Do you know how long the 5% is for. I heard it is only for 3 months or does it depend on the Market. I want to open one.
Chime is a good bank but must make improvement and major improvement in changing its stupid idea on it works the credit builder. It totally out wack and a most illiterate way how they allow it to be used only once and if a person decided to close their for a emergency reason or good cause and come later in the future to reopen their account which the would direct you back to you old account but they will not let people have the credit builder card so it is bullshit there . They need updating and improvement no doubt there. Other than that they are good so far. SO CHIME FIX YOUR FOOLISH RULES AND ALLOW PEOPLE TO HAVE THEIR CREDIT BUILDER CARD BACK WHEN THEY DECIDE THEY WANT IT. Its our decision and our account.
Chime is good, but withdrawal is a pain in the buttocks
Thanks for a great video. So, I have all my accounts added into Monarch, including PayPal and Venmo. My PayPal account is linked to my Am Ex credit card, My Venmo is linked to one of my main checking accounts. Of course, my Am Ex and Main checking account are also linked to Monarch. What is happening is that a transaction for my Am Ex and PayPal show up in Monarch and are showing in my budget each as separate transactions so in my budget it shows having spent double... does this make any sense? I am not sure how to handle that unless I just don't include my PayPal and Venmo accounts. I really want to include them. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.
Been following your channel for a little while now and really love your videos! Acorns actually has a waiver on their $6 & $12 accounts if you set up direct deposit of $250 or more... This is copied from their website... and in my opinion makes this a really good option: Customers who set up a direct deposit of at least $250 per calendar month into their Acorns Checking account will receive a subscription waiver for as long as they have direct deposit set up and meet eligibility requirements. This waiver will be applied to either the $6 or $12 tiers as long as you have the Mighty Oak Card and an active direct deposit set up.
How about Synchrony bank? If you have extra money, their CD rates are not bad. Their HYSA yield is reasonably high and good for parking money for any needed cash flow.

I love wealth front 🥰 been using it for a few months now. If y’all use my code to sign up we’ll both get 5.50% interest instead of 5%. Use this link to open a Wealthfront Cash Account. Once you fund it, you'll get a 0.50% APY boost! www.wealthfront.com/c/affiliates/invited/AFFC-F1CQ-GKAJ-IKBO
Thank you
You're welcome!!
I'm new to Sofi and I'm trying to replicate my Ally buckets where I can select from an external bank to deposit directly in my vaults but it doesn't let me. The option to select my vaults is greyed out. It looked like what you need to do it is transfer from an external bank into your Sofi Checkings or Savings, then set up another transfer from the Sofi Checking or Savings into the vault. Is that right? It doesn't seem efficient.
You're right - it isn't the most efficient. You can set up auto transfers into your vaults, but it has to be from within your sofi checking/savings. There are a lot of options within sofi, but not much automation from external accounts. Ally savings is the only one I know of where you can automate from external accounts directly into your buckets.
first of all thanks a lot one thing i don't have clear when i downloading and saving a copy ' it comes without any category how do i add some categories which can reflect in the expenses line
That's odd. Did you purchase my template? It should have all the basic categories plus room for additional categories. Email me at brittany@brittanyflammer.com and I can send you the template or work with you to make sure everything is right.
Next time could you bring out the instructions in bigger words
I'll try to make them bigger next time. The problem is, they are small on their website and if I enlarge them too much it gets blurry...but I could make them a little bigger. Thanks!
Try Empower here: personalcapital.sjv.io/bflammer
There always seems to be an issue to not get credit. Worst app to use.
What's your favorite that you teased at the end of the video
Good question. It depends on what you're looking for. Probably Sofi and Wealthfront are my two favorite. I'm actually in the process of editing the video with details on them right now - it will be available on my channel later this week.
Do you have a video on when a month is not matching up and categories are overspent how you attack that? Cause it sucks if you just wanna correct the budget that particular month (cause something came up), but not future months' budgets.
Yes - that's a great question. When you create your budget it's only a plan and nothing ever goes 100% according to plan. Inevitably you overspend in some categories. In Monarch, if you overspend, you can pull money from another budget category. I don't have any videos showing you my overspending months, because I don't actually use Monarch. I have lots of clients that use it so I'm familiar with it, but can't share my personal budget b/c I don't use it - if that makes sense. I do share my personal budget each month and I do an end of month budget report. Inevitably I go over in some category each month. You can see how I handle that here if you're interested: th-cam.com/play/PLOQUSZVhabsfm01pPb0fOc0htWLkBMuYf.html. Basically, I like to look at the overall spending. Even if I'm over in groceries, maybe I'm under in 1 of my utilities. As long as it balances out I don't worry about it. If I'm over and it doesn't balance out, then I pull money from a savings account. I hope that makes sense.
love chime
Yay! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the info! I’ve found the bucket very helpful. Another downside is when an envelopes are low, the system automatically pulls from the larger envelope. It says: We shifted some things. But if that is actually the envelope you wanted it to go to, you cannot now assign it since there not enough money there due to the auto-assigning!!! I end up transferring funds from savings just to officially assign the money and the try to transfer the remainder fund back to my savings. So confusing
That is confusing. I like the idea of spending buckets...but after months of testing it out I find I don't use them a lot. I prefer to track my spending with a budget and use their savings buckets for sinking funds. Thanks for sharing!

