it is also super dry during winter. It even flakes. This has been a miracle for my skin.
This is my ride or die night time moisturizer for my 50+ skin. I don't find it that heavy. I actually use squalane oil on top of it and then use lanoline on top. In the winter I use lanoline as an occlusive. My skin loves it. The triple moisturizing balm is my daytime and body moisturizer. My big bitch is the tube is so SMALL!! I'm constantly having to buy more. Laroche-posay MAKE THE TUBE BIGGER!!!
I use both of these products and I love them. Cicaplast is really good for spot treatment. If I have some problems with my acne I just put it on as a spot treatment before bed time and that is that. I only use La Roche-Posay products. ☺️
I used this for my son’s nappy rashes when he was a baby, as well as on minor grazes / rashes as he got older. It also saved my mum’s eczema when she had a flare out on her hands. Absolutely love it.
Pleased to see the boys compare the Cicaplast Balm to the Lipikar Balm AP+M since there's so much overlap between them. The Lipikar Balm AP+M is a holy grail for me. It's loaded with skin goodies and has very few questionable ingredients. Plus the clinical studies on cancer patients and prebiotic thermal water are really cutting-edge for a drugstore product. I know people are annoyed by the change in formulation, but the new version is amazing. Think they should do a dedicated video on it honestly.
This is better than ANY night time lip mask I have ever tried! Didn’t see that coming, but it was a wonderful surprise. This has saved my skin this winter.
I have rosacea, and im addicted to the Cicaplast B5 GEL, not the balm, haha. The balm is breaking me out but the gel is so good on my rosacea! I use it at night as a last step, kinda sleeping mask. During the day, the tiniest amount as a serum! The spray is also amazing! They launched a serum B5 but it has alcohol 😭
I have been using this for a long time, but only in winter or if I travel to a dry climate. I use it for slugging. It is effective, inexpensive, and my skin feels amazing in the morning.
I’m in love with this product . Nothing transforms my skin the way this does. A++++ Holy grail and this is coming from someone who has oily skin. At first you think it’s gonna be too thick and greasy but then it absorbs like a dream . Doesn’t leave me feeling greasy at all! Amazing! I can even use this during the day because it absorbs so well. I tried the triple repair on your recommendation and hated it. It didn’t absorb and left me feeling greasy. Team cicaplast balm all the way!
I can't go without my Cicaplast and Aquaphor, post procedure. I'm currently post procedure from a medium peel and the Cicaplast is super soothing. I pop the Aquaphor on the areas that have become crusty.
@@ansyansy3833 aww, thanks! ... I've just been using ceraves retinol serum for a couple months, and only a couple times per week , mostly out of laziness. But my idea was to get my skin familiar with the cerave and then move onto a stronger retinoid. How do you use the cicaplast? Do you apply it after adapalene ? Or only when you're having irritation?
@@shawnee. I see that's a nice idea to get started, also if you're a beginner you might want to look into "skin cycling" which was popular a while ago to reduce irritation when starting a retinoid I actually use it after my acne has started healing but is still inflamed and red, just use overnight on specific spots like that and I've found it really reduces the amount of scarring I get when I use it this way. I also apply it when my skin is feeling a bit dry and itchy from all the actives.
It's def not a cream that u can use all over the face, as someone w extremely acne prone skin it broke me out but using it in specific areas works well
Cicaplast helps to control my daughter’s eczema flares from irritants. If I observe a very first stage reaction, I immediately apply this one and it gets better in hours. And if I miss, she goes on a scratch March and makes it a big wounds leading to long term scars.
@@catnip4587I had the same feeling with it but then I tried mixing it with my daily moisturizer and it felt waaay better than just pure cicaplast balm or just my moisturizer
After two night on tretinoid, is so great in the morning. We have it with spf in Europe! I don't know there. It moistoriazes and heals, so... What else can you ask for? If you are on retinoids, twice a week is gooood, and looks quite nice too. I love it.
