If i were a boise state fan the most concerning thing to me would be that all of the media insiders for boise state keep bringing up fiestat bowl game magic, underdog mentality and other shit that doesnt actually matter on December 31st 2024.
Penn state has a new offensive and defensive coordinator that stacey collins never worked with.
yall touchin some shmoneyyyyy love to see it
Indiana only lost by 10 points. Everyone is being too dramatic
Football games in playoffs are either amazing or lopsided. It doesn’t seem to matter if it is high school playoffs, NFL or CFP. Momentum is crazy important but once you get rolling it is hard to comeback. If SMU had been able to not make the picks early on they would have believed they were in it. It would have kept the game closer. The same thing is possible for us against Penn State. If we can keep it close early we will be ok. If one team stumbles early it will be hard to comeback.
New set up looks great. Good job
Also...fat boy sticker. Good choice. Do you have multiple cameras recording the whole time and then you're piecing the scenes together? What cameras are you using? RIP Owl
@@jordhansen RIP Owl. We actually had the owl there while we were filming with the new cameras. It was bawling the entire time. You could hear the resentment and anger. osb tiny cameras were the ones we bought.
Hey, dummy!!!!!!! Do you realize why the SMU quarterback was scared 😱 and running for his life??????? My Nittany Lions elite defense!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE ARE, enough said
Malachi going to ND
No dude. OR run D is weak.
Plus this PSU team is way better than that OU team back then
Umm this isn’t that weak OU D back in 2010
Danny Kanel is an idiot most times, but not this time
Actually there are quite a few ppl giving you the chance
Dude we are 7-0 in the Fiesta Bowl
SMU would spank Boise
You think you match up best against us? Lmao stupid af
Compared to Ohio State, Georgia, Texas, Oregon (who beat us both), yeah, I’d rather play Penn State. Penn State is a great program, nothing wrong with being a rung down from the truly elite
Hey dumbasses, Illinois is ranked 20th
Even if SMU took a 7-0 lead. It wouldn’t have lasted
PSU 42-17, Jeanty less than 100 yards Ummm 7-0 and won a National championship in the Fiesta 2017 last fiesta bowl over Wash
You complaining about schedule of B10 or SEC? Com’on man BSU played UNLV, Nevada, San Jose St, GA Southern? GTFOH
Noones complaining or saying they’re equal. But the narrative that a team plays some murderous schedule just cuz they’re in the Big 10 is a joke. Indiana beat 1 team with a winning record all season and made the playoff. Penn State to a lesser extent benefitted from an unbalanced schedule. It’s more ragging on the super conferences and the narrative than your team. Penn state is very good no doubt, and is favored for a reason. Gonna be a tough game for sure
How can the dude in a Boise St. sweatshirt talk about CFP when he doesn’t know if it’s the first round or quarterfinal, where SMU is in Texas etc. credibility is shot
Not trying to be a jerk but you guys seem like a bunch of homers “never bet against BSU in fiesta bowl” Penn st is 7-0🤦🏻♂️. You are not gonna hold Penn st under 20 points and obviously there is bias here but nice breakdown. Penn st is gonna go all in to stop jeanty I think they will succeed tons of respect tho
Thanks for not being a jerk. Right after I said it, I remembered PSU’s Fiesta Bowl record. Whoops! Also, we are a bunch of homers.
You actually nailed it. Appreciate you listening, and yes, we are a bunch of homers. Us three have been friends since grade school, born and raised in Boise. We all have “real” jobs. Started doing this last year just for fun. We’re excited to play Penn State this week!
I will say we do try to be objective. I don’t think any of us predicted we’d beat Oregon, and I know one or two of us predicted a loss at UNLV. I certainly wouldn’t put money on Boise winning, but I think it will be a good game, and I think we can win. We will need to play our best game, and likely need PSU to not play theirs. Win turnovers etc. we’re excited for the challenge
Listening to you guys is more than painful. Listening to talk about Bosie like you could compete at the top is so laughable. If you were in the Big Ten or SEC you would be in the bottom half of the conference. The red head (sorry, don't know his name) has the worst logic of all of you. Flip the home sight, and the other team wins? Seriously?
Red head? Maybe we need better cameras. Glad that you watched though. Pain is weakness leaving the body. So Ive heard.
You’re worse than SMU in every position minus the RB. It Is a blood bath 45-10 PSU
Did any of you play football or know football in any way?
No but we watch TH-cam clips a lot. So, figure that counts
@@brandonminert6169 haha I appreciate that - I too do this -
And BTW, the worse loss of the first weekend was the beat down and yes I said Beat Down that the Nittany Lions handed SMU. Not Tennessee's loss😂
Guys, no offense intended, but you can't judge a player or Team based on their performance in One Game. Kinda lazy, just saying
Penn State is a POWERHOUSE when they run on all cylinders.
News flash… ANYONE is a powerhouse when they run on all cylinders.
@@Idaho27 No, they're not. I'm talking Elite Powerhouse-- Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, Georgia Class.
