By far the easiest how-to I found for crown. I am a little spatially dyslexic so simple is best. I watched this video and followed step-by-step, and to my excitement, it worked the first time. Thank you for taking the time to video, as this is an easy to follow format.

Not to be rude but iv been professionally house painting interior and exterior since 2004. Painting mansions and high end work on longisland ny, east Hampton to glenncove and downtown Manhattan, mostly Hamptons eastern longisland ny. Working for a very well-known respected painting company..out of Suffolk County longisland..if i go to work tomorrow morning and start painting crown like that...( tomorrow is Thanksgiving im off but next Monday) if i did that my boss or forman would freak out..lmfao...😂 they would seriously send me to health works clinic for a urin test...😅probably not, maybe for a new guy, lol, but they would definitely have a crew meeting about coming too work high..yeah Don't do anything you just saw in this video, a good painter always starts at the top, ceiling first, bomb the crown with the roller or hit it, make sure you cover and don't leave any boogers or heavy spots, hit it when ur roller is dry, step 2, paint molding, hit it hard and good, cut the molding paint into the ceiling.Make sure you cover, professional painters dont do 2 coats, ONE COAT ONE SHOT, and ofcourse always double check ur work for HOLIDAYS, FLASHING, BOOGERS ETC, make sure molding is brushed even, sometimes dental moldings might need two coats.. hard to get in one shot without drips, step 3, walls, dunk and go, obviously step off the molding a inch or 2, try not to hit the molding with your roller 😂, when wall is complete go back and cut the wall paint into the bottom of the molding..PROFESSIONAL PAINTERS dont use blue tape lol or spackle trowls for a straight line lmfao. And no screens either, pole, roller, 3/4 nap PURDY WHITE DOVE, and a 5 gallon bucket, CUTTING IN 3 inch Corona or purdy, straight or angle...gallon cut pail, pothook... does mommy put warm milk in ur- My Little Pony lunch box thermos..if you use tape too cut in ur lines, ur a hack.. and that homeowners special method dosent look right, there are situations were u have no choice but to use tape, its an old house and nothing is straight, so u have to create a straight line, and if ur going to tape off ur lines you have to make sure you do it right, and that takes time, tape cost money...its cheaper and faster and looks better when cutting ceiling lines by hand. I thought the same thing when I started, why not just use tape lol..step 4, BASE MOLDING. Lol....i guess you can paint however you want, if it comes out nice and neat and ur happy ❤then God bless ya..still the wrong way thou..lol..😮😂❤
Thanks for taking the time to share your insights! This video is aimed at beginners who might not have the experience or the tools that professionals like yourself use. It's great to hear from someone with your level of expertise. For those starting out or DIY enthusiasts, these methods can be quite helpful to get them into painting some rooms in their home without being overwhelmed or afraid to mass up. Your professional tips on techniques like starting with the ceiling and the one-coat method are really valuable. Maybe consider making a video to show the professional approach? It would be a fantastic learning opportunity for our community. Happy Thanksgiving, and enjoy your day off!"

Quick question. Why do you have to turn them upside down?
You turn molding upside down to cut it so the angles match how it will be installed. This ensures the cut is accurate and the decorative profile lines up correctly. It also makes the molding more stable against the saw, reducing mistakes by keeping the long edge of the molding on the table saw. The best way to understand is to try it both ways and see the result you get.
Love it!

5:30 belive what you want, but if something drops on those tiles i believe they're gonna crack, cause there's higher chance of having voids or air pockets for easier understanding that don't provide support
It’s been two years, and the tiles are still holding up well. If anything changes, I’ll be sure to update you with a video. I appreciate you paying close attention and catching the nuances of the topic!
4:49 what the hell? you want to collapse the ridges to remove the air, so the tiles aren't hollow, am i missing something here? Did I missunderstand what you meant?
No you are correct. My choice of words was not the best but I put out an explanation in the other tile video. Check it out.

Hi there . I have matching 12 inch x 12 inch bathroom floor tiles. what mm spacer should I use ?
The grout size for a 12x12” tile typically depends on your personal preference and the look you’re going for. However, a common recommendation is a grout line of 3/16 inch for ceramic tiles. If the tiles are with very precise edges, you can go smaller, around 1/8 inch. But your best bet is to check the manufacturer’s guidelines for any specific recommendations! Let us know how the tile turns out.
Thanks!