I have a large area of intense radiation burns . I was told to only put a lotion or cream on the area that is a ‘base’ product with no other ingredients. My. Urns are 9 years old and still burn and itch a lot. This is the first time I have ever seen a product that is suitable for using on radiation burns. Thank you. Will try it for sure.
Love this series. I'd be interested to see reviews on IT Cosmetics confidence in a cream, eyebrow/eyelash growth serums, and Fresh rose petal toner, lastly some of the popular wrinkle creams like Murad, Strivectin, and Murad.
Correct me if i am wrong it also has zinc which is the reason it leaves a white cast at first, also i do have both product i use the lipikar for daily moisturizing and the cicaplaste in the morning cuz i live in a dry cold area and i suffer constantly from wind burns throughout the winter time, this product has been a game changer for me it's as if i have a invisible protective scarf around my face all day long especially early in the morning finally my warmest greetings to you, you've educated me a lot about the skin and how to tackle most of it issues so thnx a lot
This is my goto moisturizer for the winter. It’s absolutely amazing for the dry climate I am in. Little too heavy for the summer, but when I overdo it a little with my tretinoin and get that stinging feeling, this stuff is gold.
I have severe skin damage to my lower legs due to lymphedema and recurring cellulitis infections. It really helps keep my legs moisturized, as well as support the healing of the damaged skin. I also have used the Lipikar line of products (especially the AP, AP+M and Triple versions), but have found the Cicaplast more supportive of the unique skin damage and scarring I have. So I can attest to the healing properties in relation to scarring. (Note: La Roche has an acne treatment line that works great too.). I really live by this brand.
this stuff is amazing! i’ve been using it alongside the cerave blemish control cleanser and the benzoyl peroxide 5% face wash and it has cleared my skin! i have had acne for 8 years and in the past 4 i’ve been getting bad cystic acne on my cheeks. Cicaplast has really helped calm my skin down. I still have surface scarring obviously but it has made my skin significantly less irritated and red.
I don't remember how I found out about this product, but I knew about it before it went mainstream viral! So lucky considering it sells put now. I have normal to oily skin and can get away with it in the winter. To combat the heaviness I take a small amount and rub it in my palms to warm up the product, then pat it in. Not only is it a God send if you're starting tretinoin, but it's great for skin barrier disruption and irritation. I had my dad put it on a wound he had stitches for and it helped heal the scarring! I love the Cica and the fact that it's in a European product when it's typically Korean.
I'm curious, what makes you think it's typically Korean? I've always seen these cica balms as very European, since they've been around here for well over a decade. Just some off the top of my head from French brands: Avene Cicalfate, Bioderma Cicabio and Uriage Bariederm Cica. They all work nicely if you can't find the LRP version. Or if you find them too heavy, LRP also has a serum version which is quite nice. Interesting that it's made it's way into Korean skincare trends. I never knew.
@@Chrysaetos3 Cica is also called Tiger Grass or Centella Asiatica, and it's a plant that grows in Asian countries. Asian countries, Korea being one, have used it as a natural remedy for a long time.
I didn’t think anything could help with my acne scars, but after listening to the subliminal affirmations on borlest for a while, I’ve started to notice they’re actually fading. It’s such a relief.
Your videos are so refreshing, fun, and full of relevant information that I can't even contain my excitement whenever a notification pops up on my phone! On a side note, will you guys review any product that might not even be available in the States, or should we limit our products (for review) to only the globally recognised brands? Excellent video, as always. Thank you, Doctors!
I can’t function without this balm! I have eczema , psoriasis, rosacea, Vasculitis on my legs. I wish it came in a bigger tube I would pay for that! I’m obsessed with the triple repair lotion. I use it on my face at night. I started Tretinoin .025 back in July and have never had any serious skin barrier problem while using these products.
