What Apple quality demands from its Chinese factory VS quality required at a Chinese tire factory are likely wildly different. Apple does not play around. The only advantage to buying a Chinese tire is the cost There is nothing else.
If this is correct, if normal length of premium tyres is 25.000km then devide on 1850 ev tyres last 13,5km that last only aprox 7minuttes driving on the highway. I’m not getting angry, I just find it very stupid 🙄
Whats not made in china in 2024?
I don't cheap out on tires, you effing life depends on them.
is he saying very nicely (indirectly) not to buy chinesh tyres is it ??
Cst, sailun and maxxis are the only decent ones
Almost everything is crap with label "made in China"
Jeep is trash Donot buy this car I trade a brand new wrangler willys For a subaru crosstrek
I have a 21 ID4 RWD Stock hankooks were horrible. Scary in snow. Got these Nov 23 and fantastic In snow and rain
I have fitted tires for far too many years and have talked to many companies representatives. What has been told to me by most of the long standing reps is that factories were set up in China because of the massive savings in costs. Stringent quality control was implemented as they knew there would be a fair percentage of bad tires. This was acceptable as the costs were so low. The destruction of these tires did not always happen and they disappeared through the back door and would reappear somewhere else. Not what was wanted and not good for the company's reputation. Quite a few of the major companies quietly relocated back as costs in China rose and the number of defective tires produced as a percentage of the whole rose. It simply was not cost effective, especially as those defective tires "came" to the market and impacted their sales and reputation. I have checked rims for balance and as a whole most are perfectly balanced. Tyres come in differing grades, 1 goes to the manufacturer of the vehicle as these are perfect , the others will need progressively more balance weights. I have fitted Michelins to S Class rims that need only a few grams on one tyre ! In a set of 4. The tyres were however very expensive. Manufacturers pay next to nothing for tires as if often brings repeated sales to the tire producer. Cheap tires often need considerable weights and I often think the balance dots are just guessed at, these are predominantly Chinese. I find that Korean and Taiwanese tyres are better . Sadly most people who have high end and performance vehicles go cheap on their rubber forgetting that four little patches of rubber makes this all happen. Chinese manufacturers have exploited this and I see lots of cars on inferior tyres supplied in the wider low profile sizes. China can copy tread patterns but compounds that make the tire work are fiercely guarded secrets.. Check out some of the European tire test videos.
I like made in USA
JD power is shit. They manipulate their studies for kickbacks.
Popular brands spend big $ on advertising.
No, don't buy Chinese tires.
Good title... reason being.... Tire prices went up through the roof. Past 4 years .. Uniroyal 4 yr. Ago. $ 115.00. Now. $180.00. $$
Unfortunately this research is fundamentally flawed. The study has been refuted and proven unscientifical. It is not even technically possible for EVs to have a 1850x worse tire particulates. EVs are on average some 25% heavier. if you wear out a tire 25% quicker than that is not 1850x. What are you on?!? You have been duped by the oil lobby or are in on oil profits. My research that oil lobbyist like yourself are 1850x more likely to tell lies.
They don't use brakes first of all and it is never 1800x, utter nonsense. 1800x more mean an EV tire would last a day. Haha. what an id!0t.
This guy doesn't know what he is talking about. If you buy two sets of Chinese made tires, whether Michelin or off-brand, then one of the tires is going to be a defective thumping piece of garbage. We have many vehicles and have regular and snow tires for each, so I buy a lot of tires. The most important criteria for me is it doesn't say " Made in China" on the tire. Your life is too valuable to risk on poor quality tires! Why did you spend all that money on your car to cripple it with junk tires?
Discount Tire guarantees all of their tires. They sell some Chinese tires and all of their tires come with a mileage warranty. I won't buy tires from any other place.
I have winter tires made in China for my car and i think these tires work great.
I also installed 4 winter tires Ironman brand made in China. They work really well .
I just replaced my WR G4's for dry rot cracking of sidewall and tread not with the WR G5 but with the Michelin Cross Climate 2's. Nokian dealer told me I was SOL, 6 year mfg date, 5 year use, 30K miles. Can't risk buying Nokian again. Plus dealer said would give me 20% off but jacked up the price per tire to over $250 each, more expensive than tire being sold elsewhere and more expensive than even the Michelin CC2.
Man, stop dancing around it. The reason Chinese products are cheaper is slave labor. I mean, just say it.
Brought to you by MAGA science.
Why the dreadful background “music”? So distracting. Otherwise an interesting video.
