Sometimes choices have to be made to move forward with my boat project and future closer to boat building a sailing that will allow me to get my head down and focus on the task in hand.
Having to work full time to keep up this dream means i only really get the weekends to work on the boat, as well as having a social life too.
With everything that has been going on recently in the world it has meant the work on the boat has slowed down and proving to be quite a challenge to film and edit these video's
But worry not! I have a PLAN!!!
I want to thank each and everyone of you for your incredible support, it really has meant the world to me and allowed me to get way further with the project than i had hoped for.
I hope to be back and sharing this journey with you very soon.

No worries matey, these times are taking a toll on most of us. Take as long as you need as you don't owe us anything, we are merely along for the journey and will be here when you get the chance to come back. Good luck on the other boat project (do they have a channel or Instagram) I'm always looking for other little projects to follow as I cannot do them myself any more (one hour in my workshop and I have to recover for a day!)
Hope you manage to get some of the work done on your own boat without the extra burden of filming, editing and quit often re shooting, you really need more than one person for all that messing around.
Stay safe, stay focused and just be yourself!

I've been waiting in anticipation for an update but clearly there are exceptional circumstances in the recent covid 19 situation with 41,00 deaths in UK just being safe where ever you are in the world is most important . Stay safe Finn tomorrow is another day I can wait. 🚣⚓.

Understand FInn but remember that we care about YOU and not just the/a boat. Personally, I would be happy with a 3-minute update every week telling what you've been doing, what you found out about your rebuild, what's going on, etc. If the vids don't show you working on the boat because you can't then....so what? Rebuilding a boat is a process filled with surprises big and small. This is all just part of your process. I'm good with that!
Like you, I got a hull only project (steel) completed it in three years on my own, with very little cash (no u tube in those days) people asked how I did it so quickly. My reply was always "well I figured that there is only so many pieces of timber that go into a boat, if I put one bit of timber or steel into it everyday then I must finish it at some point " the other thing is I found it at times overwhelming to think I was building a complete sailing vessel, so to make it easier in my own mind I forgot that I was building a boat, I was build a part of a boat, stern rail, bunk, bench, cabin top etc. It helped. Keep at it mate.

That’s very true & I remember my dad saying his grandfather saying the same as you dad did to you. As you can probably tell, my surname is Italian although I’m a diluted third generation. So feel a sort of affinity to the phrase, particularly the burning bit 😁😁.
@@CiderRider57 Ah Italian, I'm Kiwi although my lady is Italian, though she was born in Trieste, which was a free city at the time of her berth, So quite rightfully considers her self a Triestian. Don't you just love it how governments can give away or sell territory or countries as they see fit, with out asking the citizens of that piece of land if that is what they want. And they call it a democracy. Anyways, on y'a mate.

I've got kind of hooked since stumbling across Leo's channel - despite the fact I really, really dislike sailing, after years of trying to stop being terrified! I'll stick to dry land builds myself ;)

If you have a bit of spare time maybe you could look into putting out a tee shirt or a button up jacket with your channel's name on the back and front. Or some beer coasters featuring your smack's name with Knotfinnishedyet under it. I think I would like to have a set of them. Even some rough off cuts with your channel name branded on and a bit of felt glued on.

Hi Russel, thank for your message. Unfortunately at the moment I do not have the time nor funds to invest in designing and having made anything like this. Maybe in the future it’s something that can be looked into more but for now, getting on with the boat and earning money to fund the next stages are top of my priority list. The Bawley is currently on the hard, everyone’s working hard to get her caulked and back on the water in the next few months hopefully.
