For the video recordings, you can also press the right roller on the steering wheel and say 'save dashcam'. I always use 'joe mode' to reduce the volume of the turn signal clicking.
I just learned today if you press the windshield washer button you can turn on & control the speed of the wipers. I just got my MYP last month so idk if it’s a new feature or if it’s been there.
It’s been there But earlier it was better, now you need to scroll, and if you have it on manual, and press the windshield wascher again, it will move 1 lever higher And you need to scroll, for example to turn it off, or adjust to highst Earlier it was not on the wheel function, but left and right of the left scroll, which you could just hold to turn it off, and hold the other way to turn it on It was easier And if you pushed again it did not modified the manual speed, just run the wisher once
New user here. Knew most of these, the final tip i am certainly going to use for wipers. Unfortunately 'advanced' for software isn't cutting it for me, still no holiday update.
I live in Vegas too and have had my MY since August. While I knew about most of these, now I know what Joe Mode does and going to try that out! The left scroll wheel i'm certainly going to use for the glovebox too
@@khaleefax9553 I think it just defaults to the last hour as a Tesla software thing, regardless of the size of the hard drive, unless you manually save it some way. I could be wrong as I don't have experience with this, though
@@vegasteslafamily From what I am reading ,,, even that last hour is NOT saved. You can only SAVE the last 10 minutes from that one hour recording by a manual command or action. I think Tesla needs an update here. You've got the technology and leading engineers and they can't understand the basic concept? All dashcams must record and save the video all the time till your connected storage device is full. And only then it should prompt a message to overwrite it? Which will give the owner a chance to go thru the recorded data and save whatever clip they wanted to save.
For the wipers I quick tap the button on the end of the left stalk and then left scroll to the speed I want. It has to be a quick tap or it will spray windshield washer fluid lol
I wanted to ask, we have two Tesla model Y, the one that I primarily Drive I set up my seating profile to my liking… but whenever I drive my wife’s car I click on my seating profile, but it’s never in the same position as it would be in my car. Have you ever noticed that? We’re on each other phone keys btw so it should keep storage of all the settings
Good question! I should’ve covered this, but in Bluetooth menu, you can set one phone as a priority device. That way if it detects both phones, it’ll default to the priority device’s settings
You only need sentry mode on when away from home. Even if you’re parked 12 hours a day away from home that’s it’s than 50¢ worth of electricity per day. It’s cheaper than the $1000 deductible you have to pay if someone hits your car and you can’t identify them. However, in 5 1/2 years, it would be cheaper paying the deductible rather than the electricity. I only use sentry mode when I go into a store so it’s at most one hour per day so significantly cheaper
There is no new information in the video. There are already to much old videos with the same information. Maybe you can introduce the new software 2024 44

Yes this is true! Good point

This is true. Easy way to do it also

Picking up my Tesla M3 next month. Super excited! Thanks for the tips
Congrats! Happy to help out
just got my m3 last month still trying tink with everything :) thnx for this video
Awesome congrats! Hope this helped a little
What kind of PPF wrap color do you have in your video??

Yeah the rollouts are slow sometimes - but advanced always gets it before standard!

Hello local! Awesome glad I can help out at least a little
*If I connect a 1TB hard-drive into the glove box port and turn on "Recording", will it record all cameras all the time when I am driving?*
It will, but I believe even in that case it will only auto-save the last hour of footage
@@vegasteslafamily
last hour because it will fill up the hard drive or it cannot do more than an hour worth of recording?

Don’t use honk, just set it to your left scroll wheel long press
Also an option
2nd driver settings paired to their phone messes things up when you are both in the car with your phones, we had to disable that feature.
You can set one as a priority device!
Just ordered my M3P! Excited to pick it up next week. Have been watching all your videos lmao.
Congrats! ⚡️ hope we helped a little bit lol. Appreciate you watching!!!

I should’ve mentioned this - we don’t use them often in vegas I forgot lol
I’ve been on advanced since purchasing and haven’t received any of the new holiday software updates.
They roll them out over a certain period, some sooner than others, but advanced always before standatd
Thanks for the tips 😊
Glad they were helpful!
What if I want to keep doing what I've always done? Turn on the heat or air and listen to the radio as I drive
You can always do that! haha

I noticed this with a 21 MY loaner vs our 23 MY
I noticed that - I think it auto assumes my position in my wife’s Y, but after I changed it once it has been fine
4:25 damn it! lol
Also if you have stocks in your vehicle, windshield wipers are easy to access.
😂😂 we try to throw these in the video once in awhile - first one that we have gotten a comment on it 😂
Is FSD tied to profiles? My wife doesn’t use FSD but would use Autopilot.
Yes it is
How do I log in & stay logged into YT?
Once you log in it shouldn't log you out on your profile
Yeah it does. I have to log in every time
I live in Vegas too. I had an accident on the road recently. Where did you take your model 3 for auto body repairs? Thanks. Love your channel
Sorry to hear that. The collision center on the south end of town - they were great
Wanna come with me to my Tesla delivery end of December? I got a M3 RWD.
Awesome congrats!!
How does it work when my wife and my phone are both in the car?
Good question! I should’ve covered this, but in Bluetooth menu, you can set one phone as a priority device. That way if it detects both phones, it’ll default to the priority device’s settings

Wonder what that would entail
Sentry mode uses to much energy

@calvinwalker4654 that's true
It does, but it’s worth it
I think its a bit to late for this video..