I’ve used the Cicaplast line to treat some really nasty wounds after I fell with my bike and I wash absolutely amazed by its efficacy. My wounds were healing visibly from morning to evening every day. Very fast recovery, very minimal almost unnoticeable scars left. I don’t remember the other product I was using it in combination with, but also something from La Roche Posay. I still tell people about it years after
I've just discovered that there is also a gel of this series. This might actually be perfect for acne-prone skin or people on the oilier side who need the repairing and calming agents still. Like me, I have mild rosacea but combination skin and also have some blackheads, sometimes pimples in the T-zone and I think the baume would be too greasy for me.
I recently found out I have had inflammatory rosacea which is caused by an allergy to wasps! I live in Korea & from May to November I have the worst flare-ups from breathing in the wasp dander (along with other pollutants we have here in Korea). There was even a queen wasp in my home last year! I don't know about the old formula because this is my 1st time trying the line but I love the balm! It even works when I have flare-ups from eating foods high in histamines (usually aged cheeses & charcuterie meats). I've been using it since February & my rashes have disappeared, I will see how it works once we get into the nitty-gritty of everything in a few months time with the humidity, rain, & other things
As always, you guys are amazing and you bring the new information in very understandable way. Thank you for that! As a person struggling with rosacea, i'd love if you can review a product linked with rosecea healing!
I use this product all the time if I feel that my skin needs some extra TLC after Tretinoin. Especially, during the cold winter months as my skin is more prone to dryness then. Helps my skin recover from retinization.
To be honest, I didn’t expect much from the subliminal affirmations on borlest, but my skin has improved so much. I’ve had fewer breakouts and it’s looking clearer every day. So happy I found this!"
Love this series! I would love to see your thoughts on cosrx snail mucin products. I am definitely a fan of La roche posay products but the long overly wordy names and name changes drives me crazy!
This literally changed my skin. I'm 42 and until about 5 years ago had oily skin, had a baby at 37 and boom! Dry skin and rosacea flare up. After a few years of trying different things and soolantra, this cream is like a miracle.
Thanks for the test, I wasn't wrong when I just bought Cicablast for some hand wounds.Cicablast really helps with those and is somewhat comfortable. I like how it stays "moist" for a while when you apply a lot, and after a while you can blend it in. My thumb wound where a big chunk of skin tore right away has been healing so fast after I started to apply this to it as soon as the open wound phase was over.
I have dry sensitive skin and have tried everything from cerave to snail mucin and this is my holy grail!! I’m on my 8th bottle now and I swear by this. I use it as a moisturiser twice per day. I am fairly brown skinned and I have noticed it leaves a taaaad bit of a white cast but it’s not terrible if you don’t overuse :) My only complaint is that the bottle is SO DAMN TINY. But yeah it’s great especially if you’re using acne treatment.
do you use it on the eye area as well? on the bottle it says "avoid the eye contour area" but I really want to use this as a moisturizer on my whole face and apply it under my eyes as well.
I know I am in the minority when I say this, but LRP balm is good but i do feel it's a bit overhyped. It helped my red irritated skin a little but pills under makeup and exaggerates the dry flakes on my skin due to the zinc. It's not as occulsive than vaseline and not as moisturizing as some of my other moisurizers. I do with it has ceramides in it, because that's what reallly makes a difference on my skin.
I've been struggling with my skin it looks like a mix of acne and dermatitis and eczema for four months and just used it once I can tell this is it 😢 the happiness in my heart after crying 3 times a week for months. But yeah my mom did pray for 2 weeks and have never seen this product for some reason but now I finally found it

