Yes, i'm aware the solo parts do not use the 7th string, however my guitar has a floyd rose and it's set up for a specific tuning, i cba to get it set up again, it would be more convenient if I just bought a new guitar lol.
Frankly I'm glad Nevermore is gone. Too much interpersonal politics polluted that group towards the end, esp. between Loomis, Dane and Van Williams. It wouldn't be the same great group anymore if it did manage to come back IMHO. CD is awesome anyway! What I'd like to see (if ever) is a tour from Alex's other side project, Blotted Science! I'd be fine with either Charlie Zeleny or Hannes Grossman drumming if that ever happens. BS would need a highly capable 2nd guitarist to pull off most of the parts live.
I think he's bending with his left hand, and just following the string with his right to hold the note :) That tends to be the way bends following a tap are usually played.
It's unbelievable how much talent is in this band and how only very few people know about it
The tutorial is very good! Jeff Loomis, no doubt, is one of the best guitarists today.
picking hand is flawless, such a good soloist

Damn I wish I had a 7 string so I could learn this
you dont need a 7 string to learn this.
it doesnt use the 7th string, just use a 6 string in standard tuning

Well, it's not hard to get one nowadays.
Does Jeff use economy picking or just alternate picking for the fast part before this part?
Mika Tarkela economy picking i think
He usually uses economy picking, he said in one of his clinic that he prefers economy to just alternate picking
He is heavily influenced by Malmsteen so economy picking. But I am sure he also used AP on some parts.
Very nice KUDOS gents!!!
Jeff Loomis Targaryen
Keith Merrow looks like Jordan Ruddess
I wish they would explain what there doing not just "next bit"
Just make a tabs

If Nevermore still existed, there would be no Conquering Dystopia.

Right hand bending after a tap? Well fuck me that's impressive.
