Good point. We'll have to see how many tire companies come out with specific EV tires, and which ones don't... and then we'll have to see which category lasts longer and actually delivers on the promises made.
I just bought some Continental Contact E tyres. So much for them not going to make any. EV tyres are heavier than standard tyres due to the EV weight and also the EV tyres generally have dampening inside the tyre to make inside the car a lot quieter. So to say they are all the same is Baloney.
A lot of jumbo- jumbo, confusing discourse, it’s all advertising for Continental.
My OEM Continentals on my Tesla Model Y only lasted 24k miles.

My Primacy 4 tyres have just lasted me 46,000km.
Makes you wonder if the EV specific tires from other brands are just a gimmick.

This is a bad miscalculation from Continental. Their tires are last 25k miles on EV's