I actually really enjoy that they change the name upon changing the formula because it forces you to recognize that it's a different product.
It saves all our asses there won't be a winter without it.

Yeeeessss 🤟
Oooooh! Thanks 🫶🏼

Actually there is a big tube of 100ml

I’m French and cicaplast is nothing new, it’s fun seeing it go viral now in the US 😂
it’s a really good product and it helped my skin when it was really irritated because of over exfoliation.
It's just been reformulated though, so in a way, it is new!
Same - I’ve been buying it for years (as an American) and I stock up whenever I visit France!
This is one of the few skincare items I repurchase regularly. I have sensitive skin, and this really helps soothe my skin.
For eczema, the Cicaplast Balm is fantastic! I get eczema on my hands and feet and this is the only product that works for me.
Have you tried the one that is made for eczema? Its called "med", its VERY helpful for my rosacea
@@lodixe5947 I should check that one out. it's also made by LRP?
Lucky! It did not work for my eczema on my hands. Wish it did.
Same here!
Yep agree! La roche posay is a brand that I trust and can afford!
I’m obsessed with it, it’s so nourishing.
what exactly was your routine?:)
@@arrydoll2021 what did you particularly use?
Wore it last year on two back to back long flights and my skin was still moisturized. I now wear it on every flight ✈️🌴
I second this! I use it for my face and hands during flights.
A big yes from me! It's about the only thing that works for my red, irritated skin and it works fast!
I've been using this for years for barrier repair purposes. Especially helpful for around the nose when it's raw from blowing or wiping my nose with a tissue.
That’s exactly why I use it!

They are also beautiful to use when I've overdone my vit A derivatives or acids and my skin stings with the application of most skincare products - it loves the both of these. So good for general dry patches as well.

I use Avene’s Cicalfate cream which works the same way, it’s amazing for my Rosacea and dry skin!!

Does the new version work??
THIS!! I LOVE using it the day after i used retinol at night. It literally saves my skin from Dehydration and Barrier Protection 🫶🏼♥️
This is my holy grail product. Saves my dry skin every winter, helps my eczema and is great when your nose is sore during a cold. I actually prefer the newer version.
This stuff is getting me threw starting tretinoin without hardly any irritation with slugging... the triple I used nightly.. on the face.
I appreciated the little fun fact about the Lipikar lotion. My father is going through chemo and I'm for sure buying it for him.
Yes! Please! Snail mucin next!
yes omg!
For oily skin and seborrheic dermatitis, I prefer the Cicaplast B5 gel. It was originally made for scars treatment but I think the gel is good for slug.
Why? + is it better than steroid?
SO great to see you two again! You've been missed! Thank you for your professionalism and information.
I tried using it for eczema but did not work for me. I will have to check out that Avene Cicalfate
I was recommended to use Avene Cicalfate during my micro needling treatments and it helped me tremendously! I love it and it’s now my go to moisturizer.
For my and my rosacea, Cicalfate works best. I always used the cream, but switched to emulsion recently❤

Its a great product when using too much active skin care. French pharmacy products are terrific.
The cicaplast lip treatment is great! I use it every night!

I actually use it after my acne has started healing but is still inflamed and red, just use overnight on specific spots like that and I've found it really reduces the amount of scarring I get when I use it this way. I also apply it when my skin is feeling a bit dry and itchy from all the actives.

This seems great for dry cold windy weather
Love you two together. Luckily my skin doesn’t need this kind of product, but great for those that do.
this stuff is amazing! i’ve been using it alongside the cerave blemish control cleanser and the benzoyl peroxide 5% face wash and it has cleared my skin! i have had acne for 8 years and in the past 4 i’ve been getting bad cystic acne on my cheeks.
There are lots of famous french 'laboratoires' who started long ago around thermal springs. Later on they got incorporated by multinationals.
@@Chrysaetos3 Cica is also called Tiger Grass or Centella Asiatica, and it's a plant that grows in Asian countries. Asian countries, Korea being one, have used it as a natural remedy for a long time.

Have you already tried it??
This is the best product for my under eye area! My under eye lines are gone after application. The best!
Do use this moisturiser in morning or at night?
@@merlinmacwan6903 U can use it either way really. I do it both day and night.
@@hobiwater368 thank you!
do you use it on the eye area as well? on the bottle it says "avoid the eye contour area" but I really want to use this as a moisturizer on my whole face and apply it under my eyes as well.
Yes, so worth it! Makes my skin look flawless, plumpy and hydrated since I'm prone to dry.
I've been struggling with my skin it looks like a mix of acne and dermatitis and eczema for four months and just used it once I can tell this is it 😢 the happiness in my heart after crying 3 times a week for months. But yeah my mom did pray for 2 weeks and have never seen this product for some reason but now I finally found it
Your moms prayers were answered 🙂