So, did you just smooth it out real good and then paint it?
Yes I tried to get it as smooth and level as possible and then we did two layers of primer with stain blocker to cover the patch work and then we did two layers of paint. It’s a lot of work but it’s worth it at the end.

what tooth size did the trowel have you used?
That all depends on the type of tile you use and the size of it. In my case, my tile was 3 x 6” and I used quarter inch V shape trowel. If you send me the size of the tile you’re installing and what type it is, I can give you a better recommendation if it’s different than mine.
Don't do it tile sucks. You will be sorry...
Did you try it and it did not work out? Because the only way to get better is to do more tile. I was lucky enough to have the guidance of my dad who has tiled before and I’m sharing everything I learned from him in this video that helped me succeed. I think it turned out well for first tile job.

I’m not sure what this means
Caulk sounds funny 😂😂😂😂😂
I agree what should we call it
@@DIYwithMAX something not caulk
@Solid_Snack hahaha 😂 let me know if you come up with a better name. I might use sealant moving forward. What are your thoughts on that.
Your floor looks awesome, a great job for a DIY project, the only problem you may encounter is the white grout in the kitchen which will get easily stained by various things like dropped food and spilled oil. Lasers are great as long as you don't bump them, I bought one primarily for self leveling which it is an amazing tool for
Thanks! I’m thrilled with how it turned out - it’s definitely satisfying to tackle a DIY project and see solid results. You’re absolutely right about the white grout; it’s bound to pick up stains in the kitchen. I did seal it with some stain-resistant treatment to help keep it looking fresh. And yes, lasers are game-changers for leveling; they’ve saved me so much time on this project - just need to be careful around them!
I wish I could take a picture and show you how when I make that template you’re showing went to 45 and once another degree and I’ve got 45° on the left for the right hand side and 45° on the right for the left-hand side😢🤬🤯

Help! I did all those wonderful steps and my ceiling looked great. I wanted a slap mop texture so once i started putting that on I started pulling out my the material I had used to fill in nail holes and other imperfections. Do I need to use a primer before applying a texture after I go back through the fill and sand steps again?
Sorry you’re having this mess on your hands. Can’t believe you want to put the texture back after all that work lol. I’m no expert by here is my opinion. Yes, you should use a primer before applying texture to your ceiling. Priming ensures optimal adhesion of the texture and promotes a consistent finish. After filling and sanding the imperfections, apply a drywall primer evenly across the entire ceiling and allow it to dry completely for few days before proceeding with the texture application. This step is crucial to prevent the texture from pulling out any previously applied materials.
Got cupboard up but how are are doors fitted? I've put doors on but can't open them fully?
Check to make sure you are using the correct hinges. The corner cabinet has special hinges you should be using if I’m not mistaken.
Do you rent the saw?
He's right thank you bro for the tip.
Appreciate the feedback!
Do you know the difference between “access” and “excess”????
English is my third language so not always
I installed the same garbage disposal and I get water from underneath it. Not from the bottom but the top. Could it be that I did not used the black elbow that came with it?
I tried to do a video but I was not able to. It moves from the top and the water comes down, I did not use the PT . Thank you
It sounds like it’s not draining for some reason. I’m not a plumber but You can email me some pictures at diywithmax@gmail.com and I’ll see if I can help in any way.
Did you use the plumber putty for the sink to flange connection? If you don’t have a dishwasher then you should keep the drain plug in. If you removed it then it will leak there. Also these should be a rubber washer with that black elbow so if you used a different one it may not seat properly.
A garbage disposal that's leaking from the mounting hardware can be caused by a number of issues, including: Loose mounting bolts: The mounting bolts may need to be tightened. To do this, unplug the disposal, remove any obstructions, and use a wrench to tighten the bolts until they're snug. Double check your assembly: The mounting assembly may not be properly assembled. Excessive plumber's putty: There may be too much plumber's putty under the sink flange. Something’s to consider.
Thanks for sharing!

I’ll be doing a video on this process as well, following your steps. Because some dude quoted me 4K for my whole house. 🏠
Google luck brother. I’m not surprised it’s a lot of work. If you live in the place make sure you have great fan in the window to pull the dust out and test your popcorn for asbestos if you’re removing popcorn ceilings. Cover everything with plastic. We did not live in the place so we did not take that step. We used n95 masks but respirators are better. Spend the money it’s worth it. And let me know if you have any questions I’m happy to help in any way I can.
@@DIYwithMAX thanks! House built in 2000, already removed the popcorn by wetting it, but like you said, that’s the easy part, now it’s the sanding and mudding part. Then paint
@MakingTheVision my biggest advice is do your best on the spackling and sanding that will guarantee you best results when you lay primer and paint. Let me know how it goes and thank you for liking the video and subscribing.
