All you so called hockey experts and Gm's lol they won't trade Logan..thats a joke..he will be around in there top 4 for awhile..enough of this crap Mtl will trade him or because to fix that they picked him...the guy didn't kill anyone and did the things he had to..He's big, strong, has a great shot and won't put up with crap infront of the net..SMH to all you so called experts about trading him..your all a joke
🚨TWO NFL WINNERS IF YOU FOLLOW🚨
A 40 shot loss is never terrible, unless the other team got 50+
they will not win every game.Avs lost a game against the hawks too. They won 4 out of five .Whats the problem with you guys in Montreal??
This aged horribly.
Can’t be amazing one game and not ready the next. Give the boys a chance, they are staring to believe in themselves and each other. Dobes is the real deal. If they stay healthy they will make the playoffs. Wrong on this one Sean.
Gallos forehead is getting bigger
Go Habs. In 2 years all these Slaf haters will be singing his praise
I agree we shouldn't be too hard on Slaf. But he doesn't have any clear cut exceptional skills. Even when he had the good end of season. I said it at the time, that the new huge contract was a massive mistake. Terrible business decision which was an emotional one.
Slab needs to be more aggressive on the puck. He needs to get stronger on his skates and run through guys. He is too tentative.
Does management actually expect a team with half a dozen players under 6' to compete especially two undersized D men who are supposed to be able to clear the front of the net?
I'm not saying that Slaf was the wrong pick, but it has to be said that he is an underwhelming 1st over all pick. When you make a comparable list of 1st over all picks, he would be much closer to Yakupov than McDavid.
Just when you thought maybe...frustrating team. As for Slaf I still think he will find his way but he has been a major disappointment thus far. At the risk of showing my age I always thought Slaf would materialize into a player from the 80's John Tonelli
It seems there may be a bug going thru the team. Laine out with “flu like symptoms “ Savard out same game. Slaf dragging his ass Ps: I’m a diehard Habs fan I share your videos with my 2 brothers so that’s more views for yuh buddy
it was a fine loss, they aren;t making the playoffs, they will be playing some meaningful games, they still need more talent, size and speed, they can;t afford to miss savard and laine or anyone else for a game, not enough depth, they again played with 5 ld again, it's not sustainable. The roster will leek better and have more talent next year.
Slav needs to be exposed to old time hockey Arber needs to have a beer and explain the facts of north American hockey to him he's got to get tougher use his size and learn to be able to stay on his feet his butt makes to much contact with the ice.
He’s such a big guy but he’s always falling. I do have to say one thing. He has excellent posture. Maybe I’m being too negative but I never see him developing more than just a very average player. What do you think ?
If the Chicago game is a scheduled win then shouldn't the last 3 games against Tampa, Florida and Vegas be scheduled losses ???
AFTER they beat those teams…Yes it was 100%
@shaunstarr so based on that exact logic your laying out , tonight is a scheduled loss , got it , lol can't have it both ways man
1st thing , we need a real coach that does not put a 23yr old goalie on the bench for a week after a shut out in his debut . 2nd thing we need is another inpact player. Our development of prospects has bin horrible , slafkovsky guhle xhejai newhook dach are not getting bettet at all, mailoux and roy have bin stagment , and this is do to msl as coach he is terrible , 1 player benefited from him and thats cauffield. The entire coaching staff needs to be changed , letowski was a plug , and robidas was soft as baby shit. They are their to toot msl horn , even when he is wrong.
Again dumping on the coach(es)? Take a breath. There is no magic pill. Look at Oilers and Sabres over past 15-20 years. Bushel of 1st overall and other very high picks - players like McDavid, Eichel to name 2. Both are coaches and GM graveyards. No thanks, I’ll wait it out and look to see the picks and developed talent to take over the club and carry us to Cup parades in Montréal.
@jrthemaverick2361 hes not a good nhl coach amd his assistance are even worse
I could agree with you, but then we’d both be wrong
Nothing wrong with this loss at all , montreal is a rebuilding team making strides , they will lose games to teams they are better than and beat teams they are worse than , young talent is making strides , realizing where this team is , is very important, the time for expectations is not now , hell hughes still hasn't finished moving out the bad contracts from MB.
Disagree my man. Leaders publicly said they wanted to go a run. The vibes were strong after beating who they beat getting a team like Chicago to put them within 1pt of a playoff spot. Pressure is a privilege and they learned a lesson losing to Chicago 👊🏻
@shaunstarr they literally had the first 3 game win streak in a long ,long time . They are moving in the right direction, expectations to soon can ruin a team , look at the rangers currently , say Montreal gets within a point of the playoffs and the fans say , next season it's playoffs or bust , then you stop showing patience ,bring in vets to replace the kids "who aren't getting it done" might as well trade demidov for a proven vet lol . For this season the big goals imo were to see if dach is the long term 2c and does newhook stick in the top 6 .and to figure out who plays with who on d , playoffs are not a priority this season .
I say keep jake evens he is really good at what he does
The highest drafted player with Laval, Mesar, yet not a peep about him. Yikes.
I don't like the trade go habs
keep Evens nuf said
They are trying their best to ruin another prospect
Laval working on Mailloux’s defensive game, not getting as much time on PP
you guys are too impatient and wanna trade mailloux for bags of puck smh
Its no secret Mailloux was being shopped in multiple deals this summer. I'm doubtful he will ever be a main piece for the Habs, its possible ownership just wants to move on from the situation.
