I took one for a test drive today impressive I found it very comfortable and well built. Apparently the hybrids not arriving until mid to late September at least in Sydney I'd definitely would test dive that one as it will be more economical especially around town and more power and torque as well! As my only real criticism is the petrol only version is thirsty but it does drink 91 Ron so that helps some but 10 grand cheaper so yeah.

Great review. How does NVH (engine, road, tyre noise) compare to Haval H6 ? Is wind noise an issue at higher speed ?
Hi, Not that we have noticed. Very little engine noise, Road noise will vary depending on surface ( most vehicles are the same) and wind noise is minimal ( haven't tried roof racks ) GWM have done a great job with the build, insulation etc

I don't think it is. Its basically a moving lumbar support for your lower back. Subtle but satisfying ;)
Is it true that the Ultra Petrol has a different feature set than the Ultra Hybrid, such as different center console buttons and no wireless Apple CarPlay?
Thanks Dylan, you mentioned it has apple car play, but do you still have to plug your phone in for it to work? if so, doesn't that defeat some of the purpose of having a wireless charging pad as wee?

Yes you do have to plug in for Apple Car Play. Wireless charging is for quick top up charging if you don't need car play etc.
You can purchase wireless car play dongles that give you the capability.

thanks for the content. What do you think about the 400kg payload limit? I hope the company increases that by at least 200kg in next release .
Hi Mate, Its not amazing or ideal but "it is what it is" I think if your towing 1500-2000kgs ( and not putting 10% on the ball) it might be sufficient. I look forward to hearing more feedback on it as we sell them. I still think its going to be a very popular vehicle.

Why doesn’t GWM make commercial Van

You should be good! We had a tall man in today and he fit well. ( I would recommend heading into a dealer and physically sitting in one)

Hey Nick, George Miedecke here - I'm 6'6 and fit fine, but I agree with Dylan - head into a dealer and try one on for size to be sure :)

Not really unbiased review and some key criticism left out like the payload far too low, indicator stalk is not well thought out to cancel and LKA is far too obtrusive and really can be dangerous but update apparently coming, also traction system is quite poor but nothing lockers can't remedy. Otherwise a solid vehicle
Hi Ben, There is a software update available that fixes the LKA concern you mentioned.
Call your local dealer they will eb able to assist.
In regards to the Payload( We actually did this review prior to the towbar specifications being released)
If you own one I trust you are enjoying it. ( great value for money)