Unless they’re not running on all cylinders…
@@Idaho27 Penn State was 30 yards and one score away from being ranked #1 In The Nation going into the playoffs. What planet are you vacationing on?
Complaining about disrespect and the ginger dropping Sandusky jokes all within a 3 minute span. Amazing. Also....every Boise St podcast I have watched has said the same thing...."their passing game just does not scare me". First, I've never heard so much confidence from a fanbase whose team is ranked 113th vs the pass. This is the ultimate FAAFO moment coming your way.
Our pass defense is bad. Could easily be the reason we lose.
gonna so fun to come back and read posts like this after penn loses
@@bretscherer4926Penn Quakers?
@@RSeakerPenn lost to Princeton for the final game of the year in the Ivy League.
Both OC and DC are new this year so neither were there when Collins was.
Interesting. There goes any traction on the insider knowledge argument.
You guys are going to be so shocked when you see Abdul Carter and the crew. Also, BTW, over 500 yards in a dome vs Oregon and is BSU a first round talent like Allar is?
I don’t think we’ll be shocked. I think PSU is very good, and clearly are the favorite. I do think we’ll put up a good fight and have a chance to win this game. We have to play very well to win this game, no doubt
@MarkMoss-ql3wx my comment was geared towards the fact that these guys make it look like PSU has nothing. Didn't even mention Abdul Carter
Boise fan …. I can see how good Penn is and they have the recruits and overall better talent. That being said Boise has it in them to find a way to keep it close. We are for sure underdogs but I hope we find a way to make it a game
You’re right. The power houses of San Jose state, and Nevada, and UNLV, and San diego state, and Wyoming, and Oregon State are far superior to anything in the B1G…. CLOWNS…… if you want to be taken serious, be serious people.
I’m not sure anyone said that. Noones doubting the Big 10 is deeper than the MW. Hell, they get what, $50 million TV revenue compared to $3 million. But let’s not pretend it’s murderer’s row either. This shouldn’t even be a game. Your head coach makes more than our entire staff combined. But it will be a game and we’ll see who wins.
Wow boys…. SMU lost because SMU just made mistakes. Not a damn bit of PSU causing issues. Are you serious???
Soooo weather and the crowd caused SMU to crap their pants… not the team they played. The crowd and the weather…… not the D line pressure. The crowd and the weather……
How did Sinbad make the wall?
Big part of my childhood. 😂😂 Who would you like to see on the wall?
@@matt_lamm Sinbad singing about deserving McDonalds is one of my favorite movie moments.
Guys, Madsen has been so bad so often. That's why Penn is favored. Chances are, they're going to stack the box and Madsen will crumble. We lose the game and a bunch of players transfer. But Madsen will stay and ruin our season next year. Dickey will then leave, as likely as not, and BSU will never get into a power conference. All because midwit Danielson and old grumpy retard Koetter decided to play it safe with Madsen instead of taking a chance with Nelson.
Chris Marshal…… Marshall? ….Marshall??….. Marshall??……
Lol, you can tell the kid with the blue hoodie knows absolutely nothing about football. SMU QB didn't give Penn State 3 touchdowns. Penn Start forced those Ints by 1. Being in the correct play and reading it. 2. Pressure created by the front. Forced quick bad decisions On the run.. Sure, things like weather, home field, etc. factored in. But they certainly weren't just gifts. And SMU was averaging 39 points per game. Penn States starters held them to 3 pts. Their running back who averages like 102 a game with a 5.7 avg. Penn State starters held him to roughly 40 yards and under 3.0 Avg. On offense they had not one but two running backs avg 6.4 yards per carry. To put that into a perspective. You'll understand. Jeanty avgs 7.3 yards per carry. He does this against garbage teams. Like Hawaii, Wyoming, San Diego state. Singleton and Allen each at a 6.4 avg against the #4 rush defense in the country. 😂 That's not impressive?
You care too much. We’ll see
Bsu wins by 3 home runs. Maybe a free throw as well.
Has no clue what round in the playoffs is in, no idea where SMU campus is, TX somewhere. He bought that sweatshirt on his way tot the broadcast at the student bookstore.
@@markbost5372 They have good rates on clothing.
@@markbost5372 bought it at walmart. Bookstore pricing is out of control.
Boise 31-21. Mattison has a tough TD at the goal line after a Linehan big play for the win
Comment of the week potential for this one 😂
My score prediction doesn’t really reflect the comment but I couldn’t resist. Sorry Brandon
Are you guys this stupid to think SMU would have had a win in their field against PSU? Look at the level of talent between the two teams. You will see NY eve what they will do against Boise
Only one of us said that, and I agree, not sure I agree (as I said). I will say if SMU scores on that first drive, and their QB doesn’t completely crap himself, it’s a closer game. But I agree, PSU wins that game 8 or 9 times out of ten. They were the better team.
