My family is basque and every time we go to Spain they think we are crazy for eating cereal with cold milk. They don’t have like big refrigerators, they have like dorm beer fridges. They also weren’t fans of our baseball hats. Europe is a fun experience. Having them come to America was wild. Took them rafting and they kept asking if a bear was going to get us. 😅
it is interesting. They seem to shop at local specialties and more frequently. Like bakeries and butcher shops. We go to the grocery store and buy as much as possible to not go back.
@@brandonminert6169 That’s true! My family seems to enjoy the social aspect of the local market. Fresh produce and meats and gossip. The best was hearing old ladies in dresses passing gas. My Americanized grandma “Amuma” would shame them and they would say “es naturaley.” 🤣
~37:43 could the offense doing so well during the scrimmage be that Koetter is just that much better of a coordinator than Chinander? As in, Chinander is, by all accounts, a good FBS DC, but Koetter is a world class OC and by default the deck will be stacked against the defense.
It's good to see Shane on your show! He's a good guy. Ill be subscribing. What happened to Harsin at Auburn? I've never gotten a clear answer from anyone.
@@wapiti128 it turned south fairly quick. He took over during covid and there was some controversy, but ultimately they think he did a poor job recruiting. There was a coup attempt at one point. Rumors spread that he had an affair with a staff member. Turned out to be false, but it was a difficult storm to weather. Ultimately, it seemed that the boosters and fans wanted someone from the south to take the program back. Wild. It would be great to hear his side of the story one day.
What’s that quote…??? If you are leading and no one is following you, you’re just taking a walk. He seemed doomed from the get go because the community didn’t have his back. They didn’t want to follow. Also, not sure how accurate it is, but I heard that he tried to take the “blue collar mentality” to that school and they didn’t want any of that. A lot of primadonnas not wanting to be pushed. Again I don’t know if that is true but it was in the rumor mill. Guys not showing up for meetings or certain practices. Tough situation. Probably took some years off his life with the stress of it all. It’s crazy how all these coaches and ex players are landing back in Boise. Having two ex NFL coaches at practice AND Chris Peterson. Wild!
I wish you guys had asked SWR if he knows how Ajayi or Deayon are doing. I'm sure I could figure it out after an hour online, but I'm pretty sure both didn't come back and don't live anywhere near Boise. Those pre-Rypen teams were loaded due to all the Fiesta Bowl exposure.
This is one of the best casts you’ve ever done!!! Thanks
Thx for bringing SWR. One of my favs.
Our pleasure!
Love your podcast! My favorite every week. Keep up the great work
Thank you, Steven!
Thank you! Will do!

Good question. I always struggle when one side is better than the other before playing different teams.
Great show! SWR was/is a rockstar!
Great get!! Love SWR!!! 🔥

Which part? There were a few events that are memorable.
@@letsgoshirts I don't know any of them. I think he's a great coach so I was surprised he didn't last that long down there... but why?

@@brandonminert6169 Thanks for the reply. I have not heard that before.

Cooper Jones is just 5' 6". Might return kicks
I heard it was MDM , Mad Dog Madison . So say’eth the OC himself. Buuut…., we will see what happens.
They're making him earn it, but earn it he will
I'm good with whoever they pick for starting qb. I don't get why all of bronco nation can't get on board with that. 🤔
@@wapiti128 best mam for the job I always say. Don’t care who it is.
JD is doing other local podcasts now? Mark must have really pissed him off.