Advanced tyre can adapt with different weather conditions using some technologies such as 4D printing, nano sensors and synthetic metals, rubbers or polymers. Shape-shifting tyres.
Because china make everthing to differrent standards. A tyre made for the phillipenes and the uk may look tĥ same but are differant quality
Tires from China? No thanks.
Tires are one of the most important parts of your vehicle. I can honestly say that I will never buy a tire made in China or a tire from a Chinese company. It is very easy to find the source of where a certain size tire of any manufacturer is made. When I'm searching for a set of tires, I do some research and make a decision based on that research. I do not mind paying a little extra for a LOT of peace of mind.
They don't last long, less grippy and not even cheap compare to Dunlop tires(made in Malaysia). Pay a little bit more get way better tires.
I live in Chinada. Formerly Canada. 🤣🤣. Everything I buy is garbage these days. Made with Slave labour. Greedy western corporations moved their business to China. Off course they lobby the politicians for low tariffs.
Useful, thank you!
people always complain about "shitty chinese products", but they always forget that you pay for what you get. You can reasonably expect 95% performance on something 80% or even 75% normal price, but if you expect 120% performance at 20% the price, that's just stupid and unreasonable.
America tires and Chinese are the same. America spends billions on marketing and need to make that money back
Cheap Chinese craftsmanship!!

Pretty much generalizations though I do agree with the use of Sailuns - that is unless made in Vietnam. When we bought our 5th wheel it came with Power King Towmax, better known as "China Bombs". 5000 miles and 50% worn out plus have 65mph speed rating which in many parts of the US will get you run over by a semi. I replaced them with General HTS. Yes, a bit low on load rating but still exceeded the loaded RVs weight. 50,000 miles later three still looked like the day they were installed and the 4th was a bit edge worn from a misaligned axle (bent). Value priced is cheap and often dangerous and in the long run, not economical if you keep the vehicle for a lengthy time. I will NOT install any tire made in China or Vietnam. If they don't say US, Mexico, Canada, France or Japan, it will not be on my vehicle.
Often the bigger tyre companies hand their designs and even equipment to 'cheaper' companies they own. The rubber compound can be different in the cheaper tyres even if they look like the quality tyre they replicate.
My camper comes with Chinese tires that lasted 8k miles, the tires started ballooning and bulging. I'm glad I caught it before someone got hurt.
happens usually when you drive up hard corners like walkways or in low Speed through Potholes... so usually how you treat the Tire. Also overloading your Camper does the job to destroy Tires.
I don't give a flying f---k and a rolling donut in a dump truck about any of this bullcrap. Thanks to that vile, wretched whole "tricky Dick" Nixon starting in 1972 we Americans have bought the commie Red Chinese the world's largest Air Force. They are about to launch their 4th air craft carrier. That bastard sold out our middle class. How many of our fellow Americans are living in tents. Read the labels, if it says made in China or Vietnam, leave I on the shelf, screw the rich a--holes. What brand of clown is this guy? Is he so totally ignorant of how many men and women have died to rid this planet of communism? We've paying for our demise for 52 years. Very few democracies have lasted over 200 years, look around, we're in trouble.
Great inside analysis, good on U mate
China today is manufacturing high end products like automobiles or high tech bullet trains, after my Yokohamas wear out, next tires will be made in China for me.
At 255/45 R19 for Tesla Y, it is about 84 € or even more than 300 €.
Nothing to do with tyres but just want to comment on the video, it annoys the hell out of me when the presenter talks 'off camera' to the invisible viewer. Just talk the to the camera!
Buy chinese anything and youre supporting their military who has plans of world domination
The bottom line, don't support China. Don't confuse buying tech as the same as buying a basic item like tires. The tire molds can be stolon or sold and reused in China to create a sub standard product that is shipped into the USA with no warranty support from the manufacture they copy.
Things being made in China will absolutely matter the second WWIII kicks off in earnest. Also, saying Apple is the pinnacle of quality is some serious gaslighting. Just look up Louis Rossman on here to see how stupid and fucked their products are...
Don't have a 700hp so won't be driving on summer only tires thanks lol.
My uncle stole the wheels off the local police cars. They are looking for him tirelessly. 😅
😆🙃🙃🙃🙃
I just bought a set of Fullway tires for our car. They are made in Malaysia, have good reviews and the price and quality is amazing. We'll see how they hold up over the next couple years. 😊
Cheaper cuz?..is it true that young, naked children in sweatshops, are making these china tires?