Ynab is my favorite. But I have to find something new because all my banks are dropping Plaid support for security reasons
Plaid is the most popular. I know monarch money offers finicity and Mx support. Off the top of my head I’m not sure about the others.
Robinhood now links to Wealthfront so that was my biggest complaint solved
Yay!
where is the link
bit.ly/startwithswagbucks
I love Everydollar. Free and easy.
Can this be used for IRA’s?
Yes- for traditional, Roth, Sep, and rollover ira’s.
Brilliant idea!
Glad you think so!
Acorn sucks
I’m curious to know what you don’t like about it. It’s not my favorite for robo investing, but I haven’t had major issues with it.
I would like a video on savings goals instead of debt paying goals. I’m confused about the priority system. For example I have 3 goals: 1. Emergency savings (fully funded) 2. House down payment (50% funded) 3. Vacation I would like any surplus money I have to filter into these goals at the end of the month. If I have more expenses than income one month I want that money to be pulled out of one of my savings goals. If I set up a $1500 savings goal for house down payment and $200 for vacation, how will this work? Thanks
Sofi is great!
I'm glad you like it. Thanks for sharing!!
They currently raise their price of it I started since 2018 when I was 22 years old and grow it over time if i was more advanced about stocks back then I would have started investing to old brokers like fidelity. But I might as well stay with acorns for the long term and just stick with the 3 dollar subscription to be honest
Thanks for sharing. I'm glad to hear you've had a good experience with acorns.
Thanks for the video. Do you tag the sinking fund transfers in monarch money as “Transfers”?
There are a couple of ways to handle this. I actually categorize them as an expense, but you could keep them as a transfer if you wanted.
With my BP credit card I get .15 back per gallon.
That's awesome!
Thanks for your reviews! I tried Empower, didn't like that it never updated my linked accounts, sometimes 4 months behind! What app updates on a timely basis. I use a app to just see what I have spent in different buckets monthly
Please send me the link
Here's the link: bit.ly/startwithswagbucks
I live in Utah and I would die to have that low of a mortgage payment! You’re so lucky 😭
We are lucky. We put a huge amount down on our house because we wanted to keep our monthly mortgage under 25% of our take home pay. If we couldn't have done that we'd have bought a smaller house. But, this was our 2nd home and we had equity in our first. Being a first time home buyer now would be hard!
YNAB seems to be increasing their price each year. It’s going up to 109 this fall…
I feel like most of them have done this lately. I know people really like ynab, but that seems like a lot to me.
Right? $20 increase and the only new feature is basically just renaming goals to make it more clear what they actually do.
I want to understand YNAB so bad! I have tried several times and always go back to Everydollar. I get confused when the money carries over to the next month. Trying to watch some of their webinars to finally "get" it! Thank you!❤
How do I actiate gasbuddy card
Here's what their website says: To activate your Pay with GasBuddy card on the web please go to enroll.gasbuddy.com and log in with the email address you enrolled with. From here, you will be prompted to enter the last four digits of your Pay With GasBuddy card, then choose a four-digit Driver ID to be used at the pump
😊😊
Thanks for watching!
Great video! Question, do you use your budgeting spreadsheet along with Monarch together? If so, what is the benefit of using both at the same time?
I don't personally use Monarch Money, just the spreadsheet. I have several clients who use Monarch, so I'm familiar with it and have filmed several videos about it.
Winco is majority cheaper
Definitely love cheaper prices!
Love generic
Yes!!!!
Audio good to me❤
Thanks! I've been testing different microphones
Interesting ❤ Ill go to winco more n check it out
I'd love to know your thoughts after you check it out.

if i have a joint account with my wife can we both have automated deposits from two separate accounts into the one wealthfront account?
Yes you can!
The best bank ever. I don't understand why all banks don't adapt this. They always help me. I love Chime
I'm happy to hear you've had a good experience with them. Me too!
Thanks for the video. Did anyone else notice sound issues with this video? Something seems off. Almost like it's compressed or something.
I hope the video was helpful. I've been experimenting with different microphones in my office trying to get better audio.
