David Levi popped up in my instagram feed, I love it when the algorithm places these wonderful artists in my feed. Often can’t sit and watch them for long because they inspire me to pick my guitar up and start trying to mimic some of their phrasing!
It's truly inspiring to see someone use their platform to shine a light on deserving musicians, expecting nothing in return. Becoming the character and passion for music itself. The deep love for music and the joy we all find in celebrating the talent of others. What makes it even more remarkable is that you're such a great musician yourself. To uplift others while already being so talented shows a rare kind of generosity and humility. It’s the kind of spirit that keeps music alive and thriving, connecting people, fostering creativity, and building a community where talent and passion are celebrated. It would be amazing to create a series of videos that spotlight underrated musicians, giving them the recognition they truly deserve and maybe also have some talk about the music they are playing. I only think 2 of them were under 40.
Everyone you feature is always amazing - I’ve never heard of any of these people and they’re incredible . That Ebba gal harmonizing and playing piano was my favorite though - at least today😎
A channel this big giving space to some less know musicians can be lifechanging for them. I think they are very thankful for this content Rick!
Vinnie Moore plays the best instrumental cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps that I've ever heard.
Vinny Moore is not just an 80s shredder guitarist. He is a genius who pumped out seven or eight albums of pure genius. I’ve never heard him play something that sounded like he was copying someone else.
Dan Jacob is sick and his tunes that are more ambient and chill are surprisingly really good.
Beautiful compilation of great musicians. I'm particularly glad to see some love to Vinnie Moore; which in my opinion, is awfully underrated. Very cool Mr. Beato.
Great video, Rick! It's really cool to see so many incredible musicians and also to see Vinnie Moore on the list. A video about Shrapnel Records or an interview with Mike Varney would be amazing.
The solo in "Saved by a miracle" by Vinnie Moore might be possibly regarded as the best neoclassical metal solo of all time.. I could listen to it everlastingly..
I don't think Vinnie Moore has ever made a bad record! Completely underrated especially considering that he came out in the '80s!
Amen to that!! "MELTDOWN" I such a great rock release. Kind of like Andy Timmons..all of his stuff is good..plus he is the tone king!
@hamerac Agreed 👍
Andy Timmons that is, is tone king. Although Vinnies Tone is also good. I think he was playing Music man during the "Out of Nowhere" record
@@hamerac Those guys are both great! I really like Vinny's Time Odyssey and The Maze albums!
@clintstewart6627 The Maze if great .I do have it. But I still like meltdown the best probably..it was huge in my playing inspiration
The first female piano player reminds me of Lyle Mays melodies...beautiful!
She is fantastic.
totally! i thought the same thing ;O)
I was thinking of Russell Ferrante. Anyway, it's floating my boat.
Yes Lyle for sure. And Richie Beirach (not as much on the clip Rick showcased, but I checked out some other stuff of her's)
You mean the girl at 3:02? Yeah I agree!
The voicings sound quite like Lyle's
some really unusual note choices and awesome legato from that first guitarist featured. Amazing.
This is a great segment here Rick. Hopefully by you showing these talented people it can open up some avenues for them.
