All budgeting apps (the ones I have used) are focused on getting access to your bank accounts. I understand it is to "monitor" the ins/outs of the money but I have always been "suspicious" of that, specially with some of them that actually request your username and password. Would not it be better to focus on where you spend the money by user reporting? and focus on making it easier to "report" the expenses via quick invoices pictures with OCR and speech recognition assisted "orders" to a mobile app? would you use an app with this main focus change?

Those are great points! The apps link to your bank info so you don't have to manually report. As humans we tend to make mistakes/forget to report stuff (especially things on autopay). But the idea of easier reporting with pictures/ocr would probably be interesting to a lot of people.

So it’s Copilot 100% an app without a ‘desktop’ version?

It's 100% app right now. Only on IOS. You can download the app to your desktop and use your computer (as long as it's a mac). But no web interface. Supposedly that's coming in 2024 sometime, but I haven't heard anything about it.
