Hands down the BEST Boise State podcast by far. Love the banter, love that there's no ads, and that when you pronounce Boise State it doesn't sound like Cajun Voodoo mama Juju saying "Boys day".
If Maddog can dial in those long balls he will be awesome. Just hasn't been able to routinely hit that streak. I think we had at least 2 times last game where he overthrows a wide open receiver deep.
You guys are so much fun to watch. I love when Brandon makes mistakes and cracks himself up. Love that Coach D is always on the gas! Malachi is actually getting to play and throw. I think just an invite to the Heisman is a huge win for Jeanty and BSU.
I was watching the game with a buddy who doesn’t watch Boise State football very often. Late into the third-quarter he asked why Jeanty was still in the game. I stared him straight in the eyes and said, “We’re gonna run to win”
Great show. Thanks for featuring one of my comments. One thing you made me aware of is how boring my YT handle was...so I've officially changed it. In regards to why SDSU doesn't have a better program. Most SoCal talent goes to USC or UCLA. Also, outside of some diehard fans, the locals really aren't that passionate about college football, (or professional,) for that matter. I know several people that let their season tickets lapse due to cost and interest.
Oh yeah; love the intro 🔥. Good point on the San Diego region and why SDSU should be in the top 25 every year if they were able to recruit in their own backyard. They have some major high school competition there and a lot of NFL players (Reggie Bush went to Helix HS) have came out of there.
The only disappointment (beyond Jeanty breaking a couple long ones) was the backup DB’s gave us those cheap touchdowns. Hopefully they got some tape and can now be trained with real live reps.
We’ve only heard 2nd hand stories, but from several sources. And it was about as dysfunctional as you can imagine. There’s a reason basically the same roster as last year looks completely different. Biggest surprise to me is that SD hung around as long as he did under the last regime
I honestly feel like those short kicks were a intentional simulation for our defense of "something went wrong and we have to get a stop with limited time and the game on the line" in a real game that we knew we had in the bag. Just my thoughts because otherwise it makes no sense to do that 😂
Why is San Diego not dominating the League.. Comes down to one thing, care factor. Boise States community cares about the success of the program, San Diego's does not.
I was actually to Mark's right. He's not good with directions. We're working on the camera setup for future episodes so you no longer have to live in confusion. 😆🤣As always, thanks for watching!
We have to talk about Koetter. I think the man is overrated. He got Jeanty injured by running him into a brick wall over and over again at UNLV and similar this week. If you just want a battering ram, why not give Crowe some more carries? Is Madsen so bad that he couldn't throw against a stacked box at unlv? There are three options 1 Koetter an overrated old tempermental nad sack 2 Madsen sucks 3 our WRs suck
Wrong on all 3. You must be watching a different team. OR, you are a Madsen hater/Malachi lover and will say anything to disparage the team until Malachi plays. Either way, Koetter is doing better than you ever would!
@brandonminert6169 I mean, Koetter got us annihilated in that championship game against Fresno last time he was here. Granted, he did have Taylen Greenhorn as his qb
@@buckinfrognco Yeah that game was bad. Taylen played about as poorly as anyone could have ever guessed. I actually think Dirk is one of our greatest strengths this year.
@brandonminert6169 I just don't know what was wrong in the UNLV game with the passing game against a stacked box. I get that qbs and wrs struggle sometimes, but it seems like ours do so against every team with a pulse. Trouncing SDSU did nothing to make me feel better about Madsen. Hedrick got better throughout his big year, so maybe Madsen will do the same. But right now, there is something ugly and wrong with the passing game imo. And I am not happy about our heisman machine being used like a blunt instrument. Shocker: a wristwatch breaks if you use it to hammer in a nail.

I agree!
Thanks for watching, Dustin! Glad you enjoy the show.
This is cracking me up. I was at this game with Gabe Linehan. I'm forwarding this to him. More Gabe talk!
This is awesome! Glad we could take a minute to chat about Gabe.
I love that Mad Dog is actively going through his progressions. It just seems like he makes good decisions and fast.

Nice! Could have seemed a little creepy... Especially if you were holding a knife...
😂

Surf city? Is that Nampa? Caldwell?
@@matt_lamm Neither. It's Emmett, of course. Ok, it's actually Huntington Beach.
About time y’all mentioned Linehan, he’s been huge all year 😂. Thanks for giving something to laugh at while cleaning out the garden for the winter.
Linehan was amazing😂
You never know which former player Brandon is going mention. Wouldn't be a surprise if he thought Titus Young was still on the team.
Good job.
Damn. Malachi’s throws were so damn smooth …. I know MadDog did great but Malachi’s throws were just cold 🥶 🏈
All I'm sayin, is this is a great show and I can make sure you get more cookies! Say the word!
The real question is how do we get Kyle Brotzman to raise thr chaos flag this week for sure we owe him that

JFR threw one pass last year for a completion.
The only disappointment (beyond Jeanty breaking a couple long ones) was the backup DB’s gave us those cheap touchdowns. Hopefully they got some tape and can now be trained with real live reps.
I look for Ashton the throw a pass this year. Holani did, two years ago.
I would love this! Maybe in the Nevada game if we're up big.
JFR threw and completed a pass on 4th down in the CSU game last year that moved the sticks. Dude is nails.
Just barely noticed the person on the couch creeping in the background.
I didn’t care that you guys didn’t talk about the 8:00 drive lol I’m so curious about all the behind the scenes Avalos stuff

Nathan = G.O.A.T..... kidding love the show
Look, we get it. Everyone loves Nathan... blah, blah, blah. 🤣🤣
PAC needs a Texas school for recruiting
But which one? Texas State?
@@MarkMoss-ql3wx The only one left unfortunately
Parking,,..Juanita... LDS Church at the end of the Road. Free parking. Do not park at the institute
I think Brandon tried that first but there was some event going on at the church.
This is true. It’s my normal spot

Mark who are you looking at? Fix the way you guys are lined up on screen. 😂
Good question. Matt was to my left, and Brandon straight across from me… maybe the camera that’s set up in the middle was a bit off …? 🤷♂️

Our fake punt was revenge for theirs. Pure and simple.
