Insurance on tesla is super expensive... I am not sure if the numbers you said are correct. Try adding other figures like... FSD subscription, homelink... that would definitely decrease the savings...

I will prefer to buy a toyota camry hybrid. Cheapers and more reliable. It will be kind of the same money for maintenance and it won't depreciate the way teslas do. The most important of all, I won't be wasting time on charging the battery and finding a charging station when I travel.

I have a 2016 kia soul, and the maintenance that I've done is only oil changes, air and cabin filters, battery change, and wipers and wiper fluid. It is still original tires with around 50k miles. I spend on oil with filter changes 80 dollars a year because I do them myself, very easily. Air filter 13 dollars a year, cabin filter another 15 dollars a year. In 8 years, I changed the battery twice, and each battery cost around 190 dollars. I changed the wippers, around 30 dlls. So, in 50k miles and 8 years of driving, I have spent around 1,700 dlls. My first two years with the car I only did oil changes which was 160 dollars. The other thing is that I paid 24,000 dollars for the car.

Are those 2025 model 3s coming with mobile connectors? Or you buy em separately.

Ghost in the machine - Got our Model Y about 5 days ago. Really enjoying it. Turned on Sirius XM but now, I can't turn it off 😆 Seriously, I open the car and it starts playing. Put my finger on the icon which popped up an "x" thinking I could touch that and it would close. Nope, just keeps on playing. Was at the Tesla dealership and spoke to a service manager. He told me to do what I did but if that didn't work, he said, and I quote, "Just mute it!" Seems..... odd not to be able to turn it off? You get in an ICE vehicle and power on/off the radio but not here - at least not that I've figured out. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Absolutely not. Charging one EV at my house or a charger was so slow I couldn’t do anything. $60 difference in bill that month. That’s over 700 miles worth of gas for barely 200 miles of anything.

This is why people call Tesla drivers nerds.

For right now, sentry mode is BS. I was informed that someone tried to get into my model Y by accident. I thought the Tesla would at least record it. But nothing was recorded. Sentry was turned on. But no footage. Also, I have several sentry clips but I can never see them on the app.

I'm 5'8" and use a small stool to reach the middle of my model Y windshield. So I got a car wash microfiber brush with a 62" removeable handle since, being old, it also really saves my back as I don't have to lean over as much doing the car's sides. I don't have PPF, so I don't use a ceramic wax--instead I use Chemical Guys wac-201-16 butter wet wax that has Carnauba and resins and wipes on/off really easily.

Did you forget to put your car in car washing mode? I thought I saw a video about how doing so closes certain air intakes below the windshield so that water does not get into your cabin filter. Otherwise after time, your interior could start to stink and you would need to replace the cabin filter more frequently. It was just something I heard and I don't really know much more than that. Love your videos and appreciate your point of view living in Vegas as I also live here. Cheers.

Try using chemical guys VRP for tire shine. Put applicator on a sponge pad and wipe the tire down. Stays shinier longer, it’s not sticky. Doesn’t sling onto the side of the car. And it keeps the tire from drying out. 😊

Thank you, did not know about the Widget on my IPhone. I feel there have been many times I fumble to look and quickly open the app to do somthing to check the progress of a charge or unlock the car for a friend. 😅

Been thinking of a Tesla as my next car due to care free maintenance and being more nimble, but I feel like I'm going to miss all the physical buttons in my Camry along with the front dashboard etc. You are moving forward w/ Tesla's tech, but also feels like going backwards having everything except the center touchscreen lol. How'd you do the transition?

While driving home on FSD at night I recently experienced something that really surprised me. On a small dark road a deer jumped out in front of me and my car slammed on the brakes to prevent me hitting it. I was really surprised at how incredibly that was. I only wished I had remembered to hit my horn to capture it.
