Heavy metal open is awesome. ~@15:50, I think the PAC will probably want 9 teams for an 8-game round robin in conference slate, and 4 OOC games, which means 3 teams will probably be selected and given that Memphis is the best option, they'd want an eastern partner which is probably why Tulane or a Texas school is on the table. ~@ 20:00 Basketball is a net loss as of now with the 6Pac, but add Memphis and potentially Gonzaga and/or Saint Mary's...then you have a stew going. ~@28:00 Middling P4 schools will schedule lowly G5 schools because they're winnable. When KU scheduled UNLV, the Rebels were garbage juice quality. Middling P4s will avoid the Boise States of the world because they know they are likely to lose.
I would love to see either a OSU/BSU rivalry. We’ve played each other 10 times for a competitive 6-4 record. Either this or a rivalry comparable to the MLS cascadia cup between Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver. In our case, OSU, BSU, and WSU. Team with the most wins, holds the title for whichever we decide to call the rivalry series. Ex: OSU has a 2-0 record vs BSU/WSU, they win the series. I believe this would be the first 3 way rivalry series in NCAA. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Georgia Tech also used to be in the SEC and left due to Bear Bryant over signing players at Alabama. It wasn't against the rules, but GT's AD wasn't having it. I wonder if the school and alums wish they could have that decision back. (Oops 😬)
This is HUGE for Boise. The PAC will target Tulane, Memphis, UTSA or Rice and UNLV. It is such a huge leap from the MWC and borderlines the B12 in quality. As for paying…PAC pays penalty fees only. That is $43m in total. The MWC schools pay their exit fees. There is still $22m left in PAC war chest. That money will be used in an attempt to lure top end AAC schools who have smaller financial buyouts and no penalty clauses to raid the conference. Tulane and Memphis have already hired an external agency to analyze the move to PAC12. Doesn’t mean it will happen, but it’s lining up as if it will. Lastly, the media value of a PAC12 with OSU, Wazzu, Boise, Fresno, SDSU, Colorado State, UNLV (if they can untangle from Nevada), Memphis, Tulane, and say Rice is in the $14-16m a year value. Your boy J.Dickey knows this.
I hear from other pods that they plan on bringing in other MW schools, so much so that it might cause the league to dismember and thus not have to pay any fees, basically just taking the top 8 teams
Interesting…. Seems like if that was option 1, they would have already done that. If their first options don’t pan out, they can always get anyone from the MW. I’m sure they’re all begging to get in
Im good with whatever media partner we get as long as the money is right. Just please god let it not be peacock 😂 that production was horrible. What do you think the chances are we get to work out our own tv deal for home games? It'll be interesting to see what the power dynamic in this new group is. Do you think they'll try and ban the blue uni's on The Blue like the MW did initially? Also the rock intro is the best so far horns down er i mean hands down er i mean horns up? 🤘🤘 Love the pod
Maybe I am a scared but this seems like a silly move. We are leaving stability and gambling on what? We play all the schools that beat us from time to time and don’t have a conference. I mean bet on us, maybe we get better and can beat all these teams constantly which makes our SOS stronger but if we beat the shit out of each other then what. Then we all have a 8-6 schedule or whatever. I don’t know if this is gonna work like we think it is. Ehhhh. Maybe it will!
Not sure the lyrics about our pod are going to offend anyone, but I’m always surprised how there’s always someone that makes it their mission to be offended by something
..."Air Force, thank goodness" 😂🔥😂🔥😂
Bring back the old intro; that was a banger.
Heck yes!!! This intro is KILLER! Best yet!
That intro is the one to beat for sure!

That was a weak cold punishment, Brandon. What is this, Baywatch? lol Prediction: Broncos going to put up 42 in the first half this Saturday.
Real suffering occurred 😂😅😊
The pac 12 now are actually regionally better for boise than mountain west
You guys have to come up with a name, new tradition and the symbol of the rivalry of your big brother Wazzu

Metal is offensive to many. You either like it or hate it.
