  • Having the ability to quickly jot down ideas or concept something in Blender is not only damn helpful but unique compared to other 3D applications.

Just spent a while figuring out how to use this tool and thenI looked up a few videos to confirm I was on the right track. Must say watching this video was far more fun and amusing then the time I spent figuring out how to use the tool. Thanks.

Clicked for the neat Title and Thumbnail, watched for the accent, stayed for the humor, liked and subscribed for the quality explanation. Keep it up, lad.

Epic thanks mate, the annotate tool is self-explanatory to an extent, but I couldn't work out how to hide/unhide my notes, so this was ideal :)

This is roughly what the “Grease Pencil” used to be in prior Blender versions. Of course, in 2.8x, the actual Grease Pencil has been taken to the next level.

In Case Anyone Cares: You can't Undo annotations (like with Ctl-Z), you must use the eraser. Hitting Ctl-Z will undo other stuff you did in your scene.

I never realised the annotate function was so diverse.

Is there a shortcut to change the radius of the eraser?

Like a video! Tx, Steven. Wish there was a quick shortcut: "delete all damn annotations".

We cant edit the frames nor their "in front" placement or can we? i noticed when you have an animation it automatically is added per frame, but i can find an keyframes or so connected to it

Is there no way to increase the thickness of your annotations? I clicked on the "Note" button and the "thickness" option appeared which I then adjusted but it didn't make any difference whatsoever to my annotation. Any ideas, anyone?

Can I change that blue default color? I mean, every time I change the color, if I delete the annotation, it starts again with the blue color. Can I change the color and make it permanent?

  • @therealslin

Is there also a way to move your annotations?

How do you get the menu to change to the easer to open? Looks like you mouse clicked however, it won't open the menu for me. I'm running 2.9 and upgraded recently so I'm slowly refinding everything.
