By the way, I'm pretty sure we are getting another Conquering Dystopia album. I remember posts from Keith saying that it was being worked on, and he and Jeff are still friends, it's just taking a really long time. Jeff and Keith both got tied up with other projects and bands.
Well, now that Jeff is out of Arch Enemy and has some extra time on his hands...
Conquering Dystopia lives on... a decade later and I still spin that awesome album!
Nevermore are one of my all-time favourite bands too.
I hope we get more original music from Jeff in future - he is an outstanding creative artist and while I do appreciate his role in Arch Enemy - his greatest gift is in composing original material as opposed to being just a hired shredder.

There are 4 guitarists i always go to when it comes to shredding but is always clear as to hear every note. Vito bratta, yngwie, reb beach and jeff loomis. Love them all.

I ofc want Jeff to pay his bills, but I hope we get more than downtuned versions of Megadeth classics in addition to their godawful new material + stiff choreographed lived performances in the coming years... :-/

Jeff is the type of guitarist who simultaneously inspires AND depresses you, because he is such a talented player. I could only dream of reaching his level of ability. One of THE greatest metal players ever imho, up there with Jeff Waters, Chris Poland and a few others as absolute masters of their craft.

@@sergiynechay6942 Not just playing every day but forcing yourself to master techniques and riffs that you struggle with. It's super easy to revert to what you can already do rather than pushing yourself to do an exercise over and over until you can flawlessly pull it off.
I find his picking technique is very unique The way he claws the whole pick.

The world just wasn't ready for this album when it first came out. I'm not sure the world is ready now. Some of us are still recovering from the shock that came from hearing this album for the first 100 times. I still call it the best instrumental album of all-time....change my mind.

I have seen many and I mean many great guitarist live. You name it and I have seen them probably. This guy though.. Was probably the cleanest I ever seen when he was in Nevermore. Something about the sound and tone he used that night. Not saying he was the best I ever seen talent wise... Definitely up there at the top, but he was definitely the cleanest sounding.... PROPS TO THE SOUND GUY FOR THAT ONE!!!