He’s getting sick of the bus. That’s it
I don't know how you can get excited about a player that will be scoring 10-15g 30-40 points. He's going to be solid, but excited the way people are??!
Mtl is going to trade Logan M. to make up for picking him in the first round. And on that day I'm going to be as pissed as when they traded PK for the human pylon.
That humain pilon is now a Hall of Famer !!!
Maybe it's time to trade Mailloux... He has great value and I'm sure many teams would pay for such high upside.
I don't think his value is as high as you think. Certainly, his value is down quite a bit now during this AHL slump. Not the time to trade him.
if you wanna trade mailloux whos replacing him on the right side?
Just wanted to say. I watch a few mtl hockey related shows on TH-cam and all of a sudden your 10 minute uploads started popping up on my fyp. I love the format and the content, keep up the good work Mr Starr and company.
3.5 for 4. The only risk is health issues in the long term, A. K. A concussions.
If not for Demidov, Mailloux would be wearing an Anaheim jersey right now. Don't see him having a future with Montreal, adding Carrier certainly cements that I think. As for Evans, HuGo has had two years to extend him...why haven't they already? 🤔
Certain fans/media have been selling us Mailloux as a futur Weber type player ever since he got drafted...but he might likely just be a big right D with a boomimg slapshot but also with serious defensive flaws !!!
It was reported he was in the Necas deal as-well. Mailloux + 21 if not for Hage. I'm not sure he ever plays fulltime for the habs, Ownership might want to move on from the situation.
those mtl media man no wonder ppl dont wanna play for us
I disagree. Thonas Harley spent 3 years in the miners before hitting the nhl. There’s time. Carrier doesn’t cement anything, we’re trying to get better, Mailloux is young and shouldn’t have a prominent role for a couple of years. We’re way too reactionary as fans.
@@powers1500The only thing anyone ever compares to Weber was the shot, nobody at any point said he was a Weber type. He’s a very good defenseman, defenseman take years to develop. Thomas Harley spent 3 years in the ahl and now he’s going off. They’re similar players.
Trading for a new defenceman instead of calling him up was a real gut punch, and amounts to piss poor asset management.
Absolutely not. You can still call him up.
they still have a ld playing on the wrong side, i expect Maillioux is paired with jackeye next year, up to maillioux at that point
@@HabsTypeBeat And put him where exactly...?? Calling him up just to sit someone else is, again, piss poor asset management. Thanks for playing...
@@noeffenway7616 So trading a bad defenseman for a good one is piss poor asset management? That’s a really smart take. Got any more? Just in case you didn’t realize Savard isn’t going to be here long. There’s your spot.
David Savard will be getting a 1st + prospect for sure. RHD, Stanley Cup Champion and is also a get shot blocker who is only making 3.5 Million, every Stanley Cup Contender will be going after this guy.
Evans is the modern day Guy Carbonneau - trading him would be a colossal mistake
Are you saying Danault is better than Evans? I'll take Evans over Danault all day long. He's better than Danault offensively, and similar in the faceoff circle.
Trading Evans, could look exactly like Lars Eller for Washington.
Thank you Sean! I cannot understand the trade Evans side. It's not like he's this phenomenal player we can't live without. It's loosing another center we can't afford. We don't even have the minimum required of 4 centermen as it is. Dvo is not coming back. And we should trade another one?? This is my question for the pro-trade crowd: who go we replace him with?? Going into next season with 3 rookie centermen with no nhl experience would be catastrophic. This is the same issue that has plagued us for 25 years. When you are missing players at a key positions like C, you must sometimes overpay to fix the problem.
Okay let me say 1 thing We got Lanny right he's got 7 $8,000,000 a season And you're telling me that Jake Evans is not up to par$4,000,000 is perfect for that guy 8 4,000,000 for sure I think Spin some more Some money they're getting a higher salary Prices coming off next year 10,000,000Give me the 4Thank you
Also I'm sorry I am 160 year old man that's much Canadians since the late 60s early 70s when Kenny Jordan just came on the league and ₩5 Stanley cups over This team is going to be Stanley cup 2627 season Guarantee guarantee guaranteed Cheap cheap player stop giving these players away You're leak You're you know I got a feeling they're keeping them Thanks again
These guys that are in rockets Like he said Jake Evans already has it he's up there he's proven in these come on there's no brainer keep the guy and give him $4,000,000 thank you
4 million a year for 3 yeara😊
I am IN
Another banger Shaun 🎉
Happy New Year brother!!
Evans even without the scoring is our PK king. Can't trade him.
Good defensive centers just can’t be found. Don’t trade him.
Sign Evans and watch him become the old Evans.
4x5 is fine. in 2-3 years it's a very tradeable contract if someone starts pushing him out.
one caveat: If a team offers an A+ center prospect for Evans KH will have to consider it. Don't trade him for picks or a reclamation project though.
$4 mils for 5 years for a 4th liner, it is way to much money...the guy has never produce a 30 point season yet in the NHL. Don't forget that Beck and Hage are likely more talented and will join the team within the next 2 years !!!
@@powers1500 2 years is probably wishful thinking for Hage. 3-4 years is more likely.
You needs vets, you cant just always have rookies and young guys and picks, and Evans and Armia are not old yet. Keep em please.