Nice last episode of 2024 fellas. You were a nice Blue and Orange shaded gift for me this year. It is dark times when I can’t find some boise state TH-cam content to wash out the noise in my head. BNN. Bronco Country. Jay’s Sports Bar. KTIK. Bronco Bleymeir. Or however you spell that. And this year I got Shirts and Skins! I appreciate the combination of factual reporting, hot takes, rivaling opinions, and commentary that reminds me of just being with my friends in a bar after a game or something. With less cursing of course. Keep it classy. 👊
Sorry but Big 10 football is just different. Penn State is both big and fast also loaded with 4 and 5 star recruits. 45-17
Could be. I don’t think we’ve ever played against a big 10 team or anyone with a 5 star player 🤷♂️ Cough ***oregon *** cough
so boise has slow, small players? do your research before you embarrass yourself…too late
The reason SMU had 3 interceptions was bc PSU defense was in the QBs face constantly and we were switching up coverage looks after the snap to confuse him. It wasn't bc of anything else. He was running scared all day.
True, I also think the crowd played a factor. Not going to be like that in the fiesta bowl though
Singleton and Allen each had almost 200 yards rushing against Oregon. Do you think that's not explosive, do you think your D can handle that?
Math must not be your thing. One back had 120something and the team had 300. Long way from 200 each.
I think BSU needs to come out fast and strong. I think we go deep (with completion) on play 1 or 2. We need to get Mad Dog into the game quickly. Short quick passes, a few long, and of course, get Ash opportunities
I'll keep saying it. PSU is 31-1 in games they've been favored since 2022. The 1 loss was against Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl when there were 8 starters who had undisclosed opt-outs. The national media created this narrative that, "PSU can't win big games." This idea that only BSU will have a chip on its shoulder is fool's gold. PSU is constantly disrespected as a B1G second-class citizen and Sandusky jokes. What the national media leaves out is that they haven't closed the deal against Oregon, OSU, and Michigan when they're ranked in the top 5. Like SMU, BSU is not ranked in the top 5. Like SMU, BSU is not favored to win either. See: See the PAC-12 champions Utah Utes in the 2022 Rose Bowl who were also overly confident and got smoked in 3 quarters. Yes, we have something to prove too.
Good input. Would also add that I’m not sure Boise State’s team is over confident. I do think they will give PSU a much better game than SMU did. We’re homer fans, but yeah, I give us a shot to win. I will say this, no one in Boise is selling travel packages to the Orange bowl yet the way they are over in Pennsylvania. So there’s at least SOME overconfidence there. I get it tho, we’re just a little MW school in Idaho with a blue field. Hard to not be confident if you’re a team like Penn State. Looking forward to a great game.
@@MarkMoss-ql3wx I don't think the BSU team is overconfident. It sounds like both coaches and players are realistic. It's just that as a PSU fan when it's Ohio State or Oregon week, we approach it like it's a mountain to climb. The entire discussion is around, "What has to happen for PSU to win the game?" Even when we say, "We think OSU has a hole in their Oline that can be exploited," we still hedge on our confidence. There's a difference between saying, "I'm confident in my team and think we can win" versus "The other team isn't as good as advertised and we can beat them." That's where I'm saying objectively speaking, the paths for BSU to win are significantly fewer than PSU. The problem with the Oregon game is that PSU has that film and has been studying it for weeks so transitive property may not work.
I definitely think the game will be closer than PSU/SMU. At times PSU can struggle against the run. But they'll give up 85 total points in the second half all season. They figure things out. Plus they have their own running game that causes problems. Personal i think Singleton is the best back in this game. He averages 6.4 a carry. Does it against far better competition. But he shares the load so his numbers arent eye popping. And Allar has shown he can sling it. Penn State can be just as dangerous on offense as Oregon or Ohio State. They just aren't Consistent. And let's not forget. Oregon put up 37 on BS in week 2. Close game first half. PSU blows them out in the second. Going to be like 45-20.
@@Pcbdude82 I think the first half will be closer than SMU because PSU is a team that prefers to crockpot than microwave opponents. They'll literally spend the entire first quarter feeling out the opponent on both sides of the ball, then ramp it under in the 2nd quarter, adjust at halftime, and play elite in the 3rd quarter. PSU will default to whatever style they think is best for the game which is why we saw the passing explosion against USC and Oregon. The thing that's not being discussed enough is that in the Oregon game, Madsen was 17/40 for 148 yards, 1 TD, and 7 yards rushing. PSU struggles with mobile QBs who can throw on the run. And Oregon had 3 fumbles and lost 2. BSU was +2 on the turnover battle, Jeanty ran for 3 TDs on 200 all-purpose yards, but the QB passed for 43% completion with a 3.7 average. So the lesson learned from the Oregon game to me isn't that BSU can hang with PSU. It's that PSU can't turn the ball over twice, hold Jeanty to 125 yards and two rushing TDs, and make Madsen win the game.
If you aren’t selling travel packages for a possible game that is not far off, you better hope there are reservations available if you win.
Just like I told the SMU guys - COME BACK DOWN TO EARTH!!! Penn State by 20+.
I can see being Ohio State and Michigan’s lil bro for so long makes a fanbase salty
@@itskeaton7249Michigan only branched away from PSU during the cheating years. Other than that they’ve largely been worse than PSU. Obviously ignoring years crippled by sanctions
BSU 34 -24
